We had squirrels in our soffits. Critter Control came same day as my call, inspected the situation, scheduled the service, and the tech came as scheduled and sealed up the 4 potential entry sites and put a one-way passage on the most likely one. After about a day it appears they are all gone.

Response from Critter Control® of Orlando

Thank you for the great review, Frank. We are glad our team could respond the same day, inspect and schedule the service, seal the entry points and install the one-way passage, and that the squirrels appear to be gone. We appreciate you trusting Critter Control; please contact us any time if you need further help or prevention.

These guys are idiots and just try to impose fear on their clients to extract more money from them. To think a simple squirrel in an attic warrants full removal of insulation and replacement is ridiculous. My wife contacted this company and that’s what they told her. I peeked into the attic and barely saw any droppings. They wanted $6000 for the entire process. Look elsewhere if you have this issue.

Our Field Manager, Matt, has been working with Mr. and Mrs. McCosham since August of 2025. Matt explained in detail what services we could offer and what the results of those services would be. There was an odor in the home in a part of the attic that was inaccessible, Mr. McCosham asked that we perform a cleanup and microbial disinfectant treatment in the attic. Matt explained that this may not take away the odor since the area of concern was inaccessible, but the owners wanted to try. We charged only for the microbial not for the spot clean up and unfortunately it did not remove the odor. We gave all possible solutions and worked with the owners every step of the w

My wife posted this review on 2/15 when she posted we immediately got a reply that customer service and upper management will be contacting us. since then the reply has been deleted and we are still waiting to get a call from the company. I emailed the manager multiple times stating that we were still dealing with the same issues and requested a second opinion and to work with another manager to which she replied, there was nobody else and that they were done. when I requested the refund due to the job not being accomplished her answer was that they did the best they could. Do not recommend this company "UPDATE 02/26/26 **Its been more than 10 days from my initial post and their initial reply which they later deleted, demonstrating zero accountability . UPDATE 02/19/26** They replied immediately to my review (sunday 02/15/26). Stating they will contact us in the next 48 ours (that would have been 2 days ago). They accepted that the behavior of their employee was "unacceptable", that they actually do followups of their services, apologized for our "distress" as its still an ongoing issue and that it was not the standard of service they offered and wanted to get in touch. Im still waiting for them to reach out. As you can see they deleted their initial response I will soon attach a picture of it since I gladly took a picture of it. (02/15/26) We hired Critter Control in June 2025 to remove bats, seal entry points, clean the attic, and treat bat bugs. The initial bat removal cost $2,039, and we fully acknowledge and approve that cost. Our concern is not the bat removal itself — it is everything that followed. They gave us full confidence that the job would be completed successfully. As you can imagine, we were extremely distressed about having this infestation in our home. Their bat removal initially failed. Just three days after they said the job was done, bats were again flying inside our house. Because no follow-up was scheduled, we had to call them ourselves to come back and properly seal the entry points. When the bats were finally removed (August 2025), we had a big odor problem and also had bugs in the attic due to the bat infestation, the problem was so severe that bugs were coming into the house and we had to close out part of our home. Critter control said this could be taken care of with the attic cleaning and the ectoparasite treatment since this was due to Guano. They said this would be $1,000, we agreed on this. Effective? Not at all. It is now February 2026. The bats are gone, but the bat bugs they brought are still falling from our ceiling. We asked Critter Control to come back and evaluate the situation. Their response was that we “had to wait longer.” We expressed our concerns about the poor attic cleaning and the failed ectoparasite treatment, but they refused to take accountability or refund the portions of the job that did not work. I already know what they will say in response to this review — “we explained the treatment and said it was not going to work” As if anyone would knowingly pay $1,000 for something that doesn’t solve the problem. The last time they came, in November 2025, they made it clear they would do nothing further. Their technician was dismissive, rude, and even laughed in my face when I explained that the bug infestation was still ongoing (video attached). Ask yourself: would you pay $1,000 for a treatment that doesn’t work and then be mocked when you complain? Because that’s exactly what Critter Control expects."

