Eric and Zacheriah were very courteous, polite, and speedy. They performed a localized termite treatment on a window frame in about 15 minutes. Proven Termite Solutions also provided us with a 3 year warranty on the work.

Great company to work with. Prompt response to questions, explained how the subterranian termites worked and how to exterminate them. Took care to prep the work area, drilled holes and filled them after they applied the insectacide. Would recommend them highly.

I called with a few questions about termites in the yard and the receptionist was very helpful and knowledgeable. She didn't try to upsell me or schedule and unnecessary inspection. A rare interaction these days.

Proven offered the best price among the three quotes we got for fumigation and subterranean termite treatment. Our overall experience with them was smooth: working with Ryan in Sales, scheduling with Chris at the office, and having Ryan the tech perform the subterranean work. I appreciated that a human always answered the phone at the office and I didn't have to go through a series of automated options when I called. Ryan (tech) was professional and especially helpful, providing us with insight for all our questions. He was very knowledgeable and thorough with his work. The only part that could have been improved was that a subcontractor was used for our fumigation, and there was some loss of communication. The subcontractor was great, and we were happy with their services. We were just unsure of their arrival time and then they told a different guaranteed completion time than originally expected, per our Proven contract. I had to call the subcontractor's office who did the scheduling to request an early clear time so that they would be done with fumigation before our PG&E appointment to turn the gas back on. An inconvenience that could be improved, but fumigation went well. Proven has made the troublesome process of termite treatment as easy as possible and we appreciate their work!

Updated: This review is a checklist for those who are sensitive to any type of harmful substances in the air. I highly value honest reviews, and just want to share what I wish I knew before signing off on fumigation by my landlord. Common questions I had, and what my advice is for you: 1) Is there residue? There was a thick film of white dust left on my furniture (desk and side table) that was left inside the apartment. I learned that it's due to the windows staying open during fumigation. They told me it's not toxic, but I suggest definitely do a thorough cleaning before moving in your items. Recommendation: Move all your furniture items into a U-Haul rental truck during fumigation. 2) Is it safe to return the same day they take off the tent? The ventilation process, is done with the tent still on, and for 22 hours ish. According to the CA regulations, it's following protocol, but for me, I chose to wait an extra 4 days to return to my apartment. Even still, I had dizziness, headaches, and shortness of breath. 3) Are there health risks from fumigation? Anytime there are lethal chemicals/pesticides involved, of course there are risks, and you sign a paper noting that you're aware of them. However, if you're worried at all about your health and post fumigation air quality, I would read up on fumigation alternatives before going through with it. I didn't do enough research, and just trusted what I heard from my landlord, but each person will have a different reaction. I had a respiratory induced panic attack in the early morning 4am (this was my first time having a panic attack, so I didn't know numbness in my hands, was more likely due to panic attack, rather than vikane/chloropicrin toxicity). I went to the ER, got several lab tests and x-ray for lungs, Hospital bill was $17,000, with insurance, my out of pocket was $3,000. A huge bill, for something completely unexpected. 4) What happens if you call poison control? I called the poison center number listed on my door post fumigation, to learn more after my visit to the ER, but found the number is completely unrelated to PTS. They said they know nothing about fumigation and cannot share info on how to ventilate the room better, but their response was that any respiratory issues are due to the Chloropicrin (similar to tear gas) agent that was used - it has a chemical half life of around 20 days depending on the temperature & amount of sunlight (in dark cool spaces chloropicrin can last longer. Even still, we had this fumigation Sept 8th, and it was relatively warm, but we don't get sunlight in most of our building, so this could have been less favorable for me). 5) What can you do, in the event that you have symptoms post fumigation as a tenant (not client of PTS)? At the first sign of fumigation, you must contact PTS. Don't contact your landlord, or poison control, call someone at PTS directly, or have someone call on your behalf if you're unable to. At any sign of light headed-ness, dizziness, shortness of breath, tightening of chest, call them (don't email or text). Contact PTS right away, and get another place to stay for the night to reduce any other risk of exposure. Have PTS come out and re-test the levels of Vikane and Chloropicrin, tests near vents and areas that might have trapped chemicals. Keep a log of your symptoms, and log your communication in written form with PTS staff. This entire experience, lasted 30 days, from pre-fumigation prep, staying at my parent's place for 2 weeks, until eventually returning to my apartment. Thankfully, Andrew from PTS came into the picture and brought an honest and empathetic perspective to my incident. He helped me feel safer at my apartment, and spoke with the utmost respect. You should definitely request to get in contact with him if you're having any concerns or worries, pre/post fumigation.

