Just fired Julington Creek. VERY DISAPPOINTED! I was a proud and loyal customer for close to 2 years on a 6-week cycle. Due to this Winter's frost, and given lawns were deeply dormant, I asked to skip a treatment, i.e. one treatment. I was told that I could not, that I'd need to cancel and restart. I did. Yesterday, I called to restart. They increased my fee and wanted a re-activation fee, for more than the treatment I skipped. Arrrgh. My response: Goodbye, Julington Creek. You're fired. Customer loyalty is a two-way street. It's not like there aren't less expensive alternatives.

It's not possible to fire a company when you aren't currently our customer. We explained kindly when you cancelled because it was winter, that it is a recurring service. We have a different area of focus for and different chemical agents are applied at each visit. If you cancel and elect to restart service in the future, it is the same as with any new customer. You receive the current pricing, and as we have no contracts and the no-charge service calls commence immediately, there is a one-time start-up charge on the first visit, as additional product and service is rendered to get your lawn in as good condition as possible, as quickly as possible. Your lawn was first priced in early 2024, and the new estimate given to you yesterday was $5 higher...two years later. While we are sorry that you are unhappy about the terms of restarting service with us, we are happy that you've been a proud customer in the past and enjoyed our work. We appreciate your contacting us to recommence with service, and wish you much happiness in the future.

Had a cinch bug problem and didn't realize. called this company they come take a look in the supervisor, Jordan came out in the pouring rain. Did his assessment and confirmed there was chinch bugs and webworms. Hired them on the spot they came out and did their treatment after I relayed all the damage sod in my lawn, came out beautiful, blooming, top tier. I believe one of tech's name is Craig and even tho I wasn't home he'd show up as scheduled for treatment. Connie, the front lines, over the phone is very accommodating and insightful. Great team all around

After 15 years of using this company with great success, the technician was changed last year. I phoned the office numerous times to vent my frustration with the condition of the lawn. Now it’s my responsibility to get it back in shape. My last treatment was with another tech that did a wonderful job. After being denied for another tech, I finally had to cancel. Unfortunately, my neighbors on both sides have had lawn issues as well with the current tech- one has already canceled. Shouldn’t have to keep paying for a service with bad results.

We so appreciate your having been on service with us!  The technician for your area was changed two years ago, in January of 2024.  The person selected was promoted into your route after having spent five successful years in our employ.  After 30 weeks of this tech visiting your property with no issues, the first record of brown areas was reported by him in August 2024.  He recommended checking the irrigation in these areas, as they were demonstrating evidence of heat- and drought-stress, as well as applying topsoil to help aid in recovery.  He would go on to recommend this to you at each service for the subsequent eleven visits…more than a year…at times leaving extensive notes on how to both topdress and verify irrigation coverage.  <br> <br>Subsequently, both the Branch Manager and Service Manager visited the property to conduct multiple manager walks.  The Branch Manager outlined the need for topdressing of this old damage and checking the irrigation coverage.  He would underscore the criticality of this again in a subsequent visit.  When you requested a different manager come to visit, the determination was the same.  We continued to monitor the property between scheduled applications, providing four additional service calls at no charge in a six-week period. We kindly advised you over the course of more than a year regarding what was required to realize improvement in the lawn.<br> <br>We are sorry that we could not change your technician; however, you would have experienced these issues independent of the tech assigned to your property.  As kindly explained, technicians are assigned to a route, and from an operational perspective, it is not feasible to send techs from other regions to conduct work in a different geographical area on a routine basis.  Further, we receive many compliments from customers regarding the technician for your area for his diligence and kindness, and we believe from both his detailed application notes and the follow-up manager visits that he did his best to provide you with good service. Again, we so appreciate your having been our customer and wish you much luck with your future turf management company!

