My technician Micah Ayres did a great job with my pest control application. I have two comments that pertain to Fenix Pest Control as a whole, not just to Micah. 1. We are provided with a two hour window in which we can expect the technicians to arrive. However, I have found this is rarely accurate. Micah arrived over an hour before he was supposed to, and we have had previous technicians show up late. This is difficult to accommodate because both my wife and I work outside the home. 2. The pest control application on the window sills leaves a visible film where the residue pools. This is not ideal. Maybe this happens everywhere the spray is applied, but it is very noticeable in the windows.

Roughly a year and a half ago, we changed the pest control company that we were presently with, for over 50 years, to FENIX PEST CONTROL. were told that they had a very good rating and did a great job controlling pests. We were even told at that time that they would take care of mosquitoes. Since living by The lake, controlling mosquitoes would’ve been a great thing ! With Come to find out FENIX has not been all that they are Braggedup to be. I won’t get into too many details, but I will tell you this, we’ve recently had a problem with slab ants. We’ve lived in this house for 10 years and never had a problem with ants Or for that matter any bugs with our last pest control company. We have called a couple times to have FENIX come Back To our home and try to get control of this ant situation. We still do not have the answers Or solutionswe are looking for! The last person who came out in my opinion, was not qualified at all. And again, I’m not going into great detail, this person sprayed all around the basement leaving puddles all over the floor. We had to turn on fans and try to stop up some of the puddles around our appliances and in several rooms with paper towels. I have never seen so much overspray in my life.I have a dog that I did not want to get into that mess and get sick.! Not only that, but we’ve Just put in new windows Throughout our house last year. Taking down my Christmas decorations, I noticed white thick spray caked on to our beautiful oak woodwork around all the windows! Needless to say, I was worse than pissed! I could not believe that they actually sprayed around windows inside The house. Not only that, but my husband uses a CPAP machine and the window right directly over that CPAP machine was completely saturated with white insect spray which to me is NOT acceptable. To me, And probably anyone else,that is very unprofessional of a pest control service to do something like this. I most definitely, would not recommend these people to come into your house to do a service. This is one of many other things that we have had problems with, but I felt that This particular incident was going to be mentioned in my review because this is not the way a pest control company should perform in a home. Now I have to get a professional cleaner to come out and clean around all of my brand new woodwork, and hopefully this Insect repellent will not stain any of my window or floor trim! But most importantly, hoping that this Insecticide that they use, that was sprayed on my husband’s CPAP machine, Will not make him sick!!! Think twice before you get anyone to come out from this company! Unprofessional!

Absolutely did me a huge disservice. I straight up informed my initial contact person of a severe infestation of a no see um type flying insect. After hearing their protocol, I informed him no need to use any products to stir the bugs out of hiding, severe infestation. Each and every single visit that product was used. I can't even say they killed any of the trouble insects within my home or its exterior. Their quarterly pricing seemed fair, until it clearly wasnt. These exterminators were nice guys, but very clueless to what was happening at my resisidence. The contact office personal have zero empathy or understanding to a customer experiencing a severe infestation. They couldn't as much identify the insect, in fact told me I had no insects in my home. As i give this review I am full of maggots under my skin, extremely sick unable to work. My entire life has been nothing but a nightmare since hiring Fenix Pest Control. I will most certainly be getting medical treatment this week as I can not walk and have extensive tissue damage in my legs, arms and my scalp is full of scabs. I will do my best to seek punitive damages against this company. The Madison office was extremely unhelpful, unwillingly, very much uncaring. I would never as much consider this company a pest control company, but a company that trys bringing pest out of hiding to validate a year long service plan. Extremely sickening, thankfully I live alone, as if kids or elderly lived with me, they may not be hanging around like I have. Sad very sad situation and looking forward to give my medical report and report of my living conditions to the very people that told me I have no insects or infestation. Imagine the turmoil I went through in arguing with those people.

Be sure to read the agreement/contract carefully and do not rely solely on what the salesperson says. I was told I was signing a one-year contract. I wasn’t paying close attention, and they continued providing service and billing me after the first year ended. When I noticed an eighth service text message after my one-year period had passed (1 year contract? included five services), I called to check and cancel the scheduled service. They told me I was still under contract until I submitted a 30-day cancellation notice. They said I cannot cancel the scheduled service and if I refuse to get the service I will still billed for the service and warned any non-payment would be sent to collections. Anyway I decided to pay for the 8th service and close my contract(hopefully they did that) Regarding the service itself, the first visit was good—they did a cleaning and treatment as promised. However, the remaining services were very basic and not worth the money you pay. I continued to see bugs getting into the house and had to treat the problem myself with additional bug-control products. Why a lot of 5 star reviews? They offer service cash discounts if you write review specifying the technicians name. Read the 5 star reviews to figure out. In my opinion, their service is not worth the money you pay.

