Genuinely shocked at the number of positive reviews for this company. My builder initiated my termite bond for my Wilmington NC townhome with Canady in 2021 so I’ve been stuck with them for annual bond inspections. Not once has it gone smoothly. Billing in particular is screwed up. Every. Single. Year. I live in a two unit townhome on a single slab so it’s one bond. My neighbor and I split the cost of the bond therefore 50/50. Every year this causes rampant confusion at Canady. Usually I get the full bill despite Canady notating all over it that we’re two people with two addresses. I remind the tech every year and he pledges to tell the office. This year is a new level of incompetence as I got a physical bill for the full slab amount mailed to me (despite being assured this would be email/digital only), and Canady put in the actual printed address the text “**EMAIL ONLY**”. As if that’s part of my street address. So their billing department is now so illiterate they can’t even read their own reminders. So for a third year in a row I’ll have to waste 30+ minutes playing phone tag with billing (they never pick up) to 1) split the bill in half, 2) revert to email and their online portal, and 3) find a barely lucid employee to remind again that this is a two address site. Folks there are plenty of other providers in town, it’s not worth tethering yourself to this company for the duration of a termite bond. Now I anxiously await the corporate reply they’ll post here saying something akin to “we’re so sorry you had an experience not up to the level we hallucinate that we provide now that you’re bringing visibility to our ineptitude online.”

Hi Justin, I apologize for the inconvenience you have had and thank you for reaching out. I wanted to clarify that the termite bond we provide covers the entire building as a single structure. Because of this, the billing must remain under one account and cannot be split between multiple parties.<br><br>Unfortunately, our software does not allow us to divide the invoice or generate separate bills for individual units within the same structure. However, we do offer an online portal where each customer can create their own account and submit payment toward the total invoice amount. This can be a convenient way for multiple parties to contribute their share.<br><br>If you’d like assistance setting up your online portal account or have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I called to schedule an appointment to treat inside and outside of my home for fleas, roaches and spiders. The lady advised me on everything to expect and prepare for. After planning my entire week around this appointment, when the exterminator showed up, he was unaware what he was treating and didn’t have the proper equipment to service my home. I was told I would have to wait an entire week to reschedule so I wound up going with a different company that did a wonderful job.

Canada and Sons really let down my girlfriend and I down. We planned a whole day around them exterminating and when they arrived they told us "they had no idea what they were exterminating" we made sure to be thorough with the lady we talked to on the phone what we needed done. They did nothing to accomadate the inconvenience so we went with someone else who did a phenomenal job.

Most unprofessional company. Got a termite bond quote three months ago and they came out today to do the termite bond (waited 3 months) to be told that they cannot do it due to a french drain. The orignal gentlemen clearly has no idea how to quote a termite bond or no what a french drain looks like. Also was told that I had to take everything out of my garage. Well that wasnt the case either. Completely unprofessional company. Do not use. I dont write reviews but this had to be written- do not use this company

As a pest control company, we strive to ensure safe & effective solutions for our clients, and it is very important that there is nothing that would have an adverse effect on the environment such as French drains that could spill over into bodies of water. Unfortunately, the drains were discovered on the day of the treatment, which is what prevented us from being able to do the service. We do apologize for not recognizing it sooner and apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. We try to give the best service possible, however we are all human and make mistakes.<br>
Disappointing phone call with this company today. I had an exterminator come 8/5/22 at the cost of $125. I am still seeing an occasional live roach 3.5 weeks later. I was advised they could come back and spray again at 50% discount. No thank you. I will take my business elsewhere.

We had termites almost a year ago and asked the inspector if they were termites and he said no. Almost a year later our floor is covered in termites. They finally diagnosed them as termites and told us that it may take a month for them to come out and spray. In the meantime they are all over our bathroom floor and familyroom.
Can't drive pulls out on people on 74 76 and goes 20 miles an hour sniffing pills
Very poor communication... called three weeks ago to schedule a service, phone call was never returned. My husband called a week later to schedule the same service and no one showed for our appointment. None of the employees seem overly concerned in trying to rectify the situation, they must not need any new business. We will not be using Canady and Son!
