Terrible customer service, the phone is always busy, or out of order / no service . I have tried to cancel service for three days before they renew this PAID in FULL contract - think about it WHY do they have you pay in full ? and if you try and cancel you DO NOT get any refunded money

While Jerry from Superior Services serviced our irrigation system he discovered an underground leak. Uncovering it revealed a broken T-connection that had been affected by a large root from the oak tree we recently had removed. He did a great job making the necessary repairs and left the area like it never happened. We’ve been a customer of Superior for almost 15 years and have enjoyed their landscape, pest control and irrigation services with never a problem. They are highly recommended.

This morning, 11/18/2025, our technician, Christopher came to do the monthly spray on my yard and what a job he did! Christopher is such a nice and caring person. He made sure that the yard had been sprayed evenly and all over! He took his time and I really appreciate this job well done! He also made sure to tell me that the yard needed watering ASAP. We purchased a home in 2025 that already had paid for this yearly service. We weren't set on keeping them... until we had a problem. I called Vanessa at 4:55pm (they close at 5pm) and she got a tech there by 8:30 the next day. They DO NOT PLAY when it comes to bugs. I live out of town. Tech (Christy) knew I wouldn't be there, but still put on booties, communicated clearly with cell phone and sent over results of inspection within just a few minutes of being on the property. I have signed up again for next year and will continue services. For any negative reviews on here, please consider giving the company a chance to remedy the situation and then adjust your review with the outcome. This company did not have to go above and beyond for us, I gave them no notice, but they did. I truly think that reviews are important to share feedback and also provide a follow up to see if the company would rectify. Give them a chance - I will not switch after my experience. Thank you!

Have been with Superior for all services they offer for 5 years now. The pest control portion seems to be satisfactory. Their lawn service is another story. Weeds are taking over my yard...more every year. Have contacted them multiple times with concerns. They send a person out to give an extra treatment. When we came down in Sept after being in Ohio for the summer we found bare patches or weeds in large portions of the lawn. I called them to find out if they knew why and they said they think I have bugs in the soil. They said the tech noted that but didn't treat with bug killer. He came back the following week to apply it. I don't understand why I have to call them to tell them my lawn looks like crap when I'm paying them to take care of it before it gets that way. I don't think their techs are trained sufficiently. I've had enough frustration. I will be changing to another company.

My wife and I signed up for there program 4 months ago we were told that there would be a monthly treatment. After the initial treatment we had not seen on camera anyone. We started having a major flea problem so we called the company to let them know that no one had been out since the first time. After a lot of back and forth the manager came to the house and sprayed something in the house. We were told this would take care of the problem and he had a different guy coming the next day to spray yard. The next day the guy never showed. We were told his truck broke down so my wife had taken a day off to be there at 10am for no one to show. The next day we had no idea a time but a guy showed up but couldn’t get in the gate. This company lacks in communication. Anyway finally the guy showed up two days later and sprayed something in 8 min and was gone. The flea issue was still bad I messaged the manager and he said it takes up to 48hours. 72 hours later I messaged the manager. That we still had a flea issue. No response. As of today I respectfully request a full refund he stated no that’s not there policy. This company takes your money and does nothing for it beware. They have so many reviews on here saying the same thing I wish I would have read the reviews first. We have just as many pest as we had before we hired them.

The visit was promptly rescheduled, but when our technician arrived for the new appointment, no one was home to provide access for the interior treatment. A service notice was left, and an email was sent requesting to reschedule; however, we did not receive a response until a couple of months later when a service call was requested.<br><br>At that point, our supervisor personally visited the home to treat, and a technician was sent again the next day to complete additional work. Unfortunately, the technician was again unable to treat the inside because no one was home and calls to reach the customer went unanswered. Our field supervisor has also made several attempts to contact you since then to resolve the issue but has not received a return call.<br><br>We truly regret that this experience did not meet your expectations, as our goal is always to maintain clear communication and effective service. Do NOT hire Superior Pest Control, worst service and they will steal your money. They destroyed my lawn, have bugs, weeds all over so I wanted out after 2.5 months. I had to have 50% of my lawn replaced, I can't trust them again. They won't refund even part of my money, they stole 10-months of my money. They failed at their business and what they were hired to do, and I have damages over it, and yet they won't grant you even half your money back. Worst company ever!!!

