They did a great job on the install years ago but their annual membership for opening and closing a sprinkler is insanely expensive. The owner must be living very large. Money gets to people’s heads in Central Jersey. $175 to open a sprinkler system. Wow.

Stan was terrific!! He checked our system asked if we were interested in updating the heads on our sprinkler system and checked everything was working fine. He was very friendly and his partner was too. They explained everything to me and let me know we needed to update a part this year. They gave me a great price and fixed it and showed me everything they did. So happy with Ecosystems and the staff.

I've used them for many years to service my home, even bought new equipment worth of thousands of dollars, but they became very, very greedy year over year. I will no longer use them. Save your money and use a decent guy who can do the job for half the pay, which is still more than enough for the job performed.

I would not recommend Ecosystems to anyone. Had end of year closing of irrigation and the service guy didn’t even co to the door to let me know the sprinkler head came off, he just left it in the yard. Not professional at all. Very disappointed in this company. They became too big.

My personal experience was unsatisfactory. The technician who came to winterize my system was unable to do so because a repair was needed. A ‘troubleshooter’ would need to come, for an additional fee of $95 and assess the problem. My previous company had technicians who were knowledgeable with basic problems and able to conduct repairs without a ‘troubleshooter’ being involved. I no longer engage Ecosystems and instead have hired a more competent company.

So, I’ll start with my recommendation - don’t use Ecosystems. We used All-Wet for almost 25 years until they were bought out by Ecosystems, and it’s been downhill for us ever since. Trying to schedule maintenance or winterizing is a nightmare. Call and be on hold for 20 minutes, unless you get cut off. They will TELL YOU when they will arrive, hopefully that fits your schedule. One of our appointments was cancelled because the tech “had a family emergency”. And that same excuse was used a second time just last week! Sounds like “my dog ate my homework”. Another appointment was cancelled by Ecosystems as they said I didn’t reply to the text to confirm - they magically found a tech when I offered to send a screen shot of my confirmation. We had to schedule a master valve replacement - that took over a month. When the tech arrived, he started by cutting ALL the wires in the control box, not just the two for the valve. Then he spent two hours trying to fix the wiring, at one point trying to say that the system was obviously broken before he arrived. The automated system they use for communication is terrible. We got text messages informing us that our tech would arrive “soon”, despite the fact that the work had been done two hours earlier! And on and on …. Use anybody else.

The technician did not have the key to my sprinkler system, this has been a constant problem in the past, so much so, that there are notations in my file that state the need for the key. I was lucky the technician found a key in order to do the work. When I reported this issue, the answer I got was to purchase my own key. I should not have to purchase tools that the company should have on hand, I am already paying you for service, and that service should include being prepared with the proper tools. I am unsure if I will seek these services again, because we continue to have issues.

System never connected. Wanted $3500 to fix. Basically wanted to put in whole new system. When a few wires th at hat been chewed by animals would have corrected the problem. Totally inflexible and we will not use again. We we without the system all summer.

My technician was fine. No complaints. I am Wondering if you train your techs to “find” something wrong with each client they come out to see. If they get 5 repairs out of 10 visits I assume that’s a good day for your company. $$$ It seems like to me every time you have a tech. come to my house there is ALWAYS a problem. Not a $100.00 problem more like over $200.00 problems. With that being said, I will be looking for another sprinkler company. It’s sad since I’ve been a client of your for many years:

Company told us they’d be there between 7:30 am and 12 noon. At 1:15 pm after not hearing anything, I called the company and was told there were only 2 more clients ahead of me. Guy didn’t show up until 2:15 pm. Totally unacceptable to have not gotten a text or call that they would be very late. No one should have to be around for 6 1/2 hours. On the last visit, technician cancelled the day of the visit.

If I could give this company 0 stars I would. Worst customer service and employees I have ever dealt with. Stick with small privately owned sprinkler companies. This company has so many departments, employees, and managers and you end up dealing with 10 different people. It started with the salesman John who came to my house in March and sold me a sprinkler system and told me install would be a couple of weeks. He knew that it was important for me to get it done right away so he said whatever he had to do to get the sale. After a few weeks I call the scheduling department and spoke to Jayme who was very rude and told me John shouldn’t have told me a couple of weeks because they aren’t even scheduling for the season yet. I called back every week and just kept getting pushed up. After a month and a half I called customer service and requested to speak to a manager. I was told a manager would call me but every time it was Jayme from scheduling that would call me back and blow me off. I called everyday for a manger and could not get anyone. Eventually after almost two months I demanded Jayme put me in touch with a manager and she had Gregg call me. He was a bigger screw up than John and Jayme. They give me one date to choose from for my install and tell me I have to be home. People work. I fought with Gregg for another date and after going back and forth he finally comes out to do the mark outs and tells me that they will be out in a Saturday to do the install and as long as I leave my garage open and they can access the panel, I do not need to be home. Gregg said he would be out the Monday after the install to show me how to work the system. The crew comes out on Saturday and does the install. I wait all day Monday for Gregg to come out and he never shows. I get in touch with my salesman John who tells me that Gregg will be out later in the week and that the crew could not finish the install because I never left my garage open. I was furious and had John get me in touch with Greggs boss, Heather. I provided Heather with ring camera footage showing the crew going in and out of my garage as well as lounging on the ground of my driveway, yet they could not finish the install. Heather seemed understanding at first and told me she would be having Gregg come out to finish the next day. Gregg comes out and is shocked to see that the panel was actually installed by his crew on Saturday. He told me “I need to start speaking Spanish better.” I asked him why he didn’t show up on Monday and he didn’t call and he said he screwed up. I spoke to Heather again and requested a discount for all the inconveniences and she advised me that she would be having a team meeting on 5/19/25 and would be in touch with me after. Today is Friday 5/23/25 and still no Heather. I have never experienced service like this in my life.

Unfortunately their products just don't seem to work. Not sure if the people applying them just don't know what they're doing or if they just use cheap stuff. This year I had to email/text them with issues over 10 times regarding fertilizer, sprinkler, and mosquito service. My lawn in the front and back is near ruined. Our dogs do their business in one small section near the deck stairs which is obvious so please don't blame that on them. The rest is all them. Our lawn was thriving last year. Green as can be. Had sod put down in many places the year before that. Unfortunately crab grass and dead spots are what's thriving right now even though they said they'll spray extra crab grass killer multiple times. They blamed the heat and humidity while my neighbors with no sprinklers or fertilizer/lawn care companies look significantly better than mine. They said maybe it's a fungus and spray some "complimentary fungicide". Nope. Then they tried blaming my sprinkler coverage setup in the back and would fix it for the low price of $1,000. It covers just fine considering the problems are happening in the front too. In the end they tried offering me 50% off of an aeration and overseed. I absolutely hate that it came to me having to write about my experience, but I tried working something out with Ecosystems but they just refused to remedy the situation. Their mosquito spray wasn’t as effective this year for some reason. Stark difference between the previous year. Possibly due to the random bouts of rain and the timing with the sprays? I can give them the benefit of the doubt on that but I’m make the point known that we didn’t get bit but a couple times last year with them and this year it’s been worse.
