Rico stopped by this morning and gave my lawn a final fall application. He opted for granular over spray due to recent aeration - appreciate the customizing for best results. All set here for next year - and as always, hoping for a shorter winter.

My first year with Fertilawn (actually with any lawn service). Not cheap though I’m not sure what costs run generally for these services; I tried to follow recommendations regarding water and leaving grass longer and cutting less though helped by a rainy summer. My yard was a mess and I think my expectations were reasonably modest as a result for this first year but I’m very happy with how things are looking in the fall. I can easily see the very significant improvement, what I was hoping for and more than I was expecting. Thanks Fertilawn!

I didn't have any time to visit with Garrett, but that's maybe okay because, according to his profile, we would have had about 50 different topics to cover and it would have really messed up our schedules! He is polite, professional, and he volunteered some ideas work around issues to attempt 100% coverage in the face of some landscape obstacles. Things that I would have been okay with ignoring, but it was clear to me that he wanted to deliver the absolute BEST care and customer service. Again, if I ever run into Garrett again, I'm afraid we'll have a bunch of chatting to do, and not just about his background and credentialed expertise in his field!

Garret performed aeration and overseeing. He was very knowledgeable; gave detailed answers to all our questions regarding watering, type of seed, diseases, etc.

Garrett is a knowledgeable and friendly technician. The mosquito treatments to the yard work! I can count on one hand the number of mosquitos I've seen in my backyard this summer.

Rico is great and always takes his time on our lawn, which we appreciate because a lot of other companies rush through spraying lawns and are only there for a couple of minutes. Highly recommend Rico and Fertilawn.

Dave-<br>My name is Garrett, one of the owners, and I spoke with you this morning. I’m sorry you felt like my customer service needed work. Your reason for canceling (us not responding to your online portal question) is a hard one to swallow. When a customer does anything on our customer portal such as sign up for service, register for the portal, or in your case ask us a question regarding services, we receive a notification in our software to respond. As I explained on phone I DID see the notification that you signed up for the online portal on 5/31 but there was nothing in regards to the question you had asked so we would have had no idea you had any questions.<br><br>Whether this was an error from our software or on your part, I am sorry. We do take A LOT of pride in our customer service and the fact that we are able to, in most cases, answer the phone when customers call. As well as respond the same day when customers email or ask questions through our portal.
Won't provide any service unless it's a full year of service.

Ryan does a great job on our yard. He is very conscious of problem areas and notices areas that need care. He is observant of newly seeded areas and avoids them with applications. We have been with Fertilawn for about 20 years or longer and will continue to have them service our lawn. Thank you Ryan for another great season!!

Maurice, It looks like you possibly applied for a position with our company a few years back. Could you give us a call at our office, 9528847331, and let us know if there was something we did wrong?
Not a customer facing organization. If I could put 0 I would - terrible service, incompetent, buyer be warn - they will do something incorrect, won't own and and will not fix it. They will not come out and work with you face to face even when they were in the wrong. They would rather sit at their computer and send you multiple emails. I feel sorry for them when so many small business do the right thing for there customer and they would rather write a rant. Sad.

Penny, as the owner, it is my sometimes my job to speak with customers about their concerns. Our “conversation” was more-so you screaming at me and belittling myself and our company, not allowing myself to explain exactly what happened. You signed up and received a confirmation email. You also received and email we had recently sent out regarding seeding and explicitly letting our customers know to inform us about any seeding they are doing/plan on doing. Even though our technicians KNOW to stay away from seeded areas, we always want to be informed. Your technician, Latroy, has been with us for over 12 years, he knows darn sure not to apply pre-emergent to seeded areas. However, after your treatment, you decided to call, and “speak” with James. There was little speaking on James part (as I was in the other room and could hear). You proceeded to belittle him, call us idiots, DEMAND we refund your whole prepayment (which we did, including that service), as well as DEMAND we pay for the over $400 you spent on seed and erosion control otherwise you would “send us to small claims court”. I could tell James was flustered but he kept his cool and explained he would talk to Latroy and see what he did/did not treat. Once James spoke with Latroy, it was blatantly obvious to him that you had seeded/many areas throughout the lawn and put some type of erosion/seed cover. Of which he DID stay away from..<br><br>At this point I intervened and called you. Your blatant disrespect for our company was apparent, you would not listen to a thing I said or listen when I explained about our tech staying away from the seeded areas. All it was was screaming and name-calling. Even though I explained we sent an email about customers letting us know about seeding, your response was “I don’t have time to read all of your emails”. Penny, most of our techs have been with us for over 10 years. They know to stay away when they see seed, however many times customers decide to “overseed” their entire lawn, which is near impossible for our guys to see in an existing lawn. This is precisely why we always tell our customers to let us know if they seeded.<br><br>We want our customers to have a good experience, which is why we pride ourselves on customer communication, whether that’s through email or phone calls. As a service company, we make mistakes, and we also own up to them. Nobody is perfect. But when a customer blames us for something that never happened, belittles us, calls us names, threatens us, and does not listen to anything we say, that is unacceptable. I prepaid for service in February and I have not seen or heard from them. I’m getting a refund! They should have been out weeks ago.

During our phone conversation, you gave us some valuable input on how to keep our customers in the loop during spring and we appreciate that. Hopefully we are able to turn your review into a 5 star one by seasons end!
I am a tenant - these guys showed up without MY permission or notice from a landlord and sprayed pesticide all over three bags worth of new grass seed we put down the night before, killing the seed before it had a chance to germinate. So much for their claims of "customized lawn analysis." Apparently, their "analysis" missed huge bare patches of dirt covered in new grass seed visible with a naked eye. Didn't even stop and think about whether spraying pesticide on new grass seed is a good idea; didn't even knock on the door and ask if it is ok to come onto the property. Will not return phone calls. Just awful.

Nadia, while this review is fairly old, I'm sorry for the issue at you're property. Typically, we will not notify tenants unless asked to by our customer (in your case is sounds like the landlord). We do everything in our power to stay off of newly seeded area, however we do let our customers know to call us if they have seeded as it can be very difficult to spot and we pride ourselves on doing a thorough job. Sorry for the inconvenience this may have caused.
