I recently used Rich’s Pest Control to get rid of a mouse problem we were having at our home, what a mistake that was. We have noticed in the last year or so a large influx of mice in our yard when cutting the grass and other various outside tasks. We live in the middle of town and have been at the property for 8 years so we knew something was wrong. We recently had new internet installed and the technician left a large hole in the side of our house that he didn’t seal at all (TDS). Within a couple of months of that our cat caught the first mouse inside. I found the hole the installer left and sealed it properly, we had hoped that would stop them from getting inside. Fast forward a few months and to no shock the mice had found another way in. This time we knew it was best to hire a trusted professional to deal with the problem both inside and out. After calling 4-5 exterminators to get feel on price as well as service we settled on a local small business in Rich, needless to say we chose wrong. He quoted us $200-300 over the phone which was the going rate and said he would be able to come same day. When he arrived he brought another associate with him. I went over the spots we regularly had seen mice outside as well as what we had done in the past with sealing the holes etc. They did their inspection, sealed off a few spots, set 4 Walmart traps outside and gave us the bill for $300. Not bad for 33 minutes of work, which included 5-10 minutes of writing a check and asking what they all had done. During our discussion at the end of Rich’s service he instructed us to trim the foam where they had sealed around our home if I so desired, empty the traps and make sure they are pressed tight to the building; also that if I didn’t see any mice in the traps to move them around, didn’t specify where just to “move them around”. After his instruction detailing how we could do the job we had hired him to do I asked if he thought that he had solved our mouse problem, to which he repeatedly said “It should help”. After feeling absolutely zero assurance that our mouse problem was fixed or even on the way to being fixed, I decided to do the hard uncomfortable thing and call him to discuss how we were feeling minutes after our service had been completed. I proceed to tell him how we felt and how he gave us no reassurance that he had done the job we hired him to do, I pointed out that he had done nothing for large problems areas in our yard that he agreed had mice living in. He argued that his license is for structures and that there will always be mice outside… I conceded that I didn’t want to argue anymore as that is all he and his associate were doing almost from the beginning of our phone call. Excuse after excuse about why their pest control business couldn’t do anything about my mouse problem. I only wish that they had told me they didn’t exterminate mice before I hired them to exterminate mice. It was clear they had no intention of trying to stand behind their work or make sure that I was happy. So if you are reading this and looking for pest control save yourself some time calling around for quotes as I have done that for you. I would recommend Ewert Pest Control as they seem to be the best local company for the price, they also offer a guarantee on their work. I have not personally used them however they will be who I use should my own efforts trying to poison the massive mice colony’s in my yard fail. Full disclaimer, after I repeatedly brought up how Rich had done nothing about the many problem areas in our yard he finally offered to come back to put out one more trap, I believe this was only because he knew there was no excuse why he hadn’t done something earlier for this. I declined because I would rather deal with the mice than him again.

Zero confidence or assurance that our pest problem was eradicated and a rude dismissive attitude when we tried to express our concerns. Here less than a half hour and then charged us at the top of their bid. Had no interest in helping us feel satisfied with our service. Would never use again or recommend

We had yellow jackets make their way into our house. A different pest control company basically told us we were out of luck. The guys from RPC came out within 2 hours and got right to work. They were able to treat inside and out and we're wasp free now! I Highly recommend them!

Rich came to my house on a Saturday, when I wasn't exactly sure what kind of critter I had in my house. It ended up being a bunny, hiding in my basement, which he was able to live trap very quickly. He was prompt, laid back, not pushy, and professional.I will absolutely call him again, if needed.

Timely Service. Gave good quotes to help with the issues around my house. Didn't Charge an arm and a leg to come take a look around. Orkin wanted $200 for just and inspection!!! Will recommend to family and friends!
