I signed up for the service through a door to door solicitor representing this company, thinking that the service was $99 for the first service and $89 billed for every three months service. I was surprised to see a billing again this month. I contacted the company and was told that the billing was $89+tax every month. That is not what I signed up for and that is not what the solicitor told me. I even asked if $89 was the charge every 3 months. Furthermore, I found that my signature was entered on each line of items that I had never signed my signature to. I had only signed for use of my payment card. My signature was then duplicated and entered beside line items that I never signed including the fact that I was never informed of a $399 cancellation fee on an 18 month contract. I wasn't even told that it was a contract during this interaction. Even the flyer they give you is deceiving. I thought that the solid colored months were my billing months and that the other months in a white box were additional charges if I were to request additional services during those months. These people will not budge. I had to drop to a $45 a month service for the rest of this contract to not be immediately charged a $399 cancellation fee. But it covers nothing that I can't do myself for less than $45 a month. I have no issues with gentlemen who provided the service to me on site. They were friendly and professional. But if you are signing up for this service or any service, make sure you don't do it with a door to door solicitor and have the company send you the contract first to read thoroughly. I don't like writing these types of reviews, but you really have to cover your butt and your wallet. Updated response: I "Did NOT" sign a contract. I signed only for the use of my card for billing purposes. After which my signature was entered into other line items and I was told by the account representative on the phone during my inquiry that... "it saves time for the customer". How is this legal? IT IS NOT! I would like to know what the shortened contract is now, because I was not informed that the $45 a month contract was shortened. Enlighten me. I can keep this up because this is deceptive. Any future door to door solicitors who breach my "LOCKED" gate and crawl over it will be turned away. Again, if you are looking for a company for pest control, do not go through a door to door solicitor. Contact the company, and that would include RIDD, and have them send you a full contract of services provided. Then contact the company with your questions on billing practices, costs and services, terms of service and contract cancellations. I have only heard of contracts with mortgages, phone lines, and leasing a vehicle. RIDDiculous!

The monthly billing is standard for all our customers and laid out in a billing schedule on the contract. We do see that you worked with your account manager to shorten the term of service and to also have the bill lowered to a service that better suits your needs. Gary was so polite when servicing my home. He went out of his way after the service was complete to walk me outside and showed me an area of concern for termites and even educated me about a few things. Very friendly and professional.
Austin was our technician today, he did excellent job, he went far and beyond his service. Our yard had some mole problems that I didn't even know we have, but he thought me explained me all about it. He treated the areas and informed that it's not good for my dog to be around, he also took care of the ants that are in the back yard. He was very polite and respectful. Good job Austin.👍

Taylor did a great job! He heard my concerns. I very rarely see any insects or bugs after they have completed their treatment. 3/24/26 Austin is absolutely great! So helpful, respectful of our property and does a very good job.
Kenyatta paid close attention to detail and was very professional in his work performance. He made sure to cover all of the areas that I requested and best of all he had the most wonderful Pleasant happy disposition! I love working around people like this.

The technicians who come out to service the property have been professional and courteous. Unfortunately, the company’s sales process and contract practices completely overshadow that. I signed up expecting quarterly service, but was placed on a bi monthly service schedule instead. When I tried to cancel, I was told I couldn’t because of the contract. That’s a major issue — especially since the sales rep told me I would receive a text confirmation of the agreement, which I never received. Because of that, I didn’t fully realize the billing setup until later. Requiring a contract for routine pest control is already concerning. When the signup process feels high-pressure or unclear, and promised documentation isn’t provided, it comes across less like customer service and more like a lock-in strategy. Also, be cautious with any upfront startup fee — make sure you understand exactly what it covers before agreeing. I chose this company because I had just moved into my home and needed service quickly. If I could do it again, I would take more time to compare options. Many companies offer month-to-month service without contracts, and for basic pest prevention, DIY treatments can be far more cost-effective. I would strongly encourage anyone considering this company to slow down before signing anything. Once you fully understand the pricing and service structure, you may feel differently — and that’s precisely why they lock people in.