The best thing, though, is the level of service these guys provide, and the extra small things they do that are above and beyond what they are obligated to do - like bringing in the trash bin when we were out of town and pointing out broken sprinkler heads. A customer for many years, but the average performance went downhill (while their price went up, and up). Certain weeds would never go away, even with calls to the office to address them. Earlier in the year, I asked them to have someone visit to solve a bigger weed problem. They acknowledged there was a problem and then pointed out other issues; so, I guess they know their shortcomings. There was also a funny situation; within a week, one person told me I was watering too much, and then another told me I needed to water more. Buyer beware.

We have had two price increases in our company's history, only one of which impacted your account. It was in July 2021 for $7.16/month. We were surprised to receive this review, because our last paid application for you was back in February 2025. We performed a final service for you in April 2025, after you had expressed that you had some concerns regarding your lawn, and kindly later credited the amount back to you for that visit at your request. It appears this review was prompted by the collections letter that was recently sent for the previous balance on your account. We performed the February 2025 application in good faith, payment is due at the time of service, and it was not until over a month later that you contacted us to express any concerns with the lawn. Again, we did credit the final application for you, but it is not reasonable to ask that we go back and credit previous services that were performed and to give to us a bad review, because we kindly explained we could not. We enjoyed having you as a customer, and wish you the very best with your new turf management company.

We were very disappointed in their expertise for turf care. We hired them with high hopes to care for our lawn while we were away for many months, but after a full year, we lost roughly 25% of our lawn. Technicians did not identify or note any problems during the year, so the damage was left unchecked. I’m a professional in the landscape industry myself and do not recommend them.

I asked for a lawn soil test four different times over 6 months they never completed it.They over sprayed my lawn with chemicals and destroyed my grass, now I have to replace 5 pallets of St.Augustine grass. When I called they were extremely rude and gave me a hard time about canceling even with a zero balance. If you want to consider a good company to work with don’t trust this company.

Well, what we do know here is that you are not being honest. About requesting soil samples four times over six (of the seven) months you were on service with us. About being given a hard time cancelling your service…we have no contracts, and if anyone ever wants to cancel, it is an extremely easy and quick process. Nor about the person with whom you spoke being extremely rude to you. I was that person, and can personally attest that anyone who calls and with whom I have spoken has been treated with kindness, respect, and care, regardless of whether they are being kind in return. In your case, a manager actually cancelled your service, and was happy to do so after being met with your unprofessionalism and string of expletives when he was trying to arrange a manager walk of your lawn so that he may address any concerns. And you certainly were not gracious to me when you later called, and I still wished you well and did my best to help you. Thankful for the many wonderful customers we have, the trust we’ve earned in the community, and the integrity, expertise, and kindness with which we conduct business.

At first, he said he didn’t do it because there was a big dog in the back referring to the Maltese. Then He changes the story and says he did do the backyard. The lady who answered the phone, you would think it was her son who did not do the task. So if you want to be called a liar when you called them out and them not doing their job, feel free to use them. I however will never use these people again. No one in my family will. A high priced lawn service that should provide excellent service. Most times this is true, but if you have an issue the management is horrible. Two weeks ago the branch manager Aaron looked at our lawn and agreed it should be greener. He asked us to wait two weeks and they will recheck. Instead, he sent one of his mangers, Steve. Steve was rude, lied to my wife about the number of recent fertilizations, and told her that her expectations are too high. Then we complained and of fixing the issue they dropped. First pictures U1 and U3 are our yard, the other 4 are yards on our street within site from us. You decide. Obviously something is wrong but they refuse to fix it. Thank you for your fake response. Yes my wife did say some things about JC she shouldn't have, and I have addressed that. JC is an awesome tech that i will I could move on with. But the way your manager treated my wife while I was out of town was more than anyone should have to take. And yes he did lie about the treatments. The December treatment was only Potassium, and he stated that we had two full treatments (green up included) in the last 3 months was a flat out lie. Then when my wife pressed him further, he told her that her expectations were just too high. I cant see how at your prices that is even possible. I do apologize to the office staff for my profanity, but being out of town and having to deal with this is too much. I am glad to move on. I never respected JCPC much since our first attempt and was told we had alligator weeds, and they were never killed in 2 years. When I went to a new company they never heard of alligator weeds, and identified them as Virginia Button weeds. They were gone in 6 months. I am very happy to move on to another company where the management hopefully respects the customer more. Just with I could bring JC.

