I really hesitate writing this review. I like to look for the best in others and assume positive intent, but after a year I must give a warning. Please DO NOT sign up for Moxie. I will break the review down into three areas...the summer sales guy, the office staff and the actual guys who come spray. First, (positive intent) the guys who come spray listen to our needs, what needs to be sprayed and are courteous and kind. Five stars for them. Second the summer sales guy....ZERO stars due to very misleading information. When he asked who our current bug spray company was, he immediately started to speak ill of them. That should have been our first red flag. He asked if they sprayed the grass or the eaves. No was my answer, they didn't. He said, "this is one reason why you need to switch to Moxie. We spray all trees, shrubs, the eaves, the windows, everything. Our spray is safe for all plants, animals and children". Come to find out from the guys who come to spray, they are not allowed to spray the grass.They are also not allowed to spray eaves or around any windows - they can only spray about 12-24 inches above the ground. The sales guy was selling stuff that was not available, so like I said zero stars. Lastly, the office staff. This is the hardest one. They are curteous, they tell you what you want to hear BUT THEY DO NOT FOLLOW THROUGH. I have an in home preschool and CANNOT be sprayed until after 3:30pm. When I call to schedule EVERY SINGLE TIME we have a very curteous conversation about why the sprayers CANNOT show up until after 3:30pm. The office staff kindly says, "Oh yes, I totally see why, no problem!" We have given your business almost an entire year to be able to do this AND THEY CONTINUE TO SHOW UP while I am teaching preschool, while parents are picking up and or dropping off their kids. It has happened 95% of the appointments we have made with your company and yesterday (Thursday) was the last straw. Monday I called to make an appointment, AGAIN explained WHY I couldn't have them come until after 3:30pm. She totally agreed and said, let me check with the schedules and call you back to make sure we don't come before then while you are teaching. She called me back thirty minutes later with a day (Thursday) and I re-cofirmed that it would be after 3:30pm. She said yes!!! Imagine my utter frustration when two unassuming Moxie sprayers show up with gear on their backs ringing my doorbell at 3:05PM on Thursday. I told them I was teaching preschool and they were not allowed on my property until after 3:30. They left and came back at 3:45pm. I told them when I answered the door with a big smile, "Let's take 2 on this one!" (meaning, lets try this again)...to which they kindly said, "Hi we are so and so from Moxie here to spray for you" I told them I was glad they were here and explained my frustration from earlier. I told these two poor guys that this has happened time and time again, that Moxie sprayers continually interrupt my in home business after me telling them they could ONLY come after 3:30pm. I asked them if they had that specific message, not to come until after 3:30pm. And you know what??? They didn't! They replied, "We have no specific message, we didn't know you were an in home business, we had no idea you needed us to come after 3:30pm and we are SO SORRY!" We kindly agreed that it wasn't their fault, they happily sprayed our home, we kindly told them thank you when they left. So at 4pm Thursday I called the Moxie office. No one answered, so I called back a few minutes later. No answer again, so I left a message that I needed a return phone call. It is Friday at 5:58pm and there has still not been a return call. We have two houses that are serviced by Moxie but not for long. The ZERO STAR effort to get our specific timing request has been denied time and time again and we simply cannot afford to do business with such a poorly run company. DO NOT SWITCH OR START SERVICE WITH MOXIE!!!!

Didn't kill any of the bugs I asked them to take care of wasps throughout the yard very visible and easy to see now when I've repeatedly tried to cancel for over a month and been ignored they keep trying to rebook appointments I don't want because of new pets and a newborn and they never took care of the problems, they charge a cancellation fee of $150 crooked pushy company way way over priced for the underpar services and more so now they've gone out of their way to inconvenience my family once again should have known pushy door to door sales people always work for shady companies. Would not recommend!

Technician did an excellent job. We were tired of our old company. It looked like they never did anything when they came out. It looked like they did a thorough job actually inspected my property. Instead of just walked around and touched the house with the spray or fog. I would highly recommend this company!

Mike was very knowledgeable! He was friendly and kind. He smelled like chocolate cookies! Eventhough after he left I noticed he did not remove the spider webs from my house and bushes. I still had a bunch of spiders on the pillar by my front door. BIG SPIDERS! Huge spider webs! Overall he did a good job! GO FALCONS!

I’ve had Moxie for about two years and Josh D is probably the best person I’ve had so far. He’s thorough, friendly, understanding, and is willing to work with whatever you need to make sure that you are happy. Understands that I have a ginormous tortoise in the backyard that what pesticides and others that cannot be used anywhere near him. Makes sure to keep him safe at all times.

