Outstanding Service. Malik is the best. Excellent Service. This company is very responsive. Any issues I have they responded very fast. Even if my regular person canot show up, they find another person to take his place. Im strongly suggest you do business with this Company. You cannot go wrong.
Braden is an excellent technician. He is very thorough, knowledgeable, and polite.
Braden Was very professional and made sure all areas were sprayed. Outstanding job we will be using recon again in the future
The technician, Malik Allen, took special care in applying the pest repellent outside and throughout the interior of our home. Malik was very courteous, friendly, and respectful. It is good to have an “assigned” technician who knows your property. I welcome Malik as my prefered pest control technician.
Malik did a good job going through all the trouble spots and filled the traps and placed few more traps
Professional and knowledgeable.
Technician let me know when he arrived and when he was finished. He asked if I had any questions. He did a great job!
Brandon did a great job clearing out the old trap and critters. Thanks!
We’ve been using Recon for many years. Daniel Foechterle is one of their best technicians; he's very thorough, always helpful and polite. Highly recommend! Issues promptly resolved by Recon: 🔹Mice in basement 🔹Horrible FLY infestation – literally HUNDREDS of flies buzzing around the entire basement – weird and gross! 🔹Carpenter bees (Daniel F. diligently sprayed and followed up twice in 100 degree heat)… didn’t try to “rush” thru it 🔹Wasp’s nests from fence & roofline 🔹Even removed spider webs from high atop our portico which I couldn’t reach without a ladder. So nice!
Excellent job !!!!! Thank You
Service was excellent. Arrived promptly and provided same day service. Cost was very reasonable. I highly recommend.
Kind and professional. Sprayed everywhere, gave me advise on bugs in the main level.
Been using their service for almost two years. All their technicians are nice and efficient. Very professional. What I like most is they can usually come the next business day so I don't have to wait long.
Daniel did what a True Pest technician would do. He examined/surveyed the backyard (in his street clothes, I had been stung and was concerned) he knew his job. He spotted where the Wasp nest was and went to his truck. Next, he was in his bee suit at the nest which was a small mannequin that had a hole in the back. Treated the nest with "mojo juice", wrapped it in large plastic bag (assured me they would be dead) when I got rid of them and would be Wasp free. The previous Pest Control , sent their Techs out twice, just to spray the area. I wrote a review in Yelp. My 5 STARS rating speaks for itself. I highly recommend, RECON PEST CONTROL.
He was very polite and knowledgeable.
Recon is a great company. Techs are nice and informative. Malik Allen is a amazing tech and great to talk to. Keep up the good work!
They just come when they won’t. No consideration for your timetable. Never ask what works for you. Literally have no clue when they schedule. Also no heads up. No text or email “we’ll be there tomorrow and move stuff if needed” I came home the other day and the van was blocking my driveway. Motioned to the driver to move as I needed in. Rather than ask if I needed access or inside for treatment they drove off. Middle of 5 townhouses. No interior treatment. How can that be worth what I pay?

Hi Dullesgroungsupport:

We take all feedback seriously, but I’m having a hard time verifying your account or any record of service with us. That said, our standard process is to send a notification before every scheduled visit — giving you the chance to reschedule or share any special instructions. We don’t show up without notice.

We have a strong track record of keeping our customers happy, and we’d be happy to review your account and make sure any expectations around communication or service are being met. Feel free to call in and ask to speak with a manager — we’re here to help.

– Recon Pest Control
The Recon treatment does not last. We were just outside the 90 days from the first of three treatments and the roaches came back but Recon refuses to help. Very disappointed.
Response from Recon Pest Control
Kenny & Lanita.

Thanks for your feedback. We’re glad we were able to eliminate the original roach issue — but as with any pest treatment, long-term success depends on continued prevention. Roaches can return if conditions allow, especially in shared buildings or where cleanliness is an issue. What you’re seeing are almost certainly new activity, not a failure of the initial treatment.

If you'd like a follow-up or to discuss an ongoing plan, we’re happy to help. Just reach out
0/10 for actually fixing problems. 7/10 for treating the symptoms. 2/10 for customer service. They’ll spray around just fine but when it comes to a problem all they seem to know what to do is stroll around and lay down traps. I kept telling the last technician (note this is about Daniel, not the other one who’s come out) that they are absolutely coming in through our dishwasher. He checked the dishwasher and admitted he found mice droppings and put down traps, but he was adamant they weren’t coming through there. He did an “inspection” which just consisted of walking into the garage and immediately saying that’s where they were coming in from, and were coming through the conjoining door into the house. When I explained to him how they couldn’t be getting in because I replaced the seal and weather stripping to be air tight, it took a bit of pushback but then he actually inspected the door and agreed I was right, they couldn’t get through it (which means he didn’t even do an inspection of it in the first place), and then when I asked where they were actually coming in from, he just shrugged and said “I don’t know” and left. No more inspection. No checking the outside. Nothing. Yeah I checked behind the dishwasher after they showed me how to pull off the bottom panel and there is a huge hole in the back. Clearly visible from most angles. Guess I’ll have to deal with this on my own.
Edit: I would like to update this I got a call from management explaining that they sent out a new technician who should have been supervised still. In talking to them it sounded like an honest mistake. In the end they made it up to us by providing a full refund. Very friendly customer service even when dealing with a frustrated client. They seem like a genuine mom and pop business. This makes me happy as they provide service for the rest of our neighborhood. I called them for a mouse problem. They wanted to set up a monthly plan and didn’t even offer the estimate for a one time inspection until I asked during final payment. Their technician that came never gave an estimate time of arrival. When he got here the guy spent all of 10 minutes putting down 30 dollars worth of traps I could have bought from Home Depot. After he was done I had to call the company for his notes. Then I had an actual professional come out who pointed out how the technician used the wrong traps and pointed out several points of entry that the technician from this company missed.
Malik tries to do whatever he can to do a good job. I am always pleased by his hard work and friendly attitude.
Lack of communication. Flimsy paper traps as “rodent treatment” did nothing. Waste of $150. Couldn’t get a refund. My $5 target glue traps caught three rats. Highly disappointed with the communication. To be cheated especially in a pandemic sucks. I do not recommend. Use your money elsewhere. It was my first time getting a service. On their website it says “50% off initial service”. We did not get that discount. I called and the receptionist said it wasn’t supposed to be on the website. How misleading right? The technician was just doing his job so I don’t blame him. I blame the manager who refuses to speak to customers . Receptionist does not know the answers to elementary level questions. Please whatever you do , avoid this company at all costs. They tell half truths and refuses to give you your money back even when the service was horrible.
Horrible - don’t waste your time. Here was my experience in a nutshell: -Signed up online for an appointment -Someone called to let me know they were actually not open the day I selected. I rescheduled for an afternoon slot a few days later (was clear that we would not be home in the morning that day) -The exterminator showed up 5 hours early the day of appointment because someone else in the area cancelled . We were not home, as we had stated -The exterminator never confirmed he would not be coming back for our original appointment time until I reached out at the end of the time slot -The exterminator then told us he would not be coming, that Recon COULD NOT DO ANYTHING FOR OUR PROBLEM ANYWAY (silverfish - which it explicitly says they handle on their website) and said he could come back in a few days. No thanks!!!! In my opinion, that is horrible customer service with no concern for commitments to appointments made.