When you called yesterday, you cursed at our office manager, and preceding expletives with "Excuse my French" doesn't actually excuse them. Your wife was repeatedly calling the office disparaging one of our technicians, stating that he was sabotaging your lawn, withholding chemicals from you and applying them to other's properties, and showing other yards preferential treatment. This is a technician who has been in our employ for years, is lauded by our customers, and demonstrates an extraordinarily high level of integrity and expertise. We won't allow our employees to be treated poorly. They are hard-working, wonderful people and don't deserve to be subjected to profanity or wild speculations about them not liking your wife and thus making your neighbors’ lawns look better. We sent a Branch Manager and Service Manager both to your home to address your concerns that your lawn wasn't as green as your neighbors, and the Service Manager concluded yesterday that your lawn had responded well to the last application, and we would see you at your next visit in two weeks. Frankly, the repeated calls from your wife saying she was "raging" and making these wild accusations against JC and your profanity-laced call accusing the service manager of saying something he never did regarding the number of times your lawn was fertilized were so over the top and out of line that we could not continue to do business with you. We applied the same standard of care to your lawn as to your neighbors' and, in fact, gave to you extra service and attention to address your concerns. We wish you the best with your new turf management company.

There is no way my lawn is the greenest in my neighborhood. In fact its got such a bad fungus that JCPC could not control over the last month it now appears to be about 1/4 completely dead. I know why. The best fungus treatment is Headway. I watched the tech spread a minute amount with a handheld spreader that was never going to be enough to control it. I used this product myself before i began paying a "professional" and it is expensive. So, there you have the reason my lawn is the worst in the neighborhood. I am never going to allow JCPC on my property again. I wish i could make them pay for new sod...but im sure they will have an excuse and probably come up with some fine print to make them not responsible. VERY DISSAPOINTING to watch my lawn go from beautiful to 1/4 dead in a single season using this company. I worked very hard to get it perfect and start a lawn service for the first time in 25 years...it got me nothing but a few hundred dollars poorer and the worst looking lawn on my street!

Thank you for your review. You had started service with us earlier this year on March 30th. It was noted at time of estimate that you had an active chinch bug infestation, and the lawn was in such poor shape that at the first service, we scheduled a two-week return visit at no charge to follow-up on the condition. We afterward provided four additional visits at no charge to treat your lawn, and at your last paid service on 10/27, no issues were noted. We received an online request for customer support from you on 11/27 citing you had just returned from a trip and noticed that you had very bad fungus patches that had developed in your yard. We came out at no charge the next day, 11/28, and treated with one of the four chemical agents we use to combat fungus, less than two weeks ago. Conditions have been optimal for the development of fungus these past few weeks, and while we can't prevent this, we can respond as soon as our customers notice any issues with their lawn. As soon as we received your request, we were able to get you on the schedule for the following day, and spoke with you personally to let you know. It doesn't seem very kind nor fair to publish a review that your lawn was perfect and beautiful and that our service had led it to be the worst in the neighborhood. Nor is it reasonable to expect that because you are receiving treatments for your lawn each six weeks that you will never have any issues with it. Conditions can present at any time, and as soon as you reported it to us after having been out of town, we responded and treated to try to help. We were actually going to schedule you for a follow-up service call at no charge to reassess and treat until we saw your denotation that we would never be allowed back on your lawn. Your service is cancelled effective today, and we wish you the best with your future endeavors.

I had two homes serviced by Julington Creek. Both homes ended up with dead grass and cinch bug damage due to poor service technicians and management. They have a high turn over. I had 3 different technicians in a 6 month period. (Your services performed are only as good as the person applying the product and understanding what problems may arise.) They seem to play "catch-up" rather than foreseeing problems. Disaster in the making! When I called in to the office numerous times, I received a phone call back from the wife of the company (not the husband with the experience) telling me that I was wrong and that they would not send the owner out to either house all the damage. Do not hire this company! Plenty of other options for great service. I now have the most damaged lawn in the neighborhood and it will cost me $1000's to repair the damage. The pictures represent only one area of my lawn. There are other numerous areas.