Moxie did a great job today. He sprayed for insects and hornets as well as treating the grass for Grubbs etc. He was very polite and efficient! Asked if we needed anything else done? If I could give a zero star review I would. Somehow Moxie talked my 85 year old mother who we have to move into a care home along with my dad who has dementia into a five application plan for $119.00 for the first service and $169.00 for the subsequent services. The house is going on the market soon. We arrived three weeks after the first application to find a lot of bugs that are healthy for the environment dead in the yard and a very strong smell of chemicals that makes my wife cough. My wife saw a text that the next service was scheduled in five days. My mom called to cancel and was told there would be a $150.00 cancellation charge. I asked a couple of questions like what kind of chemical was used and do they have the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for it because it was a powerful application that you can still smell and cough over a month later. Who sells an 85 year old lady a five application plan and charges them $150.00 the day she calls to cancel? I understand a contract is a contract but you don't talk an 85 year old lady in a contract when she has a husband who has dementia and is moving. Lastly...I know a little bit about chemicals and this bug application was overkill and the ethics set me off. No refund was issued and I was told I would have to be transferred to the account folks. I don't play games with people that take advantage of our elderly and hung up. Please don't use a company that does this and cant tell you the type of chemicals being used.

Their salesman ignored my no soliciting sign and ignored me when I told him I don’t take solicitors. He continued to pitch his sale and I had to finally just close the door while he kept talking. I found that there are other reviews stating the same issue of aggressive sales tactics. I have used them before and am changing my review to reflect this negative experience. We have found spraying for pests ourselves to be more effective and don’t want to be harassed for sales.

A door-to-door salesman for Moxie showed up on our doorstep in December of 2024 We were already happy with our pest control service that we were using but the salesman pitched how much cheaper it was and that he would even give my wife the month of December at no charge after they came for their initial visit in the first charge The follow-up was supposed to be free I was standing there when the salesman said it so was my sister-in-law who shares the bill. He said the next time that we would be charged would be in March. Upon the follow-up visit my wife's account was billed approximately $150 not what the salesman had promised. My wife immediately called Moxie to complain and said that that should not have come out what the salesman had told us. She was told to look at her contract and hung up on. Upon getting home I also called Moxie pest control and they transferred me to the financial department Garrett told me that the charge had been reversed and it should be back in my wife's account within three to five business days. Not shockingly the refund never showed up We 3 weeks after that fact. If you are happy with your pest control do not switch. I have seen zero difference in their service and the service we used before I cannot recommend Moxie pest control They use dishonest sales techniques to get you to sign up They do not honor their word. And when they do not honor their word they tell you that they fixed it and still keep you charged. I suggest going to Best Overalls Pest Control. The owner operator Lincoln is honest does what he says and gets results. After the contract with Moxie is finished I'll be damned if I will renew it. It was against my better judgment to switch in the first place. But a smooth talking salesman talked us into it with lies do not trust Moxie Pest control. I will warn anyone family friends or otherwise also not to use pest control and will shout from the rooftops about their dishonest business practices. Use limit your own risk.

Save your money. I am giving 1 star for the person who initially signed us up. We have NEVER physically seen anyone here when they text to say someone is coming. Even on the first day where they do the big clean up. I have called in specifically to ask for help with ants, wasps and spiders. They have never been worse. We had 50% less issues when we sprayed ourselves. Only had 1 person that we had to schedule in advance to come inside and spray. I don’t believe anybody ever came into the backyard. Such a waste of money. Don’t bother calling in, all they do is verify your information and you are stuck in a 1 year contract or pay $180 to get out early.

I called to get a price/set up an inspection. I followed the prompts and hit the button for new customers, got some lady that sounded like she was in the bathroom who said she “can’t help with new customers”. Transferred me to another ”employee” who didn’t know the price. She transferred me to another “employee” who said the same thing. This one wanted to transfer me to a 4th person and instead came back telling me he needs to have someone follow up with me…Why are these people answering the phone if they don’t know their own company’s pricing structure and can’t find the answer? To me this is a super unprofessional company with awful service and lazy, uninformed employees. The stg standard.

I called last night and said I need to reschedule because I thought I had to leave town. You didn't reschedule but instead apparently showed up and sprayed without letting me know. There was no knock at the door. Absolutely nothing. I have an elderly woman and dog downstairs. I wanted my inside and garage sprayed and that didn't happen. I wanted to show the person where I'm still finding live scorpions and that didn't happen. I want to quit this service but I'm locked into it, with my credit card on file. So I pay you and I have no idea you were here. My son in law was downstairs and he said he saw someone walking around on his phone. I want this service ended ASAP

This is a new review. They came out again to try and do a better job. Still no signs of dead bugs. Go find another pest service. There are plenty of these companies in St George. $99.0 each time they come out!! For this price , one would think we would see something dead. NOPE!! Only live roaches and many spiders Rip off I had this company spray our yard, take care of spiders and webs and nothing but very live roaches, spiders, critters out and about They came back and sprayed again, but here we are. Bugs everywhere and very much alive Do not use this business. There are many more pest control companies in St. George This company must water their solutions down or just use water to look like they are spraying Spend your money elsewhere

I called Moxie after I heard their voice message and told them not to worry aboutcoming and to cancel their service with us. The next day around 2- 2:30 I get home amd they are in my driveway and told me that they had just completed the job. I was NOT happy because I canceled it the night before. The last time I didnt recieve any motice of them coming out. I show up at home in the afternoon and they again were in my driveway having just completed the job. I was overly pist because I didnt have the money to pay them and I did not know they were even coming. Moxie contacted me a few diferent times and in the last few months and I denied the services because I wasn't going to have the no eye to pay due to covid-19. I honestly felt like they were harassing me. I mean serious how many time should I have to deny yheir service for them to stop insisting?