After reviewing your account, I see that you purchased a bundle which included pest, lawn, shrub, and termite services. Our records show that the termite service was completed, both inside and outside pest treatments were performed, the initial lawn and shrub service was provided, and the next month’s lawn service was also completed.<br><br>Per the signed 12-month agreement, it can take up to six months to see favorable results with lawn and shrub treatments. Since the account was canceled after only two treatments (approximately 1–2 months), there wasn’t enough time for the services to achieve the expected results. We sincerely wish you had allowed us to continue with the full program as agreed, so we could demonstrate the true benefits of our services within the recommended timeframe.

This is absolutely the worst service I have ever had in 35 years of lawn care service in Florida. I was sold the service by Mitch. He promissed that the service would be better than any other. I siged up for the service and the next day the lawn was treated. I did not see another service for almost 2 months. The only reason I got service was a phone call I made to them. I was told it was okay they could catch up on the service. This is not okay. I can see the catch up. Maybe get 2 treatmenst a month. The second service being nothing. Let me tell you about the service. In the year we had the service we had 2 technicians. Woody and DJ. Dj actually did a good job. Woody would show up get a ittle bucket of granules and walk around throwing a few handfuls on the ground. He never spayed liquid fertilizer or anything else. I confronted him about it and he told me he could tell just by looking at my yard what it needed. BS! I guess with someone like Woody horticulturist would not be needed. Long story short I would not let Superior ever touch my yard again. The pure lack of concern just blows me away. I tried to confront Mitch but he told me it wasn't his problem to call the office. What a change of attitude. Sell a service then run and hide. Do yourself a favor and find some other service. Superior is the exact opposit of their name. To your response. You did not service us every month. Here is a picture of all the times you serviced our house.

Not a good company with many bad reviews; and truck 5741, with the older guy passenger, is about as horrible as an employee you can imagine. They are not someone I would suggest using. We had an experience with this company during the middle of March2025 and do not recommend! I wish they were worth my time of correcting, but they lack intelligence!

Do not sign a contract with these people. Service has gone downward over the past 2 years. Tech came out for my sprinklers. 3 times. Never tested the system, just tried getting in and out. Appointments are not given a time slot for sprinklers and they say the tech will call. 3 visits, no calls. No time frames given. So, in theory, they give you a day and the timeframe is all day. What a joke. Like thanks for wasting 3 days off from work, for no repairs done, no testing. Just setting a computer and leaving. Come to find out, had a valve out and bad heads. Regarding pest and lawn, decent, but the attitude from the phone receptionist at the office, who gives a lovely attitude, made me go elsewhere. Time frames are needed, even a AM or PM slot would be great, then I could spend my entire vacation with my family. In the end, my lawn is dead and looks like a babies diaper. Thanks Superior for your fine work.

Beware if you’re considering hiring this company that you are locked into an annual contract. The reason they do so is that then they won’t stand behind the inferior service that they provide. I hired Superior to provide pest & weed control for my yard in addition to fertilization. After 6 months under Superior’s “management” of my lawn, what remains of my actual grass was completely choked out by weeds that completely took over my yard. Weeds completely took over my lawn under Superior’s care. My lawn would have better served to have no care vs. paying this company. I spent a backbreaking week pulling weeds by hand from my yard in order to attempt to allow my remaining grass to come back to life. When contacting Superior with my issues & dissatisfaction, I was referred to the manager, Rich Lagasse, who refuses to offer me a refund of the remaining 6 months of the contract & will not let me out of the contract. He just states repeatedly that there’s nothing he can do other than to enforce the contract. I met with Massey & they offer a month to month contract & they stand behind their work & will not force you to remain stuck with them if you are displeased with the service. For anyone out there in The Villages who is looking for care of your lawn, don’t hire this company. I wish I had done more research because I made a huge mistake & am throwing my money down the toilet while my lawn continues to degrade further & further each month Superior is “caring” for it. Run away from them as fast as you can & hire a company that knows what they are doing that will stand behind the work not a contract so that your lawn will not be destroyed. I can’t believe I paid them for this.

