We have used Barrier Pest Control for over a decade. Their prices are incredibly reasonable. Their staff, especially Ronald, is amazing. They always call ahead and are incredibly friendly. Ronald always asks if there are any issues, and frankly, he feels like a friend. We also have our termite bond with them. A+++ to Barrier Pest Control!

Terrific service

Prompt, knowledgeable, informative, polite, reasonably priced, thorough. Seriously great termite service, great techs, customer service, and management/ownership. That also translates from the proposal request, pre inspection and scheduling. Termites are a real issue in Charleston and good coverage is important.

Jason was great. He was prompt, professional, and very thorough. He explained what he found in layman's terms. I would use y'all again for sure!

Kudos to Barrier Pest Services in being able to quickly conduct a CL-100 on a property my husband and I are selling; however, where they lack is providing a thorough job. Being a SC realtor, I was shocked to find out that when finding damage present in the crawlspace from wood destroying fungi, that there were absolutely no photos presented with the report to provide us with enough information on a possible quote on how much it'd cost to remedy the damage. I understand no pictures are needed when there is a clear CL-100 report, but I've never heard of a company who did not take photographs of anything that is flagged as damage or fungi to back their findings. When my husband reached out about photos taken, they responded that they do not take a camera in the crawlspace... IN WHAT WORLD?! Even my home inspectors thought this was absurd. Because of the lack of a thorough job with Barrier Pest Services, my husband and I are out an extra ~$1,500.

Good value, timely, and deep expertise. Highly recommended I have worked with Trip for inspections and treatment of several homes through the past few years. He's an expert and willing to share his knowledge, and they do a thorough job inspecting and treating. They have been able to get to me quickly when were notified late that we needed an inspection for a refinance, excellent service. Finally, their services are a good value. I'm a happy repeat customer and would highly recommend to everyone.

Horrible experience. I paid by check on date of CL100 inspection and am now getting late notices even after talking to Trip and also sending emails with check number shown cashed by my bank. Now the mailbox is full do not do business with this company.

Horrible Service. We bought a home last year that had an existing termite bond with Barrier. They allowed us to take over the bond and pay $195/Yr. for the warranty. However, they never came out to inspect or check to see if termites were back, didn't have any Sentricon or any other treatment, so ultimately I had no way of knowing if or when we had active termites. We also tried to have them come out and sign a pest control contract, and after three attempts, no one ever called us back. We finally called another company and had them treat for pests. The final straw was that they sent us a letter this year to renew the termite bond again, but would never call us back to discuss. We ended up actually paying for a new bond with Terminex, which wasn't cheap but the did give us a really good deal. It was well worth it for the peace of mind. These guys only want your money.