Proven Termite Solutions did great preventative work at our home. Our neighbors had an infestation so we called PTS out to do both tenting and subterranean prevention (they fumigated our home about 15 years ago too). We were initially upset that some pavers close to our home were drilled through as part of the process, but they stepped up and covered the full cost of swapping them out (we luckily had leftover pavers from the landscaping project). Mistakes and miscommunications happen--what matters is how a company responds, and they made it right. I find them trustworthy and recommend them!

Jorge did an excellent job with our termite treatment. He arrived on time, explained the process clearly, and was very professional throughout. The treatment was thorough, and we feel confident the issue was fully addressed. Highly recommend!!

I can strongly echo all of the positive comments in all the other reviews. Very efficient, Jim went the extra mile to help talk tenants off the ledge and address concerns. High quality work at a good value. Highly recommend.

UPDATE: I'm upgrading my review because of the quick and thoughtful response from Jim Weed, of Proven Termite Solutions. Although I am not a client, he reached out to apologize for our experience and to listen to my concerns and suggestions about what would have made the experience better. I believe he took in the feedback and will address the issue. Jim showed that good customer service is in a time when a lot of business do not do that. I'm not sure why I'm giving this business two stars instead of one star. Maybe because the scheduling was smooth, and the technician showed up. After that, no thanks. First of all, the technician called 1.5 hours ahead of the appointment time to let me know he was on his way. I needed to meet him at the property, so I wasn't able to get there in time. He met with the tenant instead, and she confirmed my impression that he was patronizing and cursory. We had already identified one area of concern. He looked at that, confirmed it was an infestation, and declined to inspect the rest of the property. Instead, he provided an estimate for a treatment and a second (higher) estimate for a treatment with a warranty. He ensured me that this treatment would take care of the issue. Meanwhile another inspector (from Mighty Mite) who came in the afternoon found several other areas of infestation, which he clearly explained and demonstrated as infestations. Not only did Proven Termite lose out on a potential customer, they lost what would have been a more lucrative treatment if they had provided an accurate estimate.

I've had Proven Termite Solutions work on my house at least 4 times now. As California homeowners know, we all have termites and it's just a question of when you'll need termite work done. We've had a few places of dry wood treated and also got subterranean treatment last year. Every time PTS has come out, they've been friendly, professional, responsive and answered all our questions. They've been very transparent in their pricing and I haven't had any problems.