Thank you for the opportunity to address your concerns. The client and Superior Services entered into an agreement in July 2023 due to a concern of a lawn destroying insect attacking her lawn causing damage to her lawn. Our agreement states a few key points that the client has brought up. We have followed our agreement completely. Results are always difficult to determine due to the fact we are working with a living organism (grass) and many factors that can affect it. The agreement states “Includes service and/or treatment for fertilization, lawn destroying insects, disease & fungus and limited weed control. Superior agrees to service your lawn for a minimum of 12 treatments each year.” It goes on to say in our section listed on the lower portion of the agreement, bullet point # 3 "Weed control may not be performed for the initial 2-3 months due to possible lawn stress. Favorable results may take 4-6 months, or in some cases longer." The reason these notes are made on the agreement is to inform our clients that these things take time. Along with our treatments watering and mowing are also a crucial part to the success of the client’s lawn. We do not perform these services for the client and recommend these areas get reviewed as well as our continued efforts in improving the conditions. We have provided services monthly for this property per our agreement and we stand ready to continue services on the client’s property and will do our best to improve the conditions of her lawn.<br>

UPDATE to Owners response: Thanks the supervisor did come out on late on Friday before a Labor Day holiday weekend to discuss my complaint and inspect my lawn problems and view the videos of the service tech and time spent. He said he would address and use as training tool. Unfortunately the same service tech came out and did exactly the same thing only sprayed something in my front yard and was gone in less than 5 minutes. He never went into the back or side yards and didn't leave any paperwork. I txted the supervisor and sent the video but never heard back. I don't think I'm asking too much to get my lawn service done on all my lawn as promised when I signed the contract. I thought I was getting a deal but you get what you pay for! It's a new home and new St Augustine grass. We have bugs and they can't seem to eradicate. The lawn and shrub service is very hit or miss. Sometimes they do the whole lawn and other times just do the front. I don't have a dog or fence but I do have cameras. The guy sprayed the front and never went in back. I called and he came back and sprayed the front again after I told them the back and sides weren't done and I have cameras. I WILL NOT RENEW and would demand my money back but they won't. I'll keep calling just to get what I paid for!!!

We offer next day service and a 2 hour window on all service calls. No waiting around all day for the bugman! Baloney! Superior Service of Central Florida is any but Superior. I signed a contract with them 5 months ago to take care my lawn as well as pest control. My lawn looks terrible and doesn’t look like it’s had any fertilizer put on it at all. Today I called for service and spoke with Julie, because their web site say and I quote “ We offer next day service and a 2 hour window on all service calls. No waiting around all day for the bug man.” Today Julie said I was due for service next week and I ask that someone comes by tomorrow to discuss my lawn problem and she that would be at least 3 weeks out. I ask about the we offer next day service and was told that is only if they have someone available. I ask to speak to a supervisor and was told that none were in the office. I ask that she give them a message, she said she would but couldn’t guarantee that anyone would be in contact. I ask about canceling my service and getting a refund and she told me I could cancel service but there would be no refund. I would advise to avoid this company like the plague!

If you need a service call inside the home, we offer a two hour window. If you need us sooner than our schedule allows then we fit you into the schedule as an anytime appointment because there are no windows open for that day, because we are trying to accommodate you by coming earlier. If you need someone for the lawn, there is no window and that is due to us treating each lawn according to its unique needs. So we never know how long we will be on one lawn to the next. I just tell my neighbors to take one look at my deplorable lawn before making a decision as to start or continue service with this company. They had 15 months to service my lawn and in my opinion my lawn looks like hell!! Oh and they will come up with multiple excuses so as not to refund your money. I will never use this company again!!! ****************************************************************** So the company responded suggesting that my lawn issue was due to the winter months. LET ME BE CLEAR, THE PHOTOS POSTED WERE TAKEN IN NOV 2022! Long before any alleged winter issues. This company just comes up with excuses for their incompetence when it comes to lawn service. What they are correct about is all I want is a refund for services not rendered. A pretty reasonable request in my opinion. If they were a reputable company they would refund without question. I still await my refund!! Fortunately the state of Florida has a very aggressive prosecutor for companies that take advantage of seniors. They are my next email!!

We appreciate your feedback on this matter. As you know we had some very cold days this winter that has damaged many landscape plants & lawns. Unfortunately, this damage cannot be repaired until early spring (March & April) when proper fertilization would be performed to encourage new growth. As we discussed with you in person and through the BBB we have been willing to work with you to accommodate your request, however you are only interested in a refund for all services when we have already performed Termite, Pest & Shrub services to your satisfaction. Our agreement is an annual agreement that does not include refunds. We did give you other options, however you have been unwilling to work with us. I understand your frustration, however we have always been ready to help and we continue to stand ready to service your home and property. Your services have been put on hold and you will be able to utilize them in the future if you decide to.