They refused to help me until I cover all small openings in my garage. That’s what I thought I hired them for. They even said my garage door doesn’t close completely. I could have done that a year ago. The garage isn’t the problem. No explanation as to why they refused to help me. Once I fix my garage openings, the cost will be $4000. No further explanation. They obviously did not want to help me.

The quality of the job looks far less costly than the estimated price of the work. It took under an hour and they needed to come back twice to assure that the already low quality, cheap/ thin metal grates were installed properly. The critter wasn’t needed to be physically removed or further removal of it or any other animals, there wasn’t even any proof it left. The grates are so cheap looking and appear to be very low cost items (we thought the original style/shape and even maybe a closer color match of a tan color would be done). The entry area they needed to fix at the top of the roof had a piece of what looks like sheet metal thrown on top. It looks crooked and just slapped on. While we do appreciate returning twice to fix the original errors, we are very disappointed in the quality of this job and are having trouble quantifying the cost to materials and labor warranted. The $1800 quote and amount is ludicrous - the down payment of $900 that we initially paid even seems to far surpass the value and quality received. We asked they provide us an itemized list to explain the cost for the remainder but they just charged our card for the other $900 automatically. Would give zero stars if I could. The only thing that warrants one star is the fact that they were responsive and came out to fix the issues but the work overall is worse than if a person who has no idea what they were doing it attempted to follow a YouTube video and fix it. Honestly I’d rather have had my kid go out and do it. EDIT TO ADD: They responded below like they care and want me to reach out but I had already emailed and they never responded. My review is the exact email I had sent them edited a bit for directing it at them versus a review. They not only ignored my concerns that this job wasn’t worth the $900 I had put down and I was trying to discuss with them a price adjustment and not having to pay the other half of the $1800 from the estimate because this job wasn’t worth it! It was so horrible and they ignored me and charged the card anyway. Ignore their reply below. They do not care they just over charge you for absolutely abysmal work and materials. Honestly kids could have done this better. STAYYYYYYYYYY AWAYYYYYYYY !!!!!! ZERO STARS

Our Field Manager, Matt, contacted customer who was upset about soffit vent covers not being installed correctly. Matt explained he was the Manager and would come out to address the problem. Matt went out Friday, 1/16, to assess, purchased all new vents then installed those the following Monday, 1/19. Matt spoke with Mrs.Wirz a few times over the phone after that, she never brought up quality of soffits or any other issues. The two times Matt was at the home; the customer never came outside to speak with him in person. Once we processed the final payment on the customers card on 2/2, only then did she leave a negative review.

It started with their horrible AI voicemail system. Then waiting for their representative showing up two hours past the visit window. The quote for work was $1760 to animal proof three dormer soffits. The work effort for the two technicians took less then 3 hours and the results was a complete eye sore for all to see. The technician screwed flimsy sheet metal to the fascia boards and glued it to the shingles. Everything was uneven and rushed. At a rate of $300 an hour per technician, I would expect the work to be neat and precise. I texted and called to express my concerns and when the manager finally came out he said that this is what they typically do and can not fix it. He offered to refund my deposit but failed to mention that they are retaining 25% of the total cost. $440 dollar spend for holes in my fascia boards and glue on my shingles. Do not do business with this company. What does the owner response "... with the deposit refund and will review this matter further" mean? As of 11/14/25, we have not heard back from them on this issue. What was the result of the review, admit to doing a poor job and keep the money?

