I've just had the most unbelievable conversation with Justin at Hill's Exterminators and it saddens me to say in my unofficial opinion he may be experiencing some cognitive affects of exposure to the pesticides he's using. Unfortunately, these types of issues tend to worsen over time so I felt like it was necessary to say, BUYER BEWARE. I hired Hill's Exterminators to service a property of mine years ago. At that time, because I'm not local, I gave them my credit card number so they could charge me after each visit. This fact is important. ***They were supposed to charge my card, ELECTRONICALLY, after each visit. Yesterday, I received a notice from my credit card company that someone from Hill's Exterminators had manually punched in my credit card number and charged $825. I called to inquire and left a message. Someone named Justin returned my call and I explained the situation. He gave me a flim flam explanation saying they hadn't charged my card for 5 months so he charged me $825. I said he had every right to be paid, but that type of action should have been preceded by a telephone call to alert me to what was happening. You can't just type in my credit card number unbeknownst to me for that amount without a heads up. I then said, "Wouldn't you agree?" He was immediately defensive (which makes me think something nefarious is happening) and said, "Whatever you think. You haven't paid our invoices for 5 months." ***REMEMBER: They were supposed to charge my card ELECTRONICALLY after each visit AND it should not be a manual transaction. When I brought this to his attention he said, "It doesn't matter because we won't be servicing your property anymore." I told him I thought his response was exaggerated and inappropriate. His response was that it didn't matter because they were no longer servicing my property. So now I have to get my credit card company involved and place a stop on the payment so they can verify whether payments have, or have not been made. IF YOU ARE IN SEARCH OF AN EXTERMINATING AND PEST CONTROL SERVICE, I WOULD ADVISE YOU TO LOOK ELSEWHERE. IF YOU ARE A CURRENT CUSTOMER AND PAY BY CREDIT CARD, I WOULD ADVISE YOU TO CHECK YOUR STATEMENTS. IF YOU ARE JUSTIN I WOULD ADVISE YOU TO VISIT YOUR GENERAL PRACTITIONER, A NEUROLOGIST, AND A HEMATOLOGIST. I truly hope Justin's behavior and unprofessionalism is resulting from a medical condition. Otherwise, this is how he operates his business on a day-to-day basis and it's very sad and disappointing. Lastly, I also felt it was necessary for me to write this JIC anything happens to my property. Justin became unnecessarily unhinged over something very minor. I wanted this interaction to be in the public domain as proof of his mental status. I'll keep the rest of you updated with the new service I hire.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. The "exterminator" doing the inspection DID NOT inspect. Rather he walked around and left, didn't even check the open shed. Bug Buster's came to complete the inspection in which TWO DIFFERENT wood eating insects were found! Still, Justin, the "owner" of Hill's exterminator inc sent me two different bills. When I explained this to Justin, he told me he would keep billing and take me to court. He also told me that I didn't have the money to fight him in court since I couldn't pay the bill. It's about the principal! BEWARE! Please please please BEWARE of this "company".. also, they are not in the BBB. Obviously for good reason.

A bit of venting We had an issue at our home that required us to contact Hills Exterminators. They came right away and treated our home and guaranteed their work. It was a week or so later that we realized that the issue had not been resolved. I called them thinking that they would back up their work. They promptly came and treated again. But a few days later we find the problem still isn't resolved. So my wife went online and found the same product they used at about $20 a can. We ordered several cans and treated the home ourselves. It's been several weeks now and no more problems. This morning I opened my credit card bill and discovered they had billed me twice. When I called them they told me that we had signed an authorization for a second charge. If that is true we signed unaware that they were billing us again as we assumed they were honoring a guarantee. Obviously that wasn't the case as far as they are concerned. Technically they may be right...I'm not sure but as far as customer service goes and doing the right thing I bitterly disagree. They used $40 approximately of product twice and charged me $550.00. Needless to say I would never recommend their service to anyone.

Rude, didn't do work they charged for. Make sure you're there when they come, so you can be sure they do what they charged you for.

Our cat brought fleas in our house back in the 90's. Hills came and got rid of them. We never saw another one. Highly recommended.
