Normally your techs have been coming to the door and let us know they are here. This time they did not. The sweep of the eaves seemed half assed at most. When treating the yard it seemed he only did 2/3 of it and when he left he did not announce his departure. All the other techs that have been out have done a much better job and spent more than 20 minutes to do so.
Justin did a great job today, checked all the bait and brush all the spider webs. Thanks!

Andrew & Ben were great! I know they already put in a long day before arriving (it was around 7:30pm when they arrived here). They hit all the areas needing attention. They took extra time to keep the ants away since they've seen ant problems at other homes and they've been a problem here in the past. Even after putting in a long day, they were still both really friendly and professional. Great job!

I deeply regret not reading the one-star reviews before signing up with Moxie. Everything they say is absolutely true. My experience has been defined by high-pressure sales tactics, poor results, and deceptive contract terms. 1. Deceptive Sales Tactics A salesperson came to my door and used scare tactics, claiming my yard had numerous issues that required immediate professional intervention. He made several promises that never materialized, including a "free" follow-up visit one month after the initial service to ensure all issues were addressed. That visit never happened. 2. Subpar Service & Worsening Issues Despite the "professional" claims, the actual service is no better than what a homeowner can do themselves. They simply spray basic chemicals and sweep for cobwebs. In fact, since starting with them, my spider problem has actually worsened. 3. Hidden Fees & "Cancel Anytime" Lies I was explicitly told I could "give it a try" and cancel at any time. This was a flat-out lie. When I tried to terminate the service due to poor results, I was hit with a cancellation fee of several hundred dollars for exiting before the 12-month mark. 4. Non-Existent Customer Support The scheduling system is a mess; they often text you just 24 hours before a tech arrives with no regard for your availability. When I tried to resolve my issues via email, customer service went silent, ignored my concerns, and simply dumped the termination fee onto my account without explanation. Bottom line: Do not fall for the door-to-door pitch. Save your money and find a company that values transparency and actual results.

I signed up for Moxie in July. At the time I had lots of ants, spiders, and rodents. Since I have had less of an issue with ants but the rodent problem is out of hand. Moxie only put out one bait station. I emailed them to come back out. They scheduled me a week out to come by. Then they canceled that appointment and it was another week! When they did they didn’t bother with the bait station. I asked to cancel and they said I owed 80% of the remaining services! Ugh! Since then the rodent problem has not subsided maybe slowed but I currently hear a rat inside my walls. I have emailed asking them to come service again and it’s been a month. Moxie will trap you in a contract and deliver poor service. Why would they bother servicing if you can’t get out anyways? DO NOT SIGN UP. Moxie if you’re reading this please just let me out of my contract. I will hire someone else to do the job.

DO NOT SIGN UP FOR ANY SERVICES IF THEY COME TO YOUR DOOR. Whatever the representative will tell you at the door will be a lie; you will be signed up for 12 months of service, even if the representative says otherwise, and they will copy and paste your signature into the contract in multiple places and put initials for you in several boxes, and later claim that you owe them money. I gave them 6 months, paid for 3 services, and still had problems with pests. Called to stop service and was told that I signed a 12-month contract, which I did not, and now have to pay for all services in the future, plus a cancellation fee. Please also note that a third of the positive reviews here positively reviewed other exterminator services, a very interesting setup for fake reviews, it seems. UPDATE: This is a great strategy to claim that I am not a customer. I already called your company and your account manager clearly told me that she will not cancel my account and that I will have to pay all the future fees and she sent me this contract (I deleted personal info from it).

Moxie has one of the worst services, and they never got rid of spider issues inside the home or outside. All the time, they have excuses like we don’t kill them and use deterrence for them to go outside. On other issues, they have pretty bad services. I was going with some under-construction work at my home, asked them to stop treatment, and they charged 80% of the contract value to stop the service. Look for some other solutions and don’t get carried away by their promotions in the summer in-door-to-door campaign.

