General Pest Environmental Solutions

This company services the townhouses in our area and I had a very unpleasant experience with them. A few weeks ago I had put in a maintenance request for pest control with earwigs entering our home. I explicitly stated that maintenance couldn't enter without our permission and they needed to call first. Neither of those things took place and the general pest employee entered my home without my consent. I was not fully dressed and my 8 month old baby was woken up from their nap after I spent quite a bit of effort putting them down. He proceeded to being a cannister in and I asked if that was safe for my baby and pets. He told me I would need to stand outside and given the space he would need to spray, I would need to leave for 3 hours. It was nearly 100 degrees that day as well. I told him he would need to come back as I was given zero notice on a multi-hour displacement from my home. I had found out that you cannot spray indoors if an infant under 1 lives there so had this experience not been wildly inconvenient, he could have potentially caused an accidental pesticide ingestion with my baby. I have discussed this issue with my leasing office and they have made several attempts to reach out to this company with no response. I have a reasonable right to privacy in my home which was violated and the employee was unapologetic, stating it wasn't his fault he entered unannounced nor that he woke up my baby. He was rude, incompetent as he didn't know he could've poisoned my child, and didn't seem to grasp that he unlawfully entered my home. If this company also uses a particular chemical in their pesticides, it also could have been fatal to my cat despite the employee stating my pets would be fine if they were caged. Thankfully the other employee we dealt with was very knowledgeable and polite but this was an incredibly unsettling experience overall.

Chris came out twice and was super professional and made sure to thoroughly spray everything and check the whole place.

Had a pest issue…big on the HAD! With children it is always so hard to deal with…very thankful to Cris who came out and treated our home! Professionalism was outstanding, his knowledge of the issue my husband and I were facing helped us gain insight on the situation. Finally able to sleep comfortably in our home again! 10/10 highly recommend!

Aric and his team are very quick to respond and review the issues at hand. He came up with some Feasible solutions to remove the birds we had nesting in our vents and addressed all other openings in our home. He resolved our issue very quickly! Would highly recommend General Pest!

We have had on and off cockroach problems at the apartment complex here in Wheeling. Exterminators came in with questionably safe and definitely not effective treatments. Recently, we were serviced by General Pest Environmental Solutions and they are fantastic. Super effective, very precise and we are seeing such great results. Also, the service people are so nice. I told Chris, today, that his company is the “Tom Cruise” of exterminators! And I’m right!

Very unprofessional staff, I request them to have shoe cover and I offer to provide them when they said they don't have covers, Staff got angry and started abusive language, This was on 2 visits with 3 staff members, Then I started receiving the mail on the apartment door about their next visit but they didn't show on 3 times in a month ,I have strong feeling that they are not visiting but charging to the rental office.
