Over priced, left ductwork disconnected and when they installed a vapor barrier it started to retain water underneath instead of allowing it to normally to the sump pump.

Good afternoon. I understand your frustration with water under the vapor barrier, but that is the purpose of the vapor barrier and digging a channel in the soil under the home was not in the agreed upon scope of work that was accomplished at the home. We quoted to properly install a sump pump system as this current one installed is not professional. We did not create the standing water, that is due to where the home is built. The disconnected stove pipe was just brought to our attention and I offered to fix that once informed but was advised it was taken care of.
Company refused to discontinue prior owner's service and remove baited traps from property after home was purchased.
I have had a really great experience with this pest control company and their team as a whole. Justin Hawkins did my initial inspection at the start of service and his communication was excellent. He took the time to thoroughly explain everything, answered all of my questions with confidence, and was honest without any pressure to upsell services I did not need. David Penrod came out recently and even though he is not my usual technician, I was very impressed with his attention to detail. He did not skip any areas and the service was extremely thorough. Chad Vetter has also been wonderful to work with. He is very communicative, provides detailed service reports, and is quick to answer questions and efficiently provide estimates for multiple complexes. Scott Bradey has been my regular technician for quite some time now and he has been consistently great. Anytime I have questions or concerns about problem areas, he responds quickly and provides thorough inspection reports that give me peace of mind. And Ursela is truly the best hands down. I had an issue one month when I forgot I had replaced my debit card and she was incredibly helpful in getting the new card set up for payment and reassured me that everything was okay. I am sure I am forgetting some people, but overall this team has been professional, responsive, and reliable, and I am very happy with their service.
As a owner of multiple properties I have struggled finding Professionals in the pest control business who will conduct business in a professional manner executing the job over a period of time. Surety Pest Control not only performs the task at hand but also issues a report with photographs each time on site. I have had interaction with a couple of the technicians and have been very pleased with their demeanor and performance.
Surety has been a reliable service provider throughout our time in Coupeville, and has done great work resolving the issues we faced as rural residents. They stand by their work!
Fast service, very knowledgeable, and professional every step of the way. 10/10 would recommend. Haven't heard a rat scratching behind my walls since they showed up!

Surety Pest Control services the home I rent and does a great job at communicating when they will arrive to do the service at the home and even give recommendations of things I can do, like cutting back my rose bushes, to lower the amount of bugs my family sees inside the home. I appreciate both Scott and Chad who have come by to do the services as they are both professional and knowledgeable. Oh and they also clean the gutters of the home!
They arrived so fast and were able to solve my issue so quickly. His knowledge amazed me. The professional manner Justin had impressed my wife and I. He was able to put hers and my mind at ease. Justin was able to add preventative measures in place to help us as well. This kind of service is what all companies should strive for.
We had Surety Pest Control come out to look at our crawl space because we were hearing noises at night. Upon inspection they found rats and wood destroying beetles. They quickly got us on the schedule and completely restored our crawlspace. They were able to make it easy to handle this unexpected large expense through their financing and we have peace of mind now knowing we have a rodent free crawlspace and that the house will stay warmer during the winter. Next year is the Attic! Thank you Surety! We highly recommend them!
Excellent monthly service. Joseph, our service provider, did an exceptional job. Checked in with us each month, checked all the traps, rebated them and stopped in with his report to tell me how things were looking after each visit. I would highly recommend this service company.

Very knowledgeable staff. After Orkin took over I was apprehensive, assuming the transition would be messy. But I was pleased to realize these changes were for the better! Higher standards for training and professionalism and the company really seemed to invest in their employees which shows!
We've had nothing but a great experience with Surety! Our landlord opted to work with them for a rodent issue and we've been very happy with how responsive Surety is. Anthony performed a couple inspections at the request of the property manager and made sure we were informed of the main issues each time. Our regular tech, Joesph, is very friendly, always asks about any issues before getting started, and makes sure we know when he's treating the house to help keep our dog safe. I highly recommend working with Surety!
Quick response to a much needed service, my parents home has a rat problem. Surety came and set traps and has done several follow ups to check and reset traps. Joseph and Paul the technicians have been professional and compassionate to our situation. Definitely recommend them ..
Will come to your house (10) billable days early upon cancellation with no notification at 6:30pm on a Friday night. If I didn’t call I never got regular service. There should be phone/email notifications of scheduled services. Big Positives though: when I needed extra device the office and field were extremely responsive. The Technicians are well mannered and knowledgeable and go out of there way to problem solve. There’s a lack of coordination on SCHEDULING that could remedy a lot of issues this customer experienced. And I have recommended to others but will try our whidbey pest control out of Coupeville at our next residence on the island.

