Big Hearts For Big Dogs Rescue

We found a dog and drove to the place to check the microchip The place have been close for 5 years! The website still have this information and appears to be working and still taking Donations

My wife and I put in an application for 2 dogs listed at the Ft Myers location. It’s been 3 1/2 weeks now with no response yet they keep asking for adopters. We’ve never been denied any adoptions we’ve applied for in the past, never surrendered an animal, have a fenced in yard on 4 acres and have no financial issues whatsoever. Either they are running a rescue to save dogs and get them adopted or they are running a rescue for donations with no intention to adopt. We are wondering if the dogs even exist because they’re definitely not interested in responding to potential adopters. I’d avoid this rescue at all costs. Hillsborough Animal services is where we found our 2 new pups today. Lots of awesome dogs there and not charging an arm and a leg either.

I had a dog in my home from this rescue. I was told that the trainer would keep the dog while I was on vacation. The trainer made up lies about me, saying that I wanted a dog park dog, and that I kept the dog tied up outside. None of this was remotely true (the dog had never been outside without me), but the rescue had no interest in hearing from me. They took the dog from me, and when I tried to get the $300 worth of supplies back from the trainer, they sent me a text telling me I needed to leave her alone. My experience with this rescue was a sad reminder that there are mean-spirited people in this world.

Awesome rescue as most people are set on smaller dogs and no pits/bullies. They’re awesome and compassionate. Highly recommended. Highly

What a great rescue! The fosters and volunteers truly care about each and every dog they rescue. The adoption process is rigorous but knowing that these dogs have all been failed at least once, I applaud them for trying their best to make sure they place each dog in the best possible home for that dog. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to adopt!

I'd give it less than a star, but Google won't let me, I emailed the Fort Myers about a dog (it was a dog I lost 2 years ago) that was still listed on the website even tho she was adopted & the person emailing me back was extremely rude to me. She kept trying to shove down my throat that it wasn't my dog & when she made a comparison pic of the two dogs 6 EMAILS IN & I pointed out that she should of done it the first or second email she said "I didn't have to "PROVE" anything to you" & continued emailing me after that along with emojis on the email which means she was probably using her phone to do it. I'd honestly would rather adopt from a Kill shelter than put $150 down on a dog that's gonna get adopted by the foster parents anyways
