Triad Weed Free of Winston Salem

I've been with Triad Weed Free for roughly 7 years now. I'm attempting to cancel my service currently, but no one has answered the phone or returned my voicemails the past two days. When I started, they were great. Very personal, easy to get hold of. Lawn looked great and my mower could barely keep up. In 2020, TWF applied something that ended up killing stripes of our lawn, both in the front and back. They reseeded and aerated that year for free as it was their product that caused it. The lawn has never fully recovered from it. Then in 2021 we got a rash of army worms which completely torched our backyard and part of our front yard. TWF came out to confirm it and said others were having the same issue. They sprayed for the worms, and then we reseeded that fall. Similar to another review here, I asked for grub control, as I noticed lots of grubs in our pool and mole hills on the perimeter of our lawn. Our lawn rep at that time said he didn't see any evidence of it, but that he'd add it to our treatment schedule. From what I can tell, they only did grub control one time, and it was the next year. I've been meaning to cancel for a while, but just haven't due to forgetting. I hope they get back to how they used to be, but for now, we'll be switching to someone else.

This company is terrible, dishonest and leaves your lawn looking horrible. Do yourself a favor and choose a reputable company to take care of your lawn needs. I learned a valuable lesson having dealt with this money grubbing company , always email or text about your services because with Triad Leave the Weeds in your lawn the customer is always wrong. I decided to add to my review since the company posted a rebuttal. So let’s address my desperation over an invoice, which is a bizarre statement from this company. Gaslighting is real with this company, I believe the desperation comes from the billing department. I paid for a service that I requested to be stopped earlier in the year so my “desperation” seems reasonable to most people. Your google reviews do not look like your providing stellar service but I just meh is good enough for your company.

Stay far away from this company! They will never reply to your phone calls, emails, or text messages, no matter how many times you try to contact them about a problem. My mother cancelled service last year and then they just showed up randomly a year later and applied a treatment to her yard (no one was home at the time to stop them) and sent her an invoice. I have tried for days to reach them by all methods and they have completely ghosted me, will not respond or answer calls. Worst experience with any business I have ever had.

This service never returns calls or text messages, doesn't show up when they say they will, and treats their long time customers horribly with their lack of communication. My elderly mother (who doesn't use Gmail) finally cancelled after so much frustration. Their treatment of her has upset her so much.

These guys made my lawn beautiful. Then, a year later, they ruined it! One day, one of the employees came by and applied some kind of treatment. A few days later, multiple large burn spots appeared over all parts of the lawn. I called Logan and asked that he come over. He came and inspected the lawn. He then looked me in the eye and PROMISED he wd fix it. They came back a couple of times but when it came time this past fall for aeration and overseeing which is the only way to fix this kind of widespread damage, he ghosted me. Multiple phone calls and msgs were ignored and he hung up on me when I called his personal phone number. It took hundreds of dollars to get the lawn beautiful. I just wanted him to honor his word.

Triad did a great job the first few years. As the business grew, incompetence grew with it. I requested grub treatment for two consecutive years. After twice contacting the owner, in the same year, to remind him of the treatment, the grub application was never applied and our yard was riddled with grubs and dig holes from skunks. It’s been less than a year since we left Triad, June 29, 2023 to be exact. I chose to update this review because the previous commendation no longer applied.

They killed our grass by putting the wrong chemicals in their feeding. Then, in a feeble attempt to correct it, they put down a generous layer of grass seed over the top of mulch instead of topsoil. Not a blade of grass came up. They killed the neighbors grass the same way. Irresponsible, unfriendly and just about the worst excuse for a lawn care company in this area.

Do yourself a favor and find a different company. I have been chasing them for a price to landscape the other side of my house and backyard. I have been calling texting and emailing with little response. I have gave them numerous times to land the business. They did previous work and did a nice job. Too bad a year later they can't even show to get business that paid them promptly.

These guys get it! When you pull up on my street it is obvious which ones are using their service vs other companies. Would highly recommend! 6 Stars!

Driving on I-40 during working traffic today and one of your trucks is hauling a trailer with a giant load of unsecured branches that are falling off the trailer and blowing all over the interstate hitting cars, causing people to swerve all over. This is not a good advertisement for your business and is a hazard to drivers. Definitely an insurance nightmare. Please have your workers secure their load!

Last year(our first year service) was great. This year our yard is browning, have not had the fertilizer treatments that should have happened already. Weeds are not being pulled or sprayed and our pine needles look bare and need to be replaced. Cannot get a call back at all, have called several times. We pay in full and on time and have already paid 5 months into the year and have not received what we should have for the money that has been paid so far.

He was the company our HOA used for a year....he promised a lot of things that did not get done and when we did not renew contract with him he refused work for the last 1.5 months of his contract even though he was paid...so we paid for no services for 6 weeks and to me that was just wrong! Either do the work or give back the money.

I’d love to be able to give a full review and had high hopes for working with them. However, I followed up with Logan twice AFTER the date I was promised a quote. I never got a quote and he didn’t even bother responding to the second request. Very unprofessional in my opinion.

So impressed with the service we received from Triad Tree Company! We had them remove 7 dead trees in our back yard. They cut them down, removed all the debris, and ground out the stumps. They also pruned 6 Wax Myrtle trees in our front yard that were damaged from the recent ice storm. They were on time, fast, and efficient and did all this work for a fair price. So happy to have found this service! Will share with all our friends and neighbors. Highly recommended!!

I called and set up an appointment for 3 days later. Nobody ever called or showed up for the appointment. Very unprofessional and wouldn't recommend them.

First of all, I almost never take my time to leave public reviews but I’m so happy with Triad Weed Free service that I feel it must be shared! Being honest our yard was a mess when we moved into our house so after some research we were VERY LUCKY to find Triad Weed Free. Logan (the owner) is very professional and knowledgeable landscaper who is able to assist with pretty much all yard projects from very small jobs to huge projects that require use of specialized equipment. His advice and ideas are excellent and he was able to transform our ugly looking yard into a place we love! I’m happy to speak to anyone who has questions or wants to see pictures of his work but this is no doubt THE TOP landscaping business is Greensboro area!! Highly recommended!!

Triad weed free just recently started treating our grass and we are already seeing an improvement with weeds dying in our lawn. The crew is always prompt, courteous, and professional. I would definitely recommend Triad Weed Free for all of your yard maintenance needs!

I hired Triad Weed Free in early summer 2019 and things got off to a good start and my yard showed signs of improvement. Unfortunately, I did not receive a service call from late August through November which is the critical time to fertilizer fescue. They then showed up in December and January to apply a slow release fertilizer which is pointless, as fescue roots do not up-take any nutrients when soil temps are 45 degrees or below. Not only did my yard not receive the applications it needed at the appropriate time which will hinder it's progress in the spring but I was also charged close to $250 for two applications that will have no positive affect on my yard.
