Great folks. With them a few years for core aeration. They noted they would come in April or May when I pre-scheduled and paid for service. They came as promised and did a great job!!!

Technician very sloppy after being told to be careful sprayed lamppost and mail box posts as well as brick pavers. This is a reoccurring problem and has been reported to management. Since it is always a different tech issue is never resolved. Also they are constantly trying to up sell their services

These people are the nastiest people I’ve ever dealt with in my entire life. They claim to come out and do your whole yard when my backyard was locked up with a 6 foot cedar fence and two Dobermans outside, but yet the man claims he sprayed the backyard. Did he do it by Covering over the top the owners are the nastiest people I’ve ever dealt with in my entire life harassment on phone calls claiming the man did come back when he never did. If I were you I would definitely definitely not use this service. Nasty nasty unprofessional people. After writing review, I get five phone calls in a row, threatening me. See you in court going to collections all because they didn’t do the job they were supposed to do and they lied about doing my backyard Either they desperately need money… I would highly recommend not using this service. Just read the reviews because they are very true. The bad ones are very true. They just said it for me.‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️

On October 10, 2024, our technician applied fertilizer and weed control to both the front and back yards. He also observed some yellowing and recommended watering and aeration. During the follow-up visit on November 19, 2024, he again treated the entire property, noted violets and creeping Charlie, and documented that he “blanket sprayed the entire property,” including the backyard.<br><br>A few days before that second visit, you let us know that the gate was locked and that you didn’t think the backyard had been treated. In response, our team attempted to reach out to clarify the situation and ensure your service was completed properly.<br><br>We also want to be transparent: we have not received a single payment for any of the services provided, which is why our team continued to follow up. We understand that repeated phone calls can be frustrating, but please know they were not made to harass — they were simply attempts to resolve both the service and the outstanding balance.<br><br>It's upsetting to hear that this led you to see us as “nasty” or unprofessional. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE! UPDATE March 12, 2025: After 202 days, FIVE acknowledgements from Greener Living that a refund was owed to me, and my efforts attempting to resolve this issue via City of Chicago, BBB, and Illinois State Attorney's office, I have finally received a check. In the end, my claim with the State Attorney's office was the only thing that worked. My direct requests and complaints to the City of Chicago and BBB all failed, despite Greener Living acknowledging a refund was owed. Every acknowledgement included some excuse about "internal processing issues" and a veiled attempt to pretend they had no idea this was an issue. Here is the timeline of those acknowledgements: The original refund acknowledgement was from Brian on August 23, 2024. The second refund acknowledgement was from Brian on September 3, 2024. The third refund acknowledgement was from Caymen on September 13, 2024. The fourth refund acknowledgement was from unattributed representative via BBB complaint on December 9, 2024. The fifth refund acknowledgement was from Caymen via Illinois State Attorney's office on February 27, 2025. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE! ------------- ORIGINAL September 12, 2024 Don’t waste your time and money on Greener Living. I had been a fairly happy Greener Living customer for just over two years. Early on there were issues - they were annoying but manageable. Over time, the frequency and intensity of the issues became unbearable. The Greener Living technicians and management failed to provide the “professional” part of a “paid professional service.” I began documenting and itemizing the issues. Here is what I saw: 1) Technicians failing to read gate codes from my account "notes" resulting in skipped/delayed services 2) Technicians not adequately using enough product on service 3) Technicians damaging sprinkler heads - two years in a row - with the aerator, despite me having flagged them with bright yellow flags 4) Too many pushy "sales" phone calls 5) Technicians using the wrong products and staining my property For all of these issues, I had to reach out and insist that some resolution be provided - it was not the default response. I eventually started communicating directly with Brian Mason (Owner & General Manager per his email signature). I gave them a couple opportunities to make it right and they failed. I eventually asked for a refund. Brian sent an email saying the refund would be processed and sent his apologies. The trouble is, at the time of writing this, it has been 19 days since “processing” that refund and despite attempting to contact them twice since then there has been no refund. Stay away from Greener Living - they don’t care about you, your property, or your business. They just want your money.

