The job was more complex than initially expected, but he handled it thoroughly—cutting back the tree, locating the hive, and identifying the queen. I live in Corpus Christi, Texas and was seeking qualified advice about a hive that established itself on the limb of one of my trees, last October and decided stay——it’s now March! I called James and he was out the same day. He went right to work, had everything he needed on his truck, and humanely captured and relocated the hive that was in the wall of my daughter’s playhouse. He also provided me with an excellent video of the entire event, and was patient and educational in the process, as well as the follow up the following day. Couldn’t have asked for better experience! Found James online and his services did not disappoint! He was very professional and very informative. Took good care of us and the Bees. Definitely recommend him to anyone with a Bee problem.

The beekeeper visited the property and attempted to seal the cave where the bees were housed before the arborists arrived to remove the tree two days later. Unfortunately, the treatment was unsuccessful. During the tree removal, the crew was attacked by bees, which resulted in an additional $200 charge to the total cost. After the work was completed, the yard was left scattered with honeycombs and bees. I contacted the beekeeper to inform him about the situation and the report from the arborist’s crew. He promptly returned to remove the honeycombs and as many bees as possible. He advised allowing a few days for the remaining bees to relocate on their own and requested that I call him back if the issue persists.

The Other Bee Guy should rename his business to The Best Bee Guy. Our home had a very large hive in the soffit that was difficult to reach. James performed a live extraction. It took a few visits to get the stragglers but he stuck to his price. James is knowledgeable, honorable and hardworking. We really appreciate his professionalism.

I had asked my pest control company to remove a large bee hive embedded deep inside the front pillar of my home. That didn’t work. So I called James. He was responsive, professional, and prompt. He had the knowledge and equipment to root it out, extract the queen and the wax, relocate the bees, and seal up the space for good. Mission accomplished!

From the first phone call to the meeting in person,James was a gem. He explained his procedure to me, over the phone. I sent photos and we had further conversation. He is honest, trustworthy, and informative. When James came to my hive location he was able to pinoint the bee entry. He answered all my questions. A wonderful education about bees. We had several bees swarming outside our building. We called James and he did an amazing job collecting and relocating the Queen, hive and worker bees. He was very professional, kind and knowledgeable. We learned a lot.

The honey at the stand appears to be of good quality, though it is quite expensive ($20/lb) and he only accepts cash. Keep in mind if you're wanting to stop and grab some.

James is the best! He helped me get my first hive and has been a wealth of knowledge. Anytime I have a question and ask him, he takes time to respond. He has a box/library of honey (honor system, leave cash in box and take a bottle) in his front yard, I’ve enjoyed it and shared with friends who love it too. very friendly guy, knowledgeable and helpful, would be the first person I’d recommend for removals, honey, or starting a new hive!
