Steven came out to our house in Stevensville MD on Dec 28th and was an excellent professional who took the time to thoroughly examine our concerns and provided on the spot solutions so that our issues were resolved while he was there. He took the time to provide outstanding service to us from the beginning to the end of our service appointment! We are very satisfied with Phenom Pest Protection as a result. They charged my account without my authorization.
Service was great at the beginning and they would call to let me know when they were coming out for $39 a month. The second half of The year however was terrible. I never once received a call and there was almost no sign the came other than my ring door bell and truck pulling up for a couple minutes once. I stopped getting billed in April and was happy that my subscription ran out and then just got a bill for $160 stating that they needed to charge me for May June July and august. There were not traces of them even showing up in that time. I am furious. Again at the beginning it was great but towards the second half we didn’t get any customer service and bugs started showing up.
They were taken over by a new company said they had the same contract, but that is absolutely false. They also don’t care when you call the office.
The company didn’t want to take care of a hornet nest that I have on the second floor outside of my home. The company is saying they can’t do the job because they don’t have a 24 feet ladder. I would never hire this company if I knew that upfront. I’ll not recommend this company to anyone.
Today, Now only did I have one technician but I had two. These two were so nice to converse with. There professionalism was just out standing. I would love have them to service my home again.
Please save your money! Other than collecting money for the quarterly billing, the company has no knowledge in exterminating anything. They don’t even have the right equipment to tackle any pest issues. Maybe as preventative but if you have pest issues get the well known company in the area! At 2 instances, phenom was unable to get ride of bats nest in my dryer outlet. Recently, they were not able to take care of Wasp nest. The technician and the company have a big limitations when true pest issue rises. Just do not waste your money like I did over years! Also their Mousquito program does not work.
I am not happy with Phenom Pest control. They charged me $149.99 for initial service fee for Pest Bundle and charged me again $349.99 for Termite service and every month they are charging me $84.98 per month for Pest advantage service more than their advertised price of $74.99 on their website.
We have had Phenom since we moved into our house for six years. When we began, we had Heather as our technician who was wonderful going above and beyond. After she left, we had a couple others that has taken care of our ant and rodent issues, keeping them outside. Now we have Rolando is wonderful, goes out of his way to make sure our bate boxes are full outside so no mice gets in the house. We always request Rolando because he makes sure everything is done correctly. I always make sure after our service, I will call the company to have him recognized. I have had some issues with the newer secretaries months ago being rude on the phone. Geneva is wonderful to speak to and goes above and beyond to meet your customer service needs.
Our tech was nice and very professional. I got a text to say he was on his way, which gave ne time to make sure my dog was in. He did a great job. I highly recommend him.
I was able to schedule the appointment online and then a representative quickly texted me to confirm the time/date. The technician arrived right on time and quick and informative. Their customer portal is easily accessible and you can see your scheduled appointments and pay directly from there too! A great company with a seamless customer experience!
I have been a client of Phenom for over a year. In the past, there service and prices were to be commended. They have always been very responsive and professional. Recently, I noticed a mouse in our house and I placed a service call. I was given a date and told that the technician would call when they were on their way. I wasn’t given a time frame or time and thought that to be very strange as both my wife and I work full time jobs. My wife works 10 mins from the house and said she would come by when the technician called and said they were on their way. I had a missed call at 2 pm that I thought was spam so I didn’t answer the call. No message was left. So I had no reason to believe it was the technician calling. At 5 pm, the office is calling me stating the technician is at my house and no one is answering. I advised that no one is home as I was working and my wife left the house because we had not gotten a phone call and figured no technician was coming this late in the day. The representative was very rude and began telling me that the technician definitely called me and it made no sense that he would have called me at 2 pm and show up at 5pm. She was very defensive and making this issue my fault. I explained that my wife and I work full time jobs and you can’t expect us to miss a day of work to wait around all day for a service call. She informed me that they changed the way they do service calls and this is their new way, no appointment times or time frames, just a call when the technician is on their way. She was so rude that I ended the call and figured it would be better to call the office the following day and speak with another representative to resolve this issue. The follow up call was not any better and the representative was not receptive and spoke as if this was my fault. She again took up for her coworkers and said that my service call had been rescheduled in two weeks. I told her that was unacceptable and she said that was the first available. I canceled my contact, I will not tolerate rude and bad customer service when I and paying for a product. No follow up call or email so evidently Phenom Pest control doesn’t need my business and they are happy with their new business model.