Dishonest Sales Tactics & Ineffective Service My experience with Moxie Pest Control has been very poor from the initial door-to-door sale to the actual service provided. 1. Deceptive Sales & Predatory Contracts The salesperson used blatant lies to get my business, dropping my neighbor’s name and claiming they had been a loyal customer for years. When I actually spoke to my neighbor, he had never even heard of them. Furthermore, when I signed up, they tried to get me to record/photograph my face for a contract. I refused because it felt unprofessional and invasive. The salesperson told me the contract was waived—only for the company to later "find" a 12-month contract and charge me a cancellation fee when I tried to quit. They are essentially trapping people in agreements they didn't consent to. 2. Lack of Professionalism The scheduling is a joke. Session 1: They showed up several hours late. Session 2: I was given less than 24 hours' notice with no ETA. Session 3: They gave me one hour of notice. Since I wasn't home, the technician spent exactly 5 minutes spraying the outside of my house. Why am I paying full price for a few mins of "work"? 3. The Problem Got Worse I hired them to get rid of ants inside my home. After three sessions, the ant problem is actually worse than when I started. Why did they think spraying the exterior of my house would help with the ant problem? That did nothing but seemingly drive the ants further into the interior of the house. Avoid this company. They use dishonest sales tactics, doesn't respect your time, their "treatment" doesn't work, and had hostile and dismissive call reps. Because of the fraudulent contract claims and the unauthorized cancellation fee, I will be filing a formal complaint with BBB.

BIG UPDATE! Do you not trust a word this company says!! they will come to your door and lie to your face and then once you sign the contract that doesn’t include anything that you discussed, they will still hold you to it! I repeat do not do business with this company!!Ever! They will lie to you! I would give this zero stars if I could!! I’m out nearly $300 because they came to my door and lied to my face!! DO. NOT. USE. THEM. They lied to me. They sales man convinced me of things that were flat out not true. They walked back the attic and the crawlspace, the two spaces that were the whole reason I was sold on their service. The biggest thing: sales guy convinced me that they would go into the crawlspace and thoroughly do it. when the tech actually showed up, he basically told me that he could do something that I could do which is set baits by the door. you can’t promise one thing and deliver another and expect people to just be OK with it. that is the one reason I got the service is because I don’t go in there. I made that extremely clear to the salesman. on hold right now, reversing the charges with the BANK since after 15 minutes on the phone they refused to refund me or cancel my service without me paying a cancellation fee. No. Im not giving a dime now that its going this way. I WAS LIED TO. I was led to believe things that were not true and that is what convinced me to get the service. It is no more complicated than that. Sucks, because the techs were great and they were very friendly and everybody involved except for maybe the Customer Service rep I just talked to has been really, really helpful. Deceitful, yes. But at least helpful. Clearly good people doing their jobs well so feels bad to give them a 1 star but THEY LIED TO ME. I just don’t work with people that lie to me. The customer service rep suggested that I might have to take this to court to get my money back so that might be interesting. Before you use this company, maybe think about the fact that you might end up in court over it!

So I wanted to reach out and let anybody know who might be thinking about signing up with moxie. Pest control that their products do not work. The spiders and slugs have actully gotten worse. The biggest problem I have is the fact that the products that they used broke both of my dogs out in severe hives the day after they came, both times they came out! I told them what was going on with my dogs, and I wasn't happy with the service and I didn't respond fast enough so they charged my card 326.00 for the cancellation fee without my permission or even a courtesy call!! If it was just their products that weren't working on the bugs, I would have just dealt with it. But when it affects my animals, that's different any decent company would have made an exception! THE PRODUCTS THEY USE ARE NOT PET FRIENDLY AND THEY DO NOT WORK!!! To moxie, you are just another check to cash Word of mouth means nothing to them!

Wish I could give negative stars. Had a clear "do not solicit sign" on the door. Salesman completely ignored it and decided to knock anyways. When I pointed it out, he laughed and said "I can't read, I'm dyslexic". Was rude and told me to "calm down". I told him to get off our property and that if he came back I would call the police and officially trespass him. Would never do business with this company and I advise people to stay away from this bad practice. Left a very sour taste in my mouth.

They have come by three times now with no fix on the wasps issue. Today two guys came by and I literally pointed out to them the places where to look for wasp nest and not a single nest has been cleared Probably worst money I ever spent and a significant waste of my time

I am typically only one to write reviews for companies where I've had a great experience. In this case, I feel compelled to call out this company as a warning to my fellow citizens. We switched our pest control to Moxie after meeting a very respectable sales person. After the first several services we noticed that we had seen a significant increase in (large) spiders in our home -- something that didn't happen nearly as much with our previous provider. So we asked them to help us and they offered a warranty treatment and asked if we'd like to schedule for morning or afternoon. We selected afternoon and when we were away and our kids were babysitting their younger siblings, the technician arrived after 9PM at night asking to come in our home. We felt very violated and simply were done. When asking to kindly end our contract early, MOXIE customer service team and their supervisors could not have been LESS helpful. They then automatically charged us over $300 early cancellation fee. If they would have treated us fairly and kindly I would be willing to have written a much different a more glowing review, but we have felt violated and bullied by their organization and would only be inclined to recommend our friends NOT to use this service.
