Called for someone to inspect our home for wildlife intrusion. Paid $289 that same day for the inspection/estimate. Salesman came out a few days later (Friday) and gave me an estimate for $1150. I asked him to call me the following week and I’d let him know if I wanted the work completed. Later that same day, I noticed the entire $1150 was charged to my credit card. I reached out to the salesman and he said to call the office the following Monday. The website showed Saturday hours beginning at 8am. I called and left a detailed voice mail. I didn’t hear from anyone Monday morning so I called again. Could not reach a live person. As of this writing I have not heard back from the salesman or the company. UPDATE: They reversed the charges this morning.

We switched from Northwest Exterminating to Smart Solutions Wildlife after Northwest repeatedly failed to properly inspect and identify a squirrel issue in our home. Even though I was already a NW customer, they barely looked at our roof and attic and missed the problem multiple times. Smart Solutions came in and immediately did a far more thorough inspection, clearly identifying the squirrel entry points that Northwest had overlooked. We then moved our general pest control to Smart Solutions because of their strong reputation for wildlife work, and they completely lived up to it. They took the time to investigate the roof and attic, explained exactly what they found, and correctly remediated the issue. Jay, the owner, clearly takes great pride in his work and in making sure customers are happy. Ryan is an incredible technician — knowledgeable, detail-oriented, and professional. If you want a company that actually takes the time to find and fix wildlife problems instead of glossing over them, Smart Solutions Wildlife is the company to call. Highly recommend.

I had no contact with Stefano. I have no idea what he did. I still have squirrel activity. I feel I have wasted $2700 because nothing has been solved.

Price is about double their competition, expected double the service as promised by their salesman. Unfortunate reality is that they're about similar to other companies, not worth the extra price.

Hello, we appreciate your feedback so much. I understand that our manager Kevin Mitchell is trying to reach out to you and work with you on your landscaping. Unfortunately, when the trees are allowed to grow on to the house, it is hard to control insect situations. This makes the treatments and control processes harder to accomplish. It also causes damage to the roof and causes liabilities. Especially in the eyes of insurance companies covering the home for damage. We've been up on your roof treating your ridge vent to try and help the problem. Most pest control companies don't carry ladders on their trucks. We are diligently trying to work with you to get you to do your part to take care of your home and yard. We look forward to hopefully turning the corner on this with your help and a tree company so we can integrate pest management beyond chemical control. Pest management involves doing alterations to the yard to reduce food, shelter and water in order to have success with controlling pests. I'm sure you would agree that this will help us help you. I am a very involved owner, and I'm happy to speak to you about whatever we can do to help with our large network of referrals.

I paid several thousand dollars and all they did was show up with rat traps! I’ve had more problems since their initial trappings and it’s fallen on deaf ears. I was told I would have to spend more more to take care of the new rats. Don’t waste your money!

Hello Kathleen, I’m sorry to hear that you’re still dealing with rats. We have on record that you spent $900 to partially seal up some of your house. We also have on record that you put out your own traps and chose to do your own trapping and the 12 month contract to do outside rodent control was canceled after one service. We would suggest that you seal the rest of your house up like we offered to begin with and allow us to provide you a service without taking into your own hands. We have done rodent control for over 20 years. If it was that easy to control a rat issue and people could take it into their own hands, we would not have the reputation that we do have, and we would not be in business. We would love to be able to give you the full service and if you change your mind please call us back.

We show a refund in your account less than 2 days after you signed for service but never performed any type of service for you. Strange experience... I got a full quote from them without an inspection of my home. Technician put together a full report earlier than actual scheduled appointment and sent it to me via email. He also sent me an invoice for approx. $600 for what was supposed to be a free inspection. I later learned from my brother, who was at the home all day, that no one showed up. Thing is the quote gave the impression of a full inspection, including the inside of the home. I called to query this and not heard back from them since. 2 stars because their office customer service was great, circumstance of technician's invoice and quote questionable though.

Hello, we hope you are well. We showed up and waited for 2 1/2 hours for someone to be at the home to inspect it. After waiting 2 1/2 hours and trying to contact you several times we performed an outside inspection only and gave you an estimate on getting the house secure and sealed for preventative animal entry. We have emailed and spoke with you several times since the inspection. We also sent you a document for a pest control agreement. Both of these are estimates you were never sent an invoice or charged anything. We would appreciate if you would please remove this bad review since no one showed up for the inspection. When we were onsite we gave your drywall guy(who was also waiting) and your landscaper business cards. We pride ourselves on our quality customer service and work. It is unfortunate that no one showed in this instance as we are happy to help you with your problem. We are happy to try to bridge the gap in communication here to make sure that you are satisfied customer. I am an extremely involved owner and I am happy to try to make it right in anyway that we can.
Josh, my final technician, was amazing and thorough. Up to that point, I had a number of different technicians who were sporadic in their attempts to remove the rats from my attic. Communication from the office to technician and finally to me were not consistent. I have had no further issues since the last attic visit.