Response from Critter Control® of Orlando

We sincerely apologize for your experience and appreciate your feedback. We strive for high standards in both our service and workmanship, and it seems we fell short in your case. Your concerns regarding the installation and communication have been noted and will be addressed with our team to ensure improvements are made. We understand your frustration with the deposit refund and will review this matter further. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Terrible experience. About three years ago, I hired them to take care of bats that had gotten into a section of the soffit. I paid roughly $1,200 for removal and sealing to prevent future entry. What I didn’t know at the time—since I couldn’t see the area—was that they sealed a 2-inch gap in the soffit using nothing but caulking. For a gap that wide, proper practice would be to use a backer rod before caulking; otherwise, failure is inevitable. Instead, they just used caulking alone. That’s not just poor workmanship—it’s incompetence, and that’s how I now view this company. When I brought this up with Christina, the office manager, her response was, “Well, it lasted three years.” In my opinion, if the job had been done correctly the first time, the bats would never have been able to return. They charged me another $600 for removal the second time. Based on the way the repair was explained to me, I believe it’s finally been done properly—though I can’t see it myself. Hopefully this time the bats won’t be able to get in again but if I ever have another critter problem, I will definitely be looking for a different company in the Orlando area.

Response from Critter Control® of Orlando

We provided bat exclusion services for you in 2022 which came with a one-year warranty. Each year we offer a reinspection of our work and offer the warranty renewal for a fee, as stated in our contract. Unfortunately, you did not renew your warranty in 2023 or 2024 then in 2025 the bats returned. Instead of charging you for the removal and sealing the entry point we simply charged you for the two-year warranty renewals to put you back under warranty. We again removed the bats and sealed the entry point. If you would like to discuss further please call us at 407-295-7194

Critter Control does lousy work. Ever since my initial payment and visit they have been terrible on follow ups. We still have an ongoing problem with small mice in our attic since the guy they send out never goes in the attic to check things out. They go on the roof and check for possible entry points for the mice. They just tell me they found a small spot and they patched it up? I have no idea what they did. They make me feel like I am inconveniencing them. It just seems like a SCAM and they just tell the consumers what they want to hear. When they first came out for the quote, they were in the attic checking things out and up on the roof checking things out. Since that initial visit we still have had small mice in our attic and they don't fix the problem. I felt that they were a good company, they ARE NOT a good company! Avoid them at all costs. They are unreliable and there work stinks. They were scheduled to come out today (Monday 3/24/2025) at 11am to check out my roof for mice entryways but they didn't show up and didn't have the courtesy to call to tell me there was a problem. Just ridiculous! Very disappointing to say the least. They need new employees who care about their clients not the current clowns!

Response from Critter Control® of Orlando

Mr. Parisi, I'm addressing your recent review of our company. While we understand that you're frustrated with the ongoing mouse problem in your attic, there are some inaccuracies in your review that need to be corrected.<br>First, regarding the scheduling issue as I read through the text communications:<br>- Our technician on March 20, 2025 confirmed an appointment with you for Friday, March 21, 2025.<br>- You canceled that appointment late on Thursday, March 20, at 4:47 PM, stating you had to take your wife to an appointment.<br>- Our technician offered to reschedule, including a Saturday appointment, but you said you wouldn't be available until "late next week."<br>- On Monday, March 24, 2025, our technician was in your neighborhood helping another customer and reached out to you by text to see if you were available at that time.<br>- You responded by text by telling him to "stop contacting me" and then used profanity, which is unacceptable.<br><br>Your review states that we were scheduled to come out on Monday at 11 am but didn't show up. However, our records indicate that there was no scheduled appointment on that day which is confirmed by your text msg. The technician was merely checking if you were available while he was in the area. Therefore, your claim is incorrect.<br><br>Now, concerning the mouse problem:<br>- During our initial visit, we checked both the attic and the roof for entry points and sealed any we found.<br>- It's important to note that mice can enter through very small holes—about the size of a dime. So, even if we sealed what we found, new or previously unnoticed entry points might be present.<br>- Follow-up visits are crucial to ensure that all entry points are sealed and that the infestation is fully resolved.<br>- Due to your unavailability and cancellation of appointments, we haven't been able to conduct these necessary follow-up inspections.<br><br>We have a standard process for handling wildlife control issues, which includes initial assessment, removing the pest, sealing entry points, and follow-up visits to ensure the problem is resolved. We are committed to following this process to provide the best possible service to our customers. As a company with over 35 years of experience in wildlife control and pest management, we offer a satisfaction guarantee and are dedicated to resolving your issue.<br><br>We invite you to contact our office to schedule a new appointment. We will thoroughly check your property and address any entry points that may have been missed or have developed since our last visit.<br><br>We also want to emphasize that our employees are dedicated professionals who work hard to provide excellent service. We expect our customers to treat them with the respect they deserve. Your use of profanity and rude behavior towards our technician is unacceptable and will not be tolerated. We encourage you to communicate any concerns or issues in a respectful manner.<br><br>We are confident that with your cooperation, we can resolve this issue to your satisfaction. Please don't hesitate to contact us.

