This company has employees who try to scare you into getting service. They showed up at my door, after I canceled the one time service. They cancelled on me and rescheduled for a week later. I told them that won’t work and to cancel the service. I got texts that the account was closed and no services will be done. The spray guy still came out on a random day, not even scheduled and threatened me with cancellation fees and other fees because I told him I canceled the account. I told him no many times before finally having to go inside and leave him on my porch. Would not take no for an answer. They use threats and other tactics to get people to get the services they don’t want. If you are elderly or easily persuaded- DO NOT USE RIDD.

I am very dissatisfied with the pest control service I received. It feels like the company is more focused on collecting money than actually solving the problem. The customer service was poor, and the staff did not seem knowledgeable or able to handle the situation properly. I was not given a clear explanation of the treatment or any effective solution. Overall, the service did not meet my expectations, and I would not recommend this company to others. Ridd pest control don't deserve any star.

Awful service. Customer service is completely useless. Apparently I’m on an annual agreement but my rep told me it was month to month. After moving I called to cancel and they were not helpful at all.

Hi The Band Gooch,<br><br>We apologize for any miscommunication. We can see that on your account the contract was indeed for a term of 12 months. This is standard for all of our customers. The billing is monthly and after the 12 month term is completed the service just moves to month to month. This is all outlined in the signed contract that is on your account. We have these contracts as an effort to be as transparent as possible with the terms and conditions of service. If you did move, we would just need proof of address change sent in so that we could waive the early cancelation fee. We hope this explanation helps!

I’m extremely disappointed with my experience with Ridd Pest Control. I hired them to service a rental property. Unfortunately, instead of solving the problem, I started receiving multiple complaints from tenants that whatever chemicals were being used actually seemed to make the bugs and spiders come inside the home rather than eliminate them. What’s even more frustrating is that I requested cancellation of the service several times, yet they continued charging my account and would not properly cancel. On another occasion, I called asking them to remove a bee nest in the backyard because guests were complaining that their kids couldn’t safely play outside. I was told they couldn’t come out for two weeks, which is not acceptable when dealing with an active rental property and a potential safety concern. As a property manager, I rely on vendors to be responsive, effective, and professional. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience. Refusing to cancel service after repeated requests and continuing to charge a customer is unacceptable. I would strongly caution others to carefully review cancellation terms before signing up.

Hi Jackie,<br><br>We are sorry to hear that you have not had a good experience. We want to make this right for you! You are on a quarterly service, meaning service approximately every 90 days. The last service was on 1/9/26 so the next service will be in April. It looks like during the last service we were unable to find any major issues with bugs and the tenants confirmed that they were not having any issues either. However, please call us for a free reservice if something arises! As far as canceling the account goes, the account is under contract for 12 months. Services were signed up on 5/26/25. If you would like to pay the early cancelation fee, then we would be able to close the account. Once the term of the contract is up, the account moves month to month and you are able to cancel without a fee. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any further questions!

Update: Ezra and George are very personable and great. We've used this service for four years now and our bug problems are gone! Great work! When the bugs start coming back, Ridd quickly comes back to fix the problem. Old: John was very friendly and seemed to go above and beyond treating our house for ants. This is our first visit so I can’t say anything yet on if this service will take care of our pest problem but I was impressed with the quality of service already.

!!! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY !!! They are not even worth a One Star Rating And BTW, my husbands name is Markanthony S., just in case you try and say that his account “doesn’t exist” We are looking into legal matters with them due to the fact that they charged for a service TWO weeks before it was even provided. And then when my husband had surgery the day they were supposed to come, we noticed on our RECORDED FRONT DOOR CAMERA they came to our home, knew we were not there, sprayed the outside of the house when we specifically asked for the inside due to a HUGE case of Brown Recluse Spiders being seen, and then leaving with no note or explanation of what they even sprayed. Then when we called to have them come back and spray the inside of the home like they were supposed to, they RESCHEDULED on us TWICE in one week, with only a text ONE hour before they were due to arrive. No 24 hour notice or anything. Even though they ask that of their “clients “ They refused to give us our money back, gave us a “20 dollar credit” that they didn’t even tell us about and even when my husband asked to be removed as a client, they sent ANOTHER text message saying they were were still active in their system and would still be charged for “future” services. We are currently talking with our lawyer and will be providing texts messages, doctors notes of that surgery day, phone records, and recordings from our blink Camera for evidence.

Hi Chelsea/Markanthony,<br><br>The date of sale was 8/14/25 with service scheduled on 8/15/25. Per policy, the customer was charged on 8/14/25 to then be added onto the schedule. On 8/15/25, the customer called in to rescheduled service until 9/3/25, which was done. The service was completed on 9/3/25. Since the interior was wanting to be done, the customer called in on 9/9/25 to schedule service for 9/16/25. Unfortunately, the technician was sick on the day of 9/16/25 so we could not provided service. A text message was sent to notify the customer of this. On 9/18/25, the technician was still sick and could not service the home. A text message was sent again on this day with the credit for the inconvenience. We hope this explanation helps and we hope to better this working relationship!

