I came home to find these guys vans parked in various residents parking spots. Including once of their workers parking his personal car in my assigned parking spot. I waited patiently for him to return to his car which he did after about 5 minutes or so. Then other workers started coming over to their van. Whole he moved his car all the workers looked like they were going to jump me out something. They all had a face that said "let's kick this guy's ass" or like they thought I was the jerk here but I said nothing and actually smiled at them. Now I'm watching my car to make sure they don't mess with it. I've never used their services but our apartments do. After this interaction I would never use them. It just seemed like they were trying to intimidate me. They even said something in Spanish to each other as I was walking by and laughed. I seen them loading products into the personal car so if that's not ok by the company just contact me for more information as what I saw and where.

Job was late, incomplete, and damage was above and beyond normal course of business. When I raised these issues with the company they were unprofessional on a number of fronts (e.g., completely disconnected from their billing department). They did offer a discount based on the job issues, but it came no where close to covering the $4500 in damage to the property (they put huge holes *through* the dry wall). Lastly, while they were adjusting and sending me a revised bill, they submit my invoice/property into a mechanical lien - totally insane. So while they were trying to figure out how much I should pay them based on what a bad job they did - they also formally filed my home for non-payment and put a lien on my property? I honestly felt sorry for some of the people that work there, what a horrible company.

Had a pretty bad experience with Joe and the team here at PW. Our home had both mold/asbestos issues and the process took nearly a month long with multiple visits. *First appt he forgot about and was over 1hr 40mins later than what was scheduled. *First cleanup crew just scrubbed the walls and didnt use proper tools to completely remove the mold. *Second visit was late by over 3+ hrs as the communication to the team wasnt relayed correctly on what steps needed to be taken. Instead of just owning up and being honest about a mistake, Joe lied to me and acted as if he didnt know where the team was or ETA but I found later out that he told them to do the wrong work so they had to go back to the gather the proper team/tools/equipment. *They did not encapsulate wall between asbestos and mold remediation due to lack of proper protocol. *Second clean up team (Mauricio) actually did the best job and brought the proper grinding power tools and cleaned the area properly. *Needed to continue to proactively call Joe at every step of the process as he was extremely unorganized and not on top of things. *Still have not received the initial or 2nd work report OR final clearance report as requested twice. I had to escalate things to the corporate office and the manager Liza did a great job of being honest, following up and giving me updates. I would not recommend working with this organization especially after reading more about what others had experienced with abatement situations.

I never give bad reviews. I love leaving great and positive ones. If I don’t have anything nice to say, I don’t say anything at all. But with this, I cannot let it slide. PW Stevens came for Asbestos Abatement. Our ancient ductwork in the crawl space beneath our house tested positive for asbestos. I was told that they would come and safely remove it. The access to the crawl space is in my son’s closet. I was told everything in the room would be covered in plastic and our vents would be sealed. The gentleman were very courteous, despite struggling to communicate. I know some basic Spanish, but found that Google Translator was more effective. I used that to help us ask/answer each other’s questions. Great tool to keep in mind. However, I didn’t stick around to hover and make sure they did things to standard. They were rolling out plastic on the floor as I was leaving. I requested for them to cover my son’s belongings really well (I was told prior to their arrival that all would be covered and sealed for our protection). I was told that they would be finished around 3:30pm. I came back at 2:30 and they were already gone. All of the asbestos ductwork was out in the front yard wrapped in plastic. Now, the reason for my single-star review is not really from walking into a cloudy, dusty house. It was walking into my son’s room to see it caked in a layer of dust on his TV, x-box, and all of his toys, games, and collectibles on his shelves. They didn’t bother covering! I think they only covered my son’s bed. They left their step-stool and piles of dry paper towels that they used to dust or wipe things off with. I expected more care or a level of concern that it’s a hazardous dust that they were there to protect us from. It might be completely industry standard that they “seal” the vents with regular blue masking tape, but it seemed cheesy to me. Two of the vents were lifted out of their slots, allowing whatever particles to drift up into our living room and into my other son’s bedroom. They probably lifted up while the gentleman was trying to detach the duct. Masking tape doesn’t stick well to carpet. All in all, don’t expect this company to protect you from the asbestos that you hire them to come and protect you from. The company that came 3 days later to pick up the asbestos, takes the wrapped bags of asbestos out of the outer cover of plastic right in front of my husband’s office and son’s bedroom window and tosses them in their truck. They wore high-end hazmat-like respirator masks, at least. I’m glad I wasn’t the one who paid for this “service”. I would want my money back.

They offered a competitive quote for the work, and were very helpful in getting it scheduled. The work area was sealed well, and they seemed to follow all proper procedures. It took them rather longer than expected to do the final cleanup after the removal, and they missed the asbestos tile in one of the rooms -- but they came back and took care of everything, and it is now in great shape. I think they are just a little disorganized. If working with them, I recommend being very clear on the scope of work and the timing, and staying in close communication throughout the process.