I have called and complained several times about unsafe driving by their service personnel. I have a service road easement that passes over my property within 15 feet of our home which has a steep 20+ degree down hill grade.Their service personnel drive past our home at over 3 times the posted speed limit of 5mph which is based on minimum stopping distance requirements for a vehicle. I have toddler grandchildren that could step out easily and at the speeds they are traveling they will stop 20 to 40 feet beyond the point of impact. Obviously any request for civility from their service personnel falls on deaf ears.
So disappointing.. we have used Surety in the past and been very happy. This past year, not at all the same experience. We had agreed to a weekly plan to take care of rodents. Traps were set and then... crickets. No weekly checks were happening. They billed us and we called multiple times to try to find out what was going on. No response. When I finally filed a complaint with the BBB, lo and behold, I got a quick call. All seemed to be squared away and service was to resume (so sorry, we've gone through a change in the office, etc.). But it didn't. I kept calling and calling, and finally got a live person from an answering service. They told me the manager would call within 24 hours. Nope. Went through this same process 3x before I finally got a call back. Service did pick back up, but was sporadic (not weekly as contracted). The problem WAS taken care of, though, and we liked the tech who serviced our property. She was knowledgeable and friendly (just likely being asked to do way more than was possible - she was in a hurry!). Anyway, we thought it was finally over, paid the bill. Then I get a threat to send to collections a couple of months later, even though I have a cancelled check as proof of payment. Now it actually HAS been sent to collections and I can't get anybody to answer the phone... again. Horrible, horrible experience! Update: September 2022... WOW, 5 months after I thought I had finally gotten things cleared up with these guys, I got a call from a collections agency today. Apparently, Surety/Orkin sent this back to collections again. What in the world? These folks are truly inept on the business end. Shortly after my original review, they had actually sent our account to TWO DIFFERENT collections agencies. So much wasted time to get them to finally admit we were paid in full. That was LAST MAY!!?? Weirdest business practices we've ever had to endure!!
This review will be updated if the owner returns my call. We have been customers since we purchased our home in 2009. We have been on the bi-monthly plan, it is on auto pay, and we received notification of increases in the past. I received an email today indicating our account is past due. I attempted to email proof of payment; the email was returned. I called and left a message only to receive an extremely disappointing return call. The woman claimed I was sent a notice of price increase, but she did not work at Surety when the notice was sent 4/1, and could not confirm communication. I have every email and there was no notification. When confronted with why I was not contacted via telephone if my account has been partially paid since April, I was told I received an invoice. When I informed her this is a rental and I don’t review invoices for an auto pay that has no notification of price increase, I was told that was my problem. When I asked why no one called me, she said, “We sent you invoices. We do not call.” That was an unacceptable answer. When I asked to speak to her manager or the owner, she said he wasn’t in today. When we wrapped up our call and I listed my expectations, one being I receive a call from the owner this week, she then said, “It won’t be this week, he is on vacation.” The lack of communication and terrible customer service has this long time military customer cancelling her service and putting them on notice! You cannot treat customers this way, and expect them to stay. If a customer has consistently made payments and you notice a deviation, any company with excellent customer service would have called to make sure there were no problems! Until today, I was extremely satisfied with Surety and recommended them to multiple military transfers!
This company apparently was bought by Orkin several years ago. We had been on monthly service for more than 5 years. At the time of the pandemic, they stopped showing up and did not contact us, which was very unprofessional, since we would have made other arrangements. They did not show up for 11 months. Finally, they started showing up again as if nothing had happened. Even when contacted, they never apologized for the lack in communication regarding the gap in service. They changed to an every other month service with an increase in billing from $60 to $110 for the same service now provided every other month. They are very non-communicative and unprofessional. We all understand there was a pandemic but they needed to communicate that their service was suspended. As far as I know, the same management is now in charge, and I refuse to use them.
Performance and communication with Surety has been dismal. Throughout 2021 our service was extremely hit and miss even though we had a "monthly" service contract. Now, we're being told that our plan has changed to every two months....without any notice. It will also have been over 3 months since our last service. Not exactly sure why we stay with this type of inferior customer support.
After 12+ years with Surety Pest Control, we have had enough. Their customer service has declined to a point where our house had over $500.00 in damage because a vent was not checked until it was too late. Year after year, numerous phone calls, conversations, and finally a Service Manager who clearly did not have time to talk about my concerns but only time to argue. I would not recommend them to anyone in the local area.
I called to make an appointment for an inspection. They would not give me a time just said that the tech would call me in the morning to set up a time. I waited and didn't receive a call so I called the office. The Tech Heather call me back and she was supposed to come by around 10 am. Never showed up. Never got a call back. Nothing. I'm amazed they are still in business.
Extremely dissatisfied with how I was treated by the lady that books appointments. She is rude and inconsiderate. When I booked the apt she didn't give me much for options and said that with my schedule being difficult she cant do much, I stated I would go somewhere else. As we went back and forth on days she kept saying nothing would work for her. We finally agreed on a day for them to come out (today) and she stated to me that they would call me in the morning with a better time window on when they would be there. I called because its now 11 and they are supposed to be there "around" noon and I have not heard from them letting me know when they will be there. The lady again was rude and told me that she never said that they would call me in the morning just when they were on there way. She knew that I have to work around my tenants classes. The lady ended up hanging up on me. I still have yet to see how they will treat us when they actually come to my building. But I do know I will never use them again because of how this lady treated me. Horrible customer service.
Nice field staff, did ok work, got good results. At first. HOWEVER, the office staff, manager, & owner are all very, VERY difficult to deal with. They are impatient with both customers and employees, and are superb as non-listeners. Overall experience after 3 years of service? TERRIBLE. The decline has been drastic. Make the wise choice, & go with another company, as we (finally) are now doing.