What a bunch of shady people! My husband and I signed an 18 month contract with Ridd back in 2021. After seeing an increase in mice, spiders and wasps this last 12 months we agreed paying $300 a service was something we were not willing to do anymore. I called and canceled our service the beginning of June and followed that up with deleting all our banking information from the customer portal. These deceitful people decided to continue to charge us for services we canceled. When my husband called them today, he was told that because we had a balance, they could not cancel services and they were going to continue to charge us and now they were threatening collections on services that were canceled prior to their billing date. My husband paid it and confirms that services are canceled. He proceeds to write a review and Ridd has lied to you all in their response by saying we signed another contract in 2024 and will have to pay a cancelation fee. I would like to see said contract because I know we never signed anything. These money hungry jerks will try to respond to a bad review with lies in hopes that it makes them look better, not to mention the lies originally told about about our balance and cancelling services. Great way to do business and win the hearts of your customers! Good luck to anyone currently doing business with these people. We were a customer for years and prior to this situation, I probably would have recommended them. Now, I encourage current customers to go through your accounts and consider going elsewhere! These people are crooks. Called to cancel service bank on June 2nd. They provided poor service to begin with. They continued to charge me after we canceled and refuse to remove the charges since verbally canceling with them. This is complete fraud and furthermore I've got wasp infestations and huge spiders making their way in to the house from outside. When trying to talk to them they will continue to bill you and refuse to close your account until they are satisfied with what they want. I do not recommend at all. Went with another service... but the way, I have been with you for longer, please send me a copy of the "new" contract... you can't because I didn't renew with you. So, you have my contact information. Please reach out of you thick you want to do what's right. Maybe legal practice but very unethical business practices you use. You obviously posted your reply without looking in to my situation. Garbage company

I had an incredibly frustrating experience with this pest control company, and I'm still in shock over the abysmal customer service. My ordeal began with Maya, who kept me waiting on hold for an unacceptably long time. When I finally got through, I was hoping to resolve the issue, but instead, I was met with extreme rudeness from the manager, Conner (I believe that was his name). As a manager, I expected a certain level of professionalism and an attempt to understand my concerns. Instead, when I tried to cancel my service, his immediate and only response was, "You have to pay $200, ma'am." He seemed entirely uninterested in any dialogue or finding a solution; his sole focus was on collecting that $200. Problem-solving was clearly not his priority. To make matters worse, shortly after our call, he sent me a video made without my permission, which he claimed demonstrated my agreement to a contract. This feels like a desperate tactic. A truly good company wouldn't need to trap customers with contracts; they would retain clients through excellent service!

We had pest control before these guys that was much cheaper, they had a door sales person knock on our door and had us sign a contract, technician came out failed to spray a window well that had a black widow that had a sack of eggs around the web because there was one dragon flower growing there so there was an issue with spraying where a bee could potentially go even though it this window well was covered with plexy glass. We ended going up with a different pest control company and these guys sent us to collections for $67.

I was not notified that any technician was at the house at the time of service. And I was home. I wanted to walk through and point out very specifically the areas that I needed treated. That is why I called for a reservice but I was not notified that anyone was there doing the service. I also went to the inside of my house treated but that did not happen. I was not notified that anyone was on their way and that would be very helpful in the future. Now I'll have to call for another resurface.

A sales associate soliciting convinced my husband to switch pest companies with promises of better service. That has not been the case as soon as we switched we had ant problems, mice, and our wasps were out of control. We never had problems with our previous company. When trying to cancel they refused to stop services. They have continued to come out and try and do services when we have repeatedly asked them to not come to our property. When trying to cancel they have refused unless we pay $200 to cancel services. I went back to my previous pest control to fix our pest problems and within a month of having my previous pest control we have not had any issues. We only had ridd treat for three months and they continue to harass us and come to our house when we have asked to please stop.

***Updating my review*** Quite possibly the worst customer service I have ever experienced! The first few interactions with Ridd were great. The service tech (John) was awesome, he listened to concerns and was very thorough. On my 3rd or 4th service they sent a reminder/scheduling text and although I texted back that I would like my inside serviced they never replied with a time. On the day of, I received a text that the tech had a medical emergency and they would come a different day. Understandable, but at this point I honestly didnt know when they were coming. About a week later a different tech shows up unannounced and from the time he stepped out of his truck until he was done was just under 10 minutes for the entire outside- eves, lights, flowerbeds, shed and garage. (I checked the time on my doorbell cam) I called and explained the situation and asked if John could come back and re-service the outside and do the inside. They said no problem and I thought "Great, all is right again!" No, not only did they not send John, they sent the same tech that came before. This time he rang the doorbell and told me he didn't appreciate me complaining about his work and how he was the best tech they had. He couldn't believe I would request John over him and that he is assigned triple the houses John is. To be honest, I was appalled and upset I had to have this exchange with this tech on my porch. It was completely unprofessional. I called RIDD that afternoon to complain and was told only my account manager could help me that she was unavailable and would call me back. She never did. Several weeks later we started having problems with ants, spiders, and wasps like we never have had before. I called again and was told the same thing, my account manager was unavailable but she would call me back as she was the only one who could authorize a re-service. Shocker... She never called. Fast forward to the next reminder of service text. I called again and let them know I would like to cancel the service. The guy on the phone said he could cancel the service for that day but only my account manger could cancel my contract and she was not available but would call me back. Which she never did. Which puts us to today when I received another text telling my my service tech was on his way to my house to perform service. I called back but this time insisted I stay on the line until I could speak with the account manager. When she finally came on the line, I explained the situation from the begining and suggested that she could remedy the situation by either refunding me for the last unsatisfactory service or preforming the next service at no charge. She insisted the service that had been provided was up to standard and denied any issues and completly rejected the idea that her service tech did anything wrong. I told her I have the entire exchange on the doorbell cam which she ignored. She just kept telling me the account could be canceled because I was outside of the contract period and there was nothing else she could do. I asked her if she had a supervisor and she stated "Not one that would talk to you!" Ha! I can understand mistakes happening and bad employees. What I can't understand is not standing behind your company and making things right when these things happen.

Our technician was great. No complaints regarding him. He was professional and courteous. The problem is the customer service. They stood us up twice! One girl was incredibly rude and when I called back, one of their sales guys was equally rude and defensive. Be cautious in hiring them, you may get stood up or treated very poorly. I do NOT recommend RIDD.
