Crew arrived on time. Removed a dying pear tree. Trimmed my healthy trees and repaired a tree that was damaged in a wind storm. They offered planting advice, location for new additions to the yard. They cleaned up after themselves. I had a contactor on site giving me a bid who commented that Joshua tree is a great business.

Nick was great at explaining what my trees needed and why. I feel like he really wanted to be sure I understood and I didn't feel rushed or pushed into anything. The team that came out and trimmed the trees did a great job. My grandkids kept an eye on them 😉. I will definitely be calling them for any future needs we have. Thank you guys so much for such a great experience!

Cullen applied plant growth inhibitor to prevent overproduction of ornamental plumbs on our flowering plumb tree. To assure optimum efficacy, the application required that the tree be sprayed precisely when the blossoms opened. Because we were out of town, away from home, Cullen was very attentive and conscientious in coming out to inspect the tree every day or two to get the timing just right. He was extremely helpful.

Nick and his crew were great. Informed me of what they were going to do with each tree they trimmed. Their clean up was better than what they found it. Showed up on time and got the job done efficiently and professionally. I look forward to having them return next year and fine tune the trimming. They are also treating all my trees in a couple of weeks.

Joshua Tree was amazing. From Cullen who gave us an estimate to Spencer and Landon who did the work the entire experience was totally 5 star. Their expertise was terrific ad their clean-up after was very good. We will continue to use them for all our tree needs

This company was the most professional I have ever worked with, and they had reasonable rates. Cullen, a certified arborist, came first to determine my needs and provide information. Upon agreement, Spencer, Landon and Andrew pruned my nectarine, my dying silver maple (I'm not ready to take it totally out yet), and my mulberry branches growing into an evergreen. Spencer was very knowledgeable and explained some things to me. Great team effort! 👏 Thanks!

Cullen and his fellow workers did a great job and we were impressed how exacting they were on the clean u o f our glob willow tree, they took extra care to get even the smallest dead branches

Joshua Tree Experts were hired to remove two large pine trees. Also tree trimming and bushes. The crew was very professional and courteous. Got the job done as scheduled with efficiency. The cleanup was excellent. The contractor confirmed he was licensed and insured. I would highly recommend Joshua Tree Experts for anyone looking for excellent work.

Nick and his crew were knowledgeable and easy to work with. Even with snow on the ground they worked quickly trimming 3 of my trees; a cedar,an elm and an oak. They did leave some small branches and twigs on the ground, but I consider that minor.

I had several companies out to look at the removal of three pine trees at my house. Joshua Tree experts was professional and competitively priced. When they showed up, the crew went right to work after talk to me through the project. They had the tree down and cleaned up quicker than I expected. The entire process was easy. I would definitely use them again.

The Joshua Tree team finished with my tree trimming project a few days ago. They were not deterred by the four inches of snow on the ground. The team was friendly, professional and communicated well. They used all the safety equipment and did a great job in cleaning up when they were finished. I would definitely hire them again for future tree trimming projects.

Spencer, Landon, and Andrew did an efficient and safe job removing a 2-story tall old distressed Scotts Pine located close-in to our home and overhanging our roof. We thought this was a daunting job, but they did it in about 90 minutes. They also did a wonderful job working a large old cherry tree back into form -- and work on a couple other trees. During and after the work, clean-up was occurring, and the property was left cleaner than when they arrived. We also requested that we retain all fruit wood for BBQ season, and I noticed they cut down the larger cherry branches to manageable chunks for us without being asked - so cool! One crew member even rescued some cherry branches from the dumpster, where they had fallen from the tree. They really wanted to fully honor our request. The crew was friendly to "talk trees" with, and the owner Nick stopped by to check in on the work. I should mention we learned about Joshua Tree Experts because they did work for our neighbor, where we witnessed the professional crew in action and the pleasing results. They did the same great job for us! They also happened to be the best bid we received, which made us happy.

