Southern Care Lawn and Pest, Inc

Been using them for over 10 years and originally gave them a 5* review and several referrals. Not anymore and everyone I referred had already or are about to drop them. The last couple of years quality of service and attention to detail has clearly declined. Multiple complaints regarding orange staining on my newly painted house, white PVC fence, and white mailbox were addressed, however lately they have gone ignored. This spring I also complained at least three times about a mole cricket infestation which ultimately resulted in lawn damage and invasive weeds taking over those areas now. Often when I plant flowers, I dig up white grubs. I also have the worst Bermuda grass infestation on the other side of my home that I never had before. I have never had a lawn mowing service so contamination is out of the question. The icing on the cake recently was they gave my personal information to another lawn company called Plant It Earth, who cold called me to try to sell me a $29.99 a month mosquito treatment because "the raining season" was coming... That is just ridiculous. I then spoke with Southern Care, confirmed the soliciting company was associated with them by the same ownership, and that's how they got my personal information. I also expressed my overall dissatisfaction and the poor service over the last couple of years, especially the orange staining that essentially amounts to damage to my home. Due to these repeated failures and their breach of customer loyalty and privacy, I canceled service. In response I received an email requesting specifics why I canceled, which I immediately provided in writing and offered to keep them if they repaired my yard and remove the orange staining. Their response was my email was being forwarded.. That was over two weeks ago. I also learned it appears about the time their quality dropped, Southern Care was acquired by a company based in Texas, who also appears to own the cold call soliciting company, Plant It Earth. I understand people make mistakes and poor decisions, however it is often more important how they respond to their failures. After two weeks, they have shown zero accountability.

Always great service and support. I’ve had Southern Care for five years and my lawn looks great. I’ve had a few situations where I’ve put a call in due to possible lawn issue and in an hour someone is at my front door to address the issue, and both times it was a sprinkler issue. Demonstrates how they always want onto stay ahead of any possible issues.