I called. I got on the books for a "free consultation". They never called me back. I called to find out what happened. No call back. HORRIBLE SERVICE. **EDIT AND RESPONSE TO OWNER'S RESPONSE** I did not receive any call on 1/14/2025 to my phone number from any of the numbers associated with your company and no voicemail left, so this is a complete lie and quite disappointing for you to claim. Ryan called me this morning 1/20/2025 (from the number I do have associated with your company) and mentioned absolutely nothing of this sort, which furthers the claim it is all lies. It was quite sad how all I said calmly was "I have hired a different company to do the work" and he said "sounds good" and we said goodbye to each other. "Sounds good"? To not get ahold of me ONE WEEK after my initial call and had no apologies for wait time? Context matters.... this is a critter problem. That is your business. Wait times in excess like this have real implications. I understand companies becoming busy and things falling through the cracks. But this attitude behind it? Completely passive with no acknowledgement of that situation? That to me is unacceptable for your industry. I'm a reasonable person and a business owner myself. I would be ashamed if I were in your position and I would stand up for the wrong and explain the company made a mistake. I wouldn't act like any of this "sounds good". BEWARE anyone dealing with this company. They clearly are disingenuous and if you feel you want quality work done in a time frame you feel acceptable, I would not hire them. If you want an owner and/or manager to call me to actually show any care, please do so. I will update the review to state you did reach out.

Response from Critter Control® of Orlando

Do not recommend! Their guarantee only applies if they go to your home less than 3 times, critters were still a problem after two months and they charged my credit card for another visit, because they considered 3 visit too many although they didn’t resolve the problem. You would l think for 2k they would guarantee solving the problem, not closing the job when they felt like it.

I’m very disappointed by critter control. We have a bat problem and I’ve read a lot of good reviews about them, so we got in touch and set up an appt for a free inspection. I left work early to come home and wait for someone to show up. Only no one ever did. We called the next day and they apologized and we rescheduled… only to get ghosted Again! No call, no text, no carrier pigeon. Just nothing. Very unprofessional, I guess they don’t really need our business.

Extremely poor quality workmanship and poor customer service. Very expensive work (over $1,000) with very low-quality materials. Our lead roof boots were completely manhandled. After we had a leak and subsequent mold in our home (under this lead boot), the roofer said the boots should not be punctured in this manner. Proper squirrel guards for lead boots only cost $25 each and do not puncture the boot - I will attach a photo of proper squirrel guards for your viewing pleasure. It was $1,250 to replace our lead boots - we asked Critter Control to assist with that cost. The owner never returned our call.

Response from Critter Control® of Orlando

We sent our Field Manager, Matt, to your home to look over our work performed in June of 2022. After further inspection inside the attic as well as on the roof, Matt found no evidence that our work caused a water leak and/or mold. The mold was found at the bottom of a wall in a bathroom and the claim was that the work we did on the plumbing stack caused that however we took and sent multiple photos showing there was no water intrusion from the roof. The plumber who claimed that our work caused the water leak did not go inside the attic to verify his claim nor did the contractor or roofer. We will be happy to attach the photos taken by our Field Manager as well.