Their technicians are always kind and informative. The office is easy to deal with. They always keep you reminded of your scheduled time. They will also come out in between visits should you have a issue arise. We like them alot. See no reason to ever switch companies
Phenom is great! Our tech Millan came out and was so thorough and answered all of my questions. I hope she’s our tech from now on! The product is great, I’m glad it doesn’t have a negative environmental impact as I live near the water, and I’m glad it’s safe to use around my dog. A+ service! I feel good about my investment in the yearly subscription.
Very professional and easy to work with! Great communication overall. The technicians who have treated our property have been friendly, polite, knowledgeable, and helpful. The treatment they've been applying seems to be effective so far. The billing has been accurate. And it has always been easy to reach someone at the company about a question or for other help. Highly recommend!
The technician was so nice and also incredibly thorough! He asked what specific problems I’m treating for (roaches, yuck) and made sure to apply the products in a way that will be most effective to treat them. He also provided sticky traps and instructions for follow up applications and was just plain amazing in general. 10/10 would recommend this technician, although all of them have been really great so far.
The sales person got me to sign a one year contract for full service outside treatment for spiders, ants, other crawling bugs. The ants continue to enter my house even after several calls to come back and treat again. I canceled the contract because of the ants not being able to be exterminated around my property. They charged me $200 to cancel. I don’t think that’s fair because they didn’t do their job. Be ware of the fast talking salesman.

Robert i am sorry to hear about the continued ant activity. Contrary to popular belief complete removal of insect activity can require a different application schedule based on multiple variables. Unfortunately every home and property is not the same and we rely on the home owner feedback to help address each home appropriately. That typically means several treatments within a month. That's why we offer unlimited free treatments as needed and requested. Knowing that reducing ant activity is a process is also why we ask all of our customers to give us a four season treatment commitment initially so that we can have ample opportunity to achieve the long-term removal of insect activity. After those four treatments if we have not done our job then there was no obligation for our customers to maintain our services. But more times then not, through communication with our new customers we are able to provide that solution.
From the moment I knew the company Phenom, I liked it! Both the sales rep and tech were very professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and understanding-exactly what you are looking for in any service company. All my questions were answered and I felt completely comfortable switching my pest control company. I’m excited for a more natural option that is effective in treating the pests but what puts my mind more at ease is I know I’m receiving excellent service. Love working with a small business! Phenom Pest Service is a very customer friendly business. They are easy to work with to schedule and reschedule appointments so I can be home if need be to do the inside of my home. Making additional requests or areas for them to address is never a problem, their technicians work to address all your homes insecticide needs. I would strongly recommend this company. I have had bad experiences with other insecticide companies.
They scammed me. I got into a contract with them. They say that they will spray for mosquito and called it pest control in the contract. I wrote in the contract Spray good for mosquito around the home and pool and back patio. Spray for ants and spiders. When I called to complain about the mosquitoes eating me alive in my patio they said that I had purchased the pest protection and not the mosquito spray. They tried to get me to pay double what i was paying to get what I actually wanted. They are scammers. I would never recommend them
Salesman of this company cheated me by saying theres no contract and he made me sign a contract for one year in his ipad and I just signed trusting him later contract was emailed which had 1 year contract which cannot be cancelled. I called their office requesting cancellation but they refused to cancel the service or pay $150 cancellation charges. These people try to cheat to get contracts so be careful if they approach the neighborhood.
This business is a total sham! A guy shows up at my door, says he will give a discount if I book service with him today since they are already here, treating my neighbors home/ yard. Tells me it 75 bucks, no other commitments...the very next month I receive a bill for 38.99. I call the office to tell them there is a mistake, but am told I signed a year long contract!! AND, they only service my residence every 3 months...so I am paying every month for sevice every 3???I of course did not sign up for this. Totally deceptive business practices. Also the office told me I would be charged 175 cancelation fee. I can not even believe these people. These guys clearly took advantage.I am sorry I ever answered the door.