I had a life-changing event and needed to cancel my service. I'm not under contract. However, because I did not schedule my life-changing event more than 30 days prior to my next appointment, I cannot cancel. They offered to defer service to a later date. What this says to me is that they are more concerned with securing that last service than with building a lasting customer. This company really knows how to take advantage of you when you're down. Also, be wary of the reviews on this page. They have such a good rating because they give you a discount after the first service for writing a review here. People are writing good reviews for money and not after they have had enough time with the company to know the pros and cons.

Company did not make it clear at all that this was a year long contract. Since service was for our lake house which we do not use most of the fall, winter and spring months, we never would have agreed to a year long contract. Instead they emphasized the per quarter price and flexibility to schedule as the main selling points. We supposedly have had 3 services so far and only once were we available for them to treat the inside which is what we wanted the service for. Now we are stuck for October, January and April services which will only be outside and which we have found to be very ineffective. This is partly our fault for trusting someone who seemed to be a genuine representative by signing on the spot; however, this was very underhanded on the company's part to not allow any form of cancellation once a contract was signed while not properly making it clear that we were signing up for a year of payments. Finally, we contacted Fenix initially because of a mice problem. All our technician did to address the mice problem was to leave some black mice trap baits (which I found a pack of 12 at Menards for around $5.00). We are extremely unsatisfied with Fenix. The Pest Control Company we use at our primary residence is a zillion times better regarding both customer service and effective treatment. So beware of using Fenix!!

I was new to Madison, and hired Fenix to spray my home while it was empty. I was told to get a good price that I had to use them 2 times which I did. I had really only wanted to use them once. I was unhappy right away as they sprayed my newly painted walls. I was told the spray wouldn’t stain, but it did. Since I had used them the 2 times, I was done with them. Lo and behold, I got scheduled for a third time, and when I called to cancel, they said it was what I agreed to. No way would I have agreed to three times! They said they recorded all phone conversations, but could not find mine. Interesting. I had to pay a cancellation fee of $125 to get rid of them. Of course, they said, it was all my fault as it was in the contract to use them the three times. Why did the manager give me contrary information to the contract? It should have been one and the same! I read others have had an experience like this with Fenix. They say it is because the users hadn’t read there contracts. For me, it seems more of a bait and switch situation. I highly recommend that this company should be avoided.

Seems like Fenix goes through people like crazy, as I’ve never had a consistent person, and even though they said the owner would service our house after multiple problems that never happened. Anyway Elliot was great, and the technicians generally are. The company is totally sketchy, misleading, and wouldn’t get my recommendation.

We had a young man just appear at our door offering services. He asked for the home owner. I am a 22 year old female that lives with my mom who is a full time professor at a college and my dad lives out of state. I may not be the official home owner, but I help out around my home as my mom has a lot on her plate. I am very qualified to decide who my mom will want to talk to for our house. We already have a pest control and do not plan on changing and I told him our company we have and told him that we were fine. He started to get very rude saying that I was not the home owner and making comments like, "who is we? your not the homeowner". I told him one last time that we were fine and started to walk away from my door. As he was leaving he started again to make comments under his breath about me understanding I am not the homeowner. I would not recommend this company if this is how they treat potential clients. If someone says they are fine and not looking, just leave. Maybe leave a card incase they change their mind, but don't belittle some young adult trying to help their mom out.

Representative did not make it clear that this was a year long contract, and instead emphasized the per quarter price as the main selling point. After unsatisfactory service, they did not allow any cancellations whatsoever. This is partly my fault for trusting someone who seemed to be a genuine representative by signing on the spot; however, this was very underhanded on the company's part to not allow any form of cancellation once a contract was signed while not properly making it clear that I am signing up for a year of payments. The overall service felt very inattentive. Even though I separated the furniture from the walls to give the technician room to spray, the technician still sprayed my furniture with chemicals (leaving a very sticky and hard to clean residue). When calling to attempt to cancel, was informed that there is no avenue of proper feedback or any way to cancel further services (I would be charged no matter what). I think this experience says all there is to say about this company's priorities.

We had more than 6 services each time they showed up nothing worked apart from when they show up when it’s 35 degrees(no bugs)just a wast of time you better off paying a visit to your local Ace Hardware, not forgetting getting tricked into a contract and then THE canceling fee.