Hi Thomas,<br><br>We have reviewed your account and can see that the contract signed was for a Pest 6 subscription, meaning that service is indeed bimonthly. This was signed back on 5/1/2025. Any signed agreement was sent to you via the email on your account. You can also access any documents, service notifications, billing info, etc. through your customer portal at any time. We did not hear that you wanted this to be a quarterly service until 8 months after the service started. It looks like when we spoke to you we offered to drop the service to a Pest 4 subscription to help finish out your contract and avoid the early cancelation fee. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do for you! Looks like you are location in our Raleigh branch as well, not this Atlanta branch.
When I got a text of the day of arrival I simply text back and said no areas cancel the technician still showed up at my house and treated outside I had told him to cancel for that day now I have a charge for $130 that I told him to cancel

Sales person rang my doorbell despite a no soliciting sign and woke my child. Rode their hoverboard through my grass and would not speak to me through my doorbell at all. I will make it a point to tell everyone I know to avoid this deeply unethical company.

If you're still going to have door-to-door sales people, please ensure they can read and comprehend a "no soliciting" sign. Sales guy also rang the doorbell so many times that it woke our sleeping baby and then rode his hoverboard through our grass, despite the driveway being clear (I have footage). Extraordinarily unprofessional behavior, will be sure to not recommend Ridd Pest Control to everyone I can.

Worst company to deal with. You’re better off doing it yourself. Multiple times they showed up and only did the front yard. They were supposed to clean the spider webs and only did it once. They didn’t show up at all a few times. I emailed them with several complaints. Canceled my contract and they sent it to collections.

Then, unfortunately, there was an unpaid balance on the account starting in March. Therefore, we were unable to provide service until the past due balance was paid and the account went to collections. We wish you well in your future endeavors!
I am highly disappointed with this company and their service, I didnt get the service I asked for upfront and when I called to speak to a representative about it they said they could add it on (which I was already supposed to have initially) and then they had the audacity to say it would be an extra fee, WHEN I asked about canceling the plan because the services I am receiving is not what I asked for the rep told me I would be charged regardless and didn't even try to help me with what I needed and wanted. If I could give a half of a star or no star at all trust me That's what I would have done.

They’re supposed to show up every other month for services but I never hear anything and I have to call them to make an appointment for them to come out. Sometimes they show up Sometimes they don’t and then they send a text the next day “sorry for any inconvenience” and then when they do show up after trying to figure out times because my husband and I work for a living and aren’t home during the day they sometimes show up when we aren’t home so the outside of the house take pictures and leave and then I have to start the process all over the next time. It’s a headache for me but they make sure their payment comes out every single month.

In order to complete the interior an adult must be present in the home. However, the main focus of every treatment is the exterior of the home. This will provide you the barrier that you need to prevent any bugs from entering the home since they originate from the exterior. Nonetheless, we can very well treat the interior of your home! Ridd Pest Control failed to provide the services I contracted them for. A key part of the agreement was the removal of all spider webs from our home during each visit. Despite reminding them every time, this task was consistently neglected. This specific service was a major selling point presented by their representative at the time of signup. Although they eventually offered a discounted rate, my concern was never about the money — it was about the lack of follow-through on their promised services. Additionally, their technicians routinely arrived hours late for scheduled appointments. Now, they are charging me a cancellation fee, despite not fulfilling the terms of our agreement. This fee is unjustified, as they did not deliver the services I paid for.

For some reason this review keeps disappearing…but here it is again. I would avoid this place. We signed up for service in April 2025. They came out “treated yard etc” still had problems with ants. Called a few weeks later to cancel. Told them still ants all over yard. Eves of house still had spider webs. They said oh we had you scheduled for follow up next week. We do all new customers this way. I said news to me. No one told me that. They showed up following week. Showed them areas with ants. They sent two techs out to treat. That was on 5-6-25. After they left noticed vehicles in driveway had bug granular all over tops on roof of them, hood and trunk as well. Not sure why they slung that on our cars. I ended up washing them to get off. That was unprofessional. Fast forward. A few weeks after treatment, we still have ants. The areas they “treated” guess what still ants. I was bitten in driveway by ants. There are still ant hills in yard in area treated. School is out and kids were playing on trampoline, that has net around it. Guess what bug treatment granular were coming out from under the pad on the trampoline. Not sure how or why it was full of these. It’s like they instead of spraying yard spray up in air all around and just let it fall wherever. I’ll be calling to cancel today. I’m sure they will say if we can come back out treat areas again for free. At this point the service gets” ridd” of nothing and id rather they didn’t come back to my home to coat my cars and kids trampoline with bug granular. They also charge you a cancellation fee, which is ridiculous for poor service. Guess that’s what these business do now. Lock you in to pay no matter how bad they are. My advice save your money go another route. In the end you’ll be happier you did.