Amanda, I assure you our business is not a "sham". It is standard within the pest control industry to treat customer's homes every 3 months as the products are not designed to last much longer and different seasons call for different treatment strategies. For several years we charged on a quarterly schedule after each treatment. In your case that would mean $38.99 x 3 = $116.97 per treatment. However, after countless requests from our customers, we decided last year to break up that quarterly payment into a monthly payment schedule to allow easier budgeting capabilities and to make it more affordable for everyone.<br><br>Yes you did receive a significant discount ($175) on your first treatment as a promotion that was being offered at the time. We have documention with your signature and initials indicating that you were explained that in order to provide a long term solution to your pest activity, it would require 3 additional treatments over 12 months with a warranty allowing you to have UNLIMITED visits as needed/requested at no additional cost and that your payment schedule was set up on a monthly basis.<br><br>You also received an email showing you a copy of your signature and initials and a calendar with each month and $38.99 written out in each month's box in the middle of the agreement. Not even in small print or hidden in a paragraph. The calendar has it's own section making sure it is in plain sight.<br><br>We would be more than happy to email you a copy of this agreement that you signed again.<br><br>If you did not read through the short agreement, can no longer afford it, or just would no longer like the service then we can definitely work something out.<br><br>Being a local business, if this was a "sham" we would quickly go out of business and my wife and kids would lose everything and I PROMISE YOU they and our integrity are more important to me than $75 or $38.99 a month.
Ended up buying my own pest control and spraying it my self after they came and visited twice in a month for the same issue. I had sugar ants make their way in my house and a large amount of spiders around the outside entry ways. Spent $50 at ace hardware and spent about 1.5 hours spraying after paying them the initial $85 I think it was for the first spray and now $35 a month for a whole year all for nothing. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY. Do it yourself and save the headache and money. (Edit) the employees are always polite and seem to work hard, but the products they use seem to do absolutely nothing for pests.

I'm not sure if you were made aware of or not, but after your first visit, it is actually anticipated that you will have an increase in activity. As the product also acts as an irritant and flushes the insects out of their previous nesting locations. This will cause you to see more. Now obviously every home and property is different and some homes require more attention than others. Especially in the beginning. Just like weeds, bugs don't always go away on the first attempt to remove them and without a consistent treatment, they will just come back.<br><br>This is also why we provide your with a warranty allowing you to have unlimited treatments as needed/requested in provided an expedited process in results for you. Even if it means is coming out to your home once a week. All you have to do is let's us know. Again, I apologize for the level of results, but I do know that our products not only work, but are also safe.<br><br>We hope you can give us one more chance to prove this to you by offering a free treatment. No stars for Phenom. We hired Phenom Pest to treat around our home. They came out a few times and treated for ants and bugs, but the ants, spiders and bugs keep coming back! We called them several times and they re-treated but one week later the bugs are back again. It's very frustrating to keep calling, and it's even more aggravating to see bugs in the house when we have been paying for a service for months. When my husband called to cancel the service the receptionist asked why, and my husband explained what was happening. She said, "You dont have to be nasty about it" when instead she should have been apologetic. Bad service all the way around. We are still waiting on a manager to call us back. We are on week two of waiting....Stay away!
My wife was pressured into services and a contract that we did not need from a door to door salesman. When we called to cancel we where told ok there would be no charges because we canceled before the time limit. 3 months later they show up at my house I tell the guy we canceled the services he says we're under contract and getting billed anyway because our card is on file. So I call the office they say we never canceled and it would be a 199$ termination fee to do so. Do not use this company deceptive business practices and pushy sales people.
I was told they’d come back in 30 days to make sure it was working, but instead they waited three months (around Christmas) to say that it was time for the next treatment. I kept pushing the appointment because of the holidays and then they said I wasn’t allowing them to treat and are trying to charge me a fee! And WE STILL HAVE SPIDER CRICKETS. My advice? Go with someone else.