Let me start by saying that the accusation of having a high turnover is far from the truth and you have not had three different technicians over the last 6 months. We in fact have an extremely low turnover and the technicians that have serviced your properties over the last two plus years are still with us. Occasionally routes are adjusted as our business needs change or one technician will fill in for another while on vacation. As “the wife and not the husband with the experience” I am still very knowledgeable, but that couldn't be conveyed because you kept talking over me and wouldn’t let me speak. You demanded an appointment to walk the lawn with someone and then hung-up. After immediately attempting to call you back you didn’t answer. Heather also tried to help you, but you would not stop yelling and eventually hung up on her as well. How is it possible to schedule an appointment for someone to walk the lawn with you when you resort to hanging up on people or not answering?

So I have had JCPC for 1 year now, and unfortunately as much as they have the potential of doing good work they some times will ruin your lawn. Worst part is it's never their fault or responsibility I simply asked if my yard looked professionally treated, Jordan would not respond. I've attached pictures for you to judge for yourself. First Issue: Crab Grass which grown over your St Augustine grass and kills it. (the reason we hired them last year) It took them 8 months to treat it last year and here we are mid summer with the same issue. Jordan came out looked at it and said "it has been since the first week of July since our last treatment and the "wet" sports is what's causing the extreme weed growth.... (we live in Florida) Then he added he cannot prevent weed... Second Issue: I have SEVERE Web Sod Worms, in many spots on my grass, and was told that it is MY fault for not calling them sooner. (I was out of town for 2 weeks). Last thing, I suspect they have not treated my lawn properly, so I requested a list of items and the amount sprayed on my lawn over the past year, was told since they provided it on the date of service they will not provide any thing additional. At this point I have had 2 other companies come out and without me mentioning JCPC, both companies said that the amount of chemical to treat my "bad" areas was not appropriate. But Jordan's words to me as his customer is "my expectation is too high!" I am not a complainer, but I wanted to share my experience.

During our meeting on 8/2/19 you expressed concern about several areas of sod webworms, as well as a patch of Virginia buttonweed (which you refer to as crabgrass in your review) in the back right corner of the yard. The part you chose to leave out of your review was that your wife originally called about the issue on 7/29/19. She was made aware at that time that your property was due for service, but we would not be able to come out again until the past due balance on your account was satisfied. She refused to pay and instead scheduled the meeting you and I had on 8/2/19. We did attempt to schedule the meeting sooner but she insisted on that date. She was made aware that the sod webworms would continue spreading rapidly until they were treated. Had you paid your balance and allowed us to come out the damage could have been minimized. It is worth noting there were many occasions during your time on service where applications were delayed due to non-payment. Deviation from the application schedule will most definitely lower the effectiveness of our program.<br><br>You also stated that since you have us treating your lawn, you do not feel that any weeds we killed off previously should ever come back. I attempted to explain to you that weeds leave seeds in the ground that germinate at a later date. I offered multiple times to send your technician out to treat this issue, but you maintained that you should not have any weeds in the first place.<br><br>We had the exact same conversation regarding the sod webworms. You told me you felt that our services were not effective because you had them in the first place. There is no product on the market that will eliminate the possibility of any insect from being able to exist in your lawn. A lot can happen during the 6 weeks between our applications, so we do rely on our customer as our eyes on the lawn during that period of time. We will respond quickly to diagnose and treat any issue you alert us to, unless of course you have a past due balance on your account that you are unwilling to satisfy.<br><br>Despite explaining all of this to you in multiple ways, you refused to believe that you as the customer have any level of responsibility in your lawn. It was at this point I told you that your expectations are unrealistic and that I felt it would be best for us to part ways. Our turf management programs are extremely effective, but we do need cooperation from our customers to deliver the best results possible.
