You never know what to expect when you have pests. But when you call experts like Trevor and his team they can tell you exactly what to expect. I had some yellow jackets by my front door. Didn’t seem like that many but after a week a couple turned into 20 or 30. So I called and they got out to me the next day!! Trevor did his thing and told me exactly what to expect in the coming 24-48 hours and explained exactly how the bees do what they do which was a huge piece of mind! I would absolutely recommend Houck!!

Dave and Trevor have worked on mice infestation, ground hog removal, ant control, and removal of a giant wasp nest on my property. Both men are very professional, knowledgeable, thorough, and good at explaining things. Fees are very reasonable. I’ve been using Houck Pest Control for several years. This week, Trevor found and closed off several exterior holes in the house siding and foundation that were not obvious to me. He also checked wiring in the attic, placed bait around the interior and exterior of the house, and came back 2 days later to check on everything. (I opted for bait over traps, but Houck can do both). Both Dave and Trevor are great to work with and I have a lot of confidence in their work.

Mr. Houck has been out a few times on short notice to take care of wasps nests. Always appreciate his reliability and reasonable pricing.

Great service, great price ! We had an ant problem. Contacted Trevor and he provided price and process and we approved ! The ants were quickly under control and no longer an issue ! They will be back for treatments this spring to prevent the ants from starting ! Highly recommend !

Contacted Houck Pest Control about a pest problem in our home. They were able to accommodate our schedule with ease. Trevor Houck was very punctual, very informative, and explained their procedures and products after reviewing the issue. Highly recommend this company.

“We won’t go to Harrisburg, we are so busy” was the response I received when I called to schedule a service.

Doesn't return phone call. Voicemail says will call back in an hour. It's been several days.

I reached out for a price quote on services and after a conversation on the phone, during which I explained the issue and what I needed to have done, I was asked to send pictures of the issue. I immediately sent the requested pictures and got a response asking for my address, so they could stop by and take a look, which I provided. No one ever stoped by, I was never provided a quote for the work discussed on the phone call. When I followed up I was met with confusion about who I was, and why I was reaching out. I explained and was told, that he could remove the animal, but I would need to find someone else to do the removal of the nest and remediation so the problem didn’t reoccur. I found this confusing since I had spoken on the phone to the office about the issue and was clear that I needed, not only animal removal, but also nest removal and remediation, which is fairly standard, and this was confirmed and agreed upon. I reiterated the question that their service is only animal removal and that they provide no nest removal or remediation services. This was confirmed. I am disappointed with the conflicting information, the unprofessional behavior, and what appears to be an unwillingness to provide previously agreed upon service. Update: This response does not reflect the conversations that we had and is not accurate. It does however reflect the exact lack of professionalism that led me to leave a 1 star review.

I have used Houck Pest Control for a year now. Last month when David Houck was at our house to spray and treat, we asked him to go upstairs and spray around the bedroom windows, since bugs seem to come in through the windows. He refused, stating that he does not spray in bedrooms (this was odd, since he had done it before). He was on and off of our property in less than 10 minutes of spraying, including both the inside and the outside. Leslie, his office manager, called us today to schedule our next treatment. When I advised her of what happened, she called us liars, stating David would never refuse to spray where a customer asked. When I told her that it indeed happened, she again denied what happened and stated that they were ending their business with us and told us to go somewhere else, hanging up the phone in anger. While their price is one of the lowest of the pest control servicers, the unprofessional behavior is intolerable. Clearly, customer service is not much of a priority for this company. We are now looking into a different servicer. Response: I am not sure to which customer Leslie is referring to in her response below, but it clearly was not us.

I called on the 23rd of May for a groundhog issue. He was on his way somewhere so he told me to text him my name, address and the issue I was having and he would call as soon as he got where he was going. It is now the 29th and I have yet to get a call back.

Well I can't really review yet because he didn't do nothing. He did come and look at my situation--bees in/on my garage. But he hasn't returned or called back yet--I will try 1 more time then I'm calling someone else.

Blew me off today and I can't use my front door because of the hornets...guess I'll call someone else!
