Fairway Lawns of Charleston

If they had zero stars, I would choose zero Stars. I used their service for over 2 years and they could never figure out how to kill the weeds and or to help my grass grow. I canceled that contract and hired a different person, and he had my weeds gone on his first application. He also took a soil sample and found out the soil had zero nutrients that is why my grass was not growing and the weeds were thriving. Fairway Lawns did a horrible job and when I complained over four times they told me to "be patient, these things take time". The technician wasn't spraying the way he should either and I complained about that also. I would never, ever recommend them to anyone. Such a waste of money and time.

I’m awaiting the results, I should know within a week or so.

Very happy with the service I’ve received from Fairway. I was having major issues with my lawn and they definitely came through for me. In particular Joshua really did a fantastic job diagnosing some problem areas. We’ve addressed them and it’s transformed my lawn. Follow their recommendations and you’ll be alright.

Fairway Lawns saved our grass by properly diagnosing and treating the grubs that were destroying it. They don't just take your money every month like other lawncare companies; they always have suggestions and tips on how to improve the health of our lawn.

It was an awesone experience, Josh was very knowledgeable and helpful.

I used them for 6 plus years and was satisfied until the last time they came. I was told that they were spaying for a certain kind of weed. After my yard turned gold with many dead areas, I was told to give it 2 weeks and it should be fine . 3 weeks later they came back to look at the lawn and was told that if didn’t improve by next week to let them know. I had no response of the text I sent. In my unprofessional opinion I believe they mixed the chemicals wrong. They will no longer work for me.

Fairway Lawns destroyed my front lawn last summer. The technician admitted they used an uncorrect formula. To remedy their incompetence they haphazardly put down new sod on a 1/3 of the infected areas, Needless to say, it was so bad we completely re sodded this year and I local grass cutter applies weed and feed bought from Retail stores. I would recommend not using them or others large scale lawn care for wee/feed

Fairway Lawns is SO aggressive in recruiting new customers, calling me and texting me multiple times. They're continuing even after me telling them we don't have a lawn and therefore have no need for their services. Maybe this review will get their attention and they'll stop pestering me.

Fairway Lawns killed over 50% of my lawn in the middle of summer. I called them over and over and begged them to fix it. They did not follow through on their promises and sent the person who treated and killed my lawn back out to my house for a treatment. They have caused me undue stress and financial loss as I’m still trying to replace my lawn that was fully established before they decimated it. It is one of the worst service experiences I have EVER had. They can say anything to avoid taking responsibility. Proceed at your own risk.

I took better care of my yard than fairway lawns. Last straw… last service they burnt my lawn by over fertilizing. I did not pay for that last service as result. Tried reasoning with them, call after call with phone operators and no resolve. Would never recommend anyone to this company. Lawn is still not right.

Like so many others on here a bad review. Before hiring this company drive in pine forest to see the type of work they do I have to cancel their service and spend more money to fix my yard. I left their sign in my front yard so everyone knows who is responsible for my yard.

Hired Fairway in February to help get the lawn kick started for the spring. They came out a few times but did not give much recommendations on what I could do personally to help aid the yard. A few months go by and I start to realize that the grass is not coming in well at all. In fact, most of our yard began dying. I am certain that the products used were over applied and killed our grass as it is just around our property line and there is a clear distinction between our yard and the neighbors. Our yard now looks worse than ever, weeds everywhere, and I’ve been struggling to get it back to it once was. Pretty disappointed as I had high hopes for FairWay.

No one came out to evaluate our property to actually explain what services we needed. What was explained by the phone sales person was not done. The technician just walks right into the back yard through a privacy gate without knocking to let us know he was there to apply a treatment, but instead he just open our back door to let our dogs in. At no time was I informed of a time the technician would arrive. I was charged 123.5o for a quick 5 min spaying to kill weeds and insects. We explained to the sales person that we had mole crickets and poor soil conditions. Again no representative came to do an analysis of our property

I highly recommend Fairway Lawns in Charleston. Mark and his team do an outstanding job, and they're always willing to give advice along the way to help your lawn look its best. They're always so nice and helpful. Five gold stars! Update (9/26/23): I no longer stand by this review. Fairway was over-treating our lawn and continually burned our grass and stressed it out. Our centipede lawn was green and lush right before they came to treat our lawn, and every time they treated it it turned red. Like blood red. I brought this to their attention several times and they gave me 8 different reasons why it was happening, none of which were their fault, naturally. I also noticed this same exact thing happening to all our neighbors' lawns who were using Fairway. The lawns that were not treated by Fairway did not have this problem. We've since switched companies and we could not be happier. Our lawn has completely turned around, and it only took a few months with our current company.

I was paying an extra $25 for the additional Sq footage treatment, but they stopped treating that extra area(not sure how many treatments were skipped, but 2 were confirmed). When I confronted the manager about it, he was very nonchalant about it. After pressing the issue, he agreed to refund my last treatment. That was months ago and I still have not received my refund.