To start with the good: our overgrown Japanese maple in the front yard looks great. The shaping was well done and appears to have been handled with care. Unfortunately, the rest of our experience was deeply troubling. Nick was great during the initial consultation. He listened carefully, offered advice, and confidently assured us they could handle everything we discussed. However, the morning the crew arrived, the walk-through with the crew chief painted a very different picture. Many things Nick had guaranteed could be done were met with uncertain responses from the crew chief. At that point, with the crew already suited up and starting work, there was heavy pressure to just proceed. Nick seemed anxious to leave for another appointment, and I reluctantly hoped for the best. The final results fell far short of what was promised: • The property line I needed cleared for fence installation was left unfinished • Stumps and saplings Nick said would be fully removed are still there • A crab apple tree Nick promised to shape beautifully looks like a mess • They dragged their debris sled over planted landscaping instead of using the nearby grass/driveway. Multiple branches on a bush we planed in the spring were broken • A water outlet from our rain gutter we had installed a couple of weeks prior was bent at a 45 degree angle • Many of the cuts on branches where half cut and then broken on the bottom instead of clean, finished cuts Most heartbreaking, they heavily thinned a mature tree I had EXPLICITLY told them not to thin. I made it crystal clear, both to Nick and the crew chief, that this tree provided a visual barrier between our house and our neighbor's. They said broken or crossing branches removed. The worker who cut it apparently never got that message and removed four healthy, non-crossing, mature branches that provided most of that barrier. Now we look directly into our neighbor's backyard from our deck. I know I'm in the minority given their ratings, but I cannot recommend Joshua Tree Experts. We are heartbroken over losing the four branches in our entire yard we most wanted preserved. If you do hire them, don't take Nick's sales pitch at face value, and insist on personally briefing whoever will be doing the actual cutting. Nick and the crew chief seemed very knowledgable but the others on the crew, I have no idea what qualifications they have and they clearly weren't paying attention. The disconnect between what was promised and what was delivered cost us something irreplaceable.

I had reached out to several tree companies to have some trees removed from my property Joshua tree experts was the company I chose to take care of my needs. They scheduled me for a bid, which was I felt fair and cost-effective. When I was scheduled to have it done. I appreciated the fact that they were not overbooked even though they are a small company. The work was performed to my satisfaction I am very picky and detailed. They did an awesome job and I was very pleased as I am a business owner as well in snow removal and landscaping maintenance. I will send a lot of work to Joshua tree experts in the future. Spencer and Andrew came out and did the work. They worked very well together, and Nick came out to inspect the job. I have a new partner in the business field, but also new friends.

Joshua Tree Experts completed some work for us today, and I couldn’t be more pleased. We received three bids, and Joshua was very competitive. Ultimately, though, we chose their services because we felt completely confident in the proposal Nick put together for managing our older, mature trees. He was honest, knowledgeable, and communicated clearly throughout the process. Nick, along with Spencer, Landon, and Andrew, did an incredible job. Despite removing nine trees, you would never know any work had taken place—they left the property spotless. We were extremely impressed and will absolutely have them back for additional work in the near future.

We received several quotes for the removal of several large trees from our property due to the new SLC urban wildfire mitigation guidelines in preparation for a SLC fire department defensible space assessment.  We chose Joshua Tree for the project due to the detailed and competitive bid we received after walking the property with the knowledgeable owner, Nick Cummings. The tree removal included several very large trees located against and over our roofline along a sloped and narrow yard. The removal of several trees required technical rigging and sectional dismantling. The crew was very skilled in this type of arborist climbing and they worked safely and efficiently as a team. They arrived on time with the proper equipment including a heavy duty wood chipper and large enclosed haul truck with the company’s name and logo prominently and professionally displayed. They were very pleasant, professional, and respectful of our property.  The communication we received in bid acceptance, project scheduling, and final invoicing was timely and efficient. We couldn’t be happier with the completed project including final cleanup. Nick’s arborist knowledge and experience is such that we will be switching our annual plant healthcare services to Joshua Tree for the ongoing care of our yard. Highly recommended.