Here is my new great update! Jorge Gonzalez of Proven Termite came to my aid yesterday without an appointment when I discovered swarming termites in my primary bathroom. The office made an exception for him to come that day, fitting me into his busy schedule. He quickly determined that the termites were coming outside from the high vertical window. He drilled a tiny hole on the wall on each side of the window, filled it with a toxic foam, & put in a filler which makes the hole disappear. After that I onlysaw one of the termites, & all is well. Jorge and Proven Termite are so caring & went out of their way to be there for me. THANKS SO MUCH PROVEN TERMITE SOLUTIONS!! _______________________________________________________________ Here is my update from December, 2021: Proven Termite Solutions was highly recommended to me by Pied Piper Pest Control who I have used forever, & Proven Termite just like them never disappoints. Jorge and Dan always go out of their way to be efficient, yet protect my furniture and belongings. I have had termites along the wooden beam which runs the entire length of my master bedroom Queen-sized bed. They are so careful and have solved my problem, having stopped termites on both sides of the long wooden beam now. They had to remove the box spring & mattress along with the dust ruffle, but put everything back in perfect order, even making sure that the dust ruffle was perfectly in place. Then they heard this loud banging from underneath the house from a flap from the heat shield rising from my built-in stove. I have had this problem for the last 18 years any time there is any wind in Alum Rock. Within 10 minutes, they completely fixed this problem which has now given me complete peace-of-mind. I had a wonderful conversation about them with Mr. Jim Weed, the owner of Proven Termite Solutions. This company definitely holds super star status in my book! I can highly recommend the entire team at Proven Termite Solutions. Jim Weller provides a cost free estimate and recommends the services that are right for your home. He is extremely professional and does not oversell you. Charlie and George came out to do an indoor treatment of 3 areas in my home and did an excellent job. The best news is that there is a 3 year guarantee for anything old or new!!!

I got a full house fumigation done in Aug 2023. My scheduling experience was good. The vendor sends a 3rd party to do prep work one day prior from the job start date. I got no communication for this visit and just noticed that someone had been in my home and did some prep work. Called the company's phone number and they said we do send an outsourced vendor but apparently they don't tell you. The job was completed as scheduled. I visited the site and found my white garage door had two nail holes right at the center (large enough and super visible), fence on one side had been removed (they did mention it would be done). I had no clue why they didn't put it back though. I called them again and they said it would be done the next day and it was. Another shock was an apple tree I have in my backyard. It had 50-60 apples the day before the job. When the fumigation was done, not one apple on the tree. Someone loved those apples but clear didn't care for the home owners. I called and complained to call center to explain these issues. They were sorry about it and on two different calls said fumigation manager will reach out to me about the nail issue and behavior of the staff. Now, they already collected their money and the issues remaining are something they don't care about so they just never reached out. Whether the fumigation done is any good or not will be known in some time I guess.

I had the best experience with this company. Jorge and Sean were courteous and professional. Even though my warranty had expired by a few month they promptly come out and treated the small area of subterranean termites without charge. I have had other termite companies in the past, but this company is definitely the best.

I called Proven and asked about termite inspection, out of all the companies I called, Proven was the only one asked the right question: how did you know those are termite? Honestly I didn't know, I was freaking out by the bugs. After hearing my description, Marilyn who answered the phone asked me to take photos of the bugs and send to them, so she could show to the inspector and make sure they are termites. It turns out they are not termite, which also gave me a more clear direction on how to handle the situation. Although I didn't use their service, but I'd highly recommend to everyone and my friends who needs termite control!!

They signed me for a 3 year contract, took my $1200 and then never showed up. NOT ONCE.

Out of all the numerous vendors I've used on our home, PTS by far has the best reliability and communication. They respond in a timely manner to your emails and calls, and will communicate proactively if plans change. They tented and fumigated our house, and communicated clearly about what to expect, and followed up with our questions and a visit when we had possible concerns of further termite issues (they were not termites). During the visit, they noticed some potential termite trails and scheduled and completed a treatment under warranty.

PTS company is a really professional termite company. They have a professional process to do all of the fumigations steps. Ryan is my termite inspector. He is really nice and knowledgeable to explain the steps to me and my husband and also our neighborhood, which really helpful for our success of fumigation. Ryan is also super professional. I really recommend him to be the termite inspector. And really like and recommend PTS termite service.

Very good service, and compatible price around San Jose area. Inspector Tim is knowledgeable and patience, he provided couple of useful advices and suggestions around our house maintenance and bug control in general.

I was super impressed with this company! I had 3 bids and Proven Termite Solution beat every other quote I received. They had the best customer service too. I was worried about my roof tiles breaking because I only had 5 extra pieces left and they don’t make my tiles anymore. They kept me updated and gave me piece of mind.