Stay away from Greener Living! My lawned died this summer due to neglect!! And they refuse to do anything about it. These photos are the after photos from their so called service. Do not waste your time. Greener living did not arrange for a visit to my property mid-summer when I reported that my backyard was not looking its best. There were lots of brown patches and weeds were starting to appear. I was told to water and keep my lawn cut high. No improvements. Called again. Was told to just see how the August treatment goes and that things should improve. Things did not get better. Called again Aug 16. It took a few days for someone to even call me back and while I was dealing with a dying yard, I received 2 sales calls for added services. Now it’s October and no one has been out to visit my property, and in the meantime, my backyard died and requires new sod. Terrible customer service. They clearly don’t care about their customers.

Greener Living convinced me a few years ago to try a fungicidal treatment on a spruce tree to stop needle-cast. What I wasn’t told was that they regarded this service as a “recurring service”. Each time they provided a treatment, I thought it was because I had specifically requested it. After 2 years it seemed the treatment wasn’t effective, so I did not request another treatment. However, they showed up unannounced, treated the tree again, and have been harassing me for over two years now for payment. They refuse to accept responsibility for misrepresenting this treatment as a disease-specific treatment, when they fully intended it to be an ongoing recurring service.

Update: 39 days and no refund - Warning to current and future customers. Stay away from Greener Living! As posted in a previous review, Greener Living performed sub-standard service and damaged my property. I eventually asked for a refund and was told I would receive it. We're now 39 days since that initial confirmation that it was "processed" and still no refund. Caymen ("President and Owner") even responded to my previous review confirming yet again that the refund was "processed" and it could "take two weeks." We're now past two weeks since that date and still no refund. Brian and Caymen are refusing to respond to emails. The original refund acknowledgement was from Brian on August 23 - that is 39 days ago. The second refund acknowledgement was from Brian on September 3 - that is 28 days ago. The third refund acknowledgement was from Caymen on September 13 - that is 18 days ago. We are well past a, ridiculously generous, two-week window for a credit card refund to arrive. Let this serve as a warning if you are considering doing business with Greener Living - look elsewhere. They do not care about your property or your business.

Save the aggravation and hire a different company. The communication from this company is so poor. They had multiple techs come out the same week to apply fertilizer. Then I received an email that my service was cancelled. Now multiple people are calling me because apparently no one talks to each other. Seems poorly organized/managed.

Have had a series of of treatments where my landscaping has been damaged, I have spoken the technicians on site, they photographed the damage, relayed to "management" and no follow up. I have to call in myself and then be treated terribly blow different levels of management. All the damage is 100% not their responsibility and they have every excuse and reason in the world claiming as such (reflect of the grill, it is not w fungus, we do not use pesticides that can damage trees, not overspray possible). They come out with no notice, just show up and do not live any report of service and receipt (they used to). Proceed with caution as they will just claim aliens next.

I hired them on a one time aeration in fall of 2021. Never solicited for their business after that. Customer rep calls saying I owe them money for an aeration done on 11/29/2022…. I hired a different landscaping company to complete a fall clean up and aeration on 11/11/2022 so this service was never solicited and definitely not needed. I was told that if you ever hire them for a ONE time service they automatically preform that service every year whether solicited or not! What a scam, considering the rep stated they aerated my entire lawn when the company that I hired only aerated my front and side yard due to my dogs, shows that their rep saw my lawn already had the plugs still showing from the service I actually hired on 11/11 and just stuck his little flag in my yard and charged me for this service.

This business in unreliable and untrustworthy. They fertilized our neighbor’s lawn instead of ours, not once, not twice but three times. Each instance my neighbor called and complained to them but they did not remedy the situation. 2nd time she told me and I called and complained but they again fertilized my neighbor’s lawn a third time. When I called again they tried blaming google map for taking them to wrong location but our homes are clearly marked with our addresses. That’s not an excuse for their incompetence. They refused to give me credit as I purchased the full years plan instead they offered me credit on future service but there is no way I can stay with them. Buyer be aware!

Full 2021 service did little to nothing to control the weeds so I cancelled my service at the end of the season. Spring 2022 they showed up to do some treatment while I was at work and billed me. I called to reiterate that I had no interest in continuing their services and was told the bill would be voided. Weeks later I received a second bill for the same appointment. Again I called and was assured I did not owe anything and they would take care of the "glitch". One month later and I just received a third notice for this bill!!!
