We use Activ Pest Control for ongoing maintenance and couldn’t be happier with the service. Had them out twice and still dealing with fleas. Definitely put a dent in them. But I didn't pay 400 dollars to have less fleas, they are supposed to be gone. EDIT: Rick from their office reached out to reschedule an additional visit at no cost, he was very polite and understanding, while disappointed that the prior treatments had not been completely effective. I'm hopeful this will deal with the remainder of the infestation. Will edit again post service with results.

I'm a huge animal lover, including mice. However, even I have been made to realize that a growing infestation in our attic can be unhealthy if left unchecked. Brian at Activ is the most decent, knowledgeable and hard working agent you could hope to have on your case. Today he installed the most humane option, and, being an animal lover himself, eased my mind slightly over what we need to do. I feel very grateful that we chose Activ, and God sent us Brian.

I called them to stay local They would not give me a quote Couldn’t handle the situation of bee infestation in the ground Refused to tell me what chemicals they would use to handle it Refused to match my price with Terminex Told me to cover the ground with a tarp instead of setting up an appointment to come take care of my problem ( Told me how to handle it myself) ! Technician didn’t know what he was talking about and had to keep Calling someone To talk about the situation they could not handle- Wouldn’t even tell me how they charge By the foot?! Any prices? No- He couldn’t handle that question! Never gave me a quote for a price The follow up email didn’t even give me a quote for a price Do not stay local with Lewes Active Pest Solutions Just use Terminex, Or saturated the ground and use cinnamon and save yourself a lot of money on this inept company The guy said it would be hundreds of dollars like 400 or more for a small side yard in a mobile home park. What a rip off Do not hire this company. Don’t even have them out for free Estimate. If I needed someone to come out and tell me how to do it myself he could’ve saved himself a trip and told me over the phone How to DIY it…. Did I mention it was an infestation? Of ground bees? DIY work does not help with infestations ?????? That’s why I called Who I thought was a professional Company with reasonable prices Their services are overpriced and the. technician was inept (Aaron) Terrible customer service Zero stars I had to give one just so I could do a review

Activ Pest Solutions has served this community for 25 years as a Professional Pest Management Company that provides Environmentally Sound Solutions to our clients. We enjoy a 4.9 out of 5 Star Rating on Google. Erren, a Senior Technician with Activ Pest Solutions has proudly served our clients for seven years. ALL of our Technicians are certified by the State of Delaware Department of Agriculture in the services that they provide. As professionals and as stewards of our environment, we are legally and morally bound to provide our services with the least amount of risk to our fragile ecosystem. You should be aware that the reduction of pollinators, such as bees, is a hot topic in the media and with environmentalists. The “Ground Bees” hovering above your lawn are males, are not aggressive and do not have stingers. IPM or Integrated Pest Management is a model that all professionals in our industry should follow. IPM, in short, is the management of a pest control issue without the use of pesticides and/or by eliminating conducive conditions. An example might be eliminating clogged gutters that hold water in the case of a mosquito issue. Not all pest control issues require pesticide intervention. My office provided you with that information. Additionally, you asked Erren to treat an adjacent property that did not belong to you. Had Erren agreed to treat that property, we would have broken the law, risked both our reputation and significant fines. In closing, if you are looking for a company to haphazardly spray your lawn with pesticides, we are not that company. I will personally meet with Erren on Monday to applaud his efforts and to congratulate him for making good, professional choices. Thank you for the opportunity to educate you in this matter.
Technician is knowledgeable, professional, and helpful. He is aware of the incident that urged me to procure this service, knows the schedule of which I am to receive visits from this business, and is a welcome familiar face. I appreciate being visited by someone I have seen before.

Sneaky underhanded business tactics to elicit more money from you. They will slip auto renewals forcing you to pay into your contract so be careful. An honest business would give you a contract and upon expiration of that contact ask you if you would like to renew.

In response I would add that the terms of the agreement that you signed are very evident and clearly spelled out. I would be happy to discuss this further in an effort to leave you as a happy client. This could have been handled in a better way!<br>
Extremely disappointed in the one-time pest application for ants. Yes they made it clear that it was one time application and there would be no warranty. When I talked it over with the technician it was full of upbeat conversation about how he would kill all the ants but without the contract they could return and when I asked how long he said basically when the seasons change in a few months. I was willing to take that risk.That said you would expect that the one-time application would kill the ants. We still have ants in the shower, they were eliminated from other areas. When I called to ask if they would come back out and spend 5 minutes applying in the shower where they were never killed and they remained I was told it would be a fee to visit again of over $100. I understand if they came back after a couple months it was on me, but to have them not fully accomplish what was agreed on which was a one-time kill of the ants means they failed to do the job correctly. They are going to rebut my review and hide behind the warranty and hide behind saying that they can't guarantee and the only way to guarantee is a long-term expensive contract. Buyer beware! Very disappointed that you would not spend 5 minutes returning to do a small application in one area and instead lost a customer who then left a negative review.

FACTS: We offered you a guaranteed service…you declined. You signed a one-time service agreement with bold, red, capitalized letters stating “A ONETIME TREATMENT DOES NOT ALWAYS ELIMINATE INSECT/RODENT INFESTATIONS.”, and “I HAVE BEEN INFORMED ABOUT ACTIV’S QUARTERLY SERVICE PLAN WITH 365 DAY RE-INFESTATION WARRANTY AND I DECLINE AT THIS TIME.” which you initialed next to both. Two weeks later you call us asking to come back for free and threated to give us a 1-star review if we don’t. We even offered to apply your initial service fee toward a guaranteed service and again you declined.<br>We are not hiding; we’ve been here for over 23 years with hundreds of positive reviews. Unfortunately, now we have an undeserved 1-star review from someone with buyers’ remorse and no recourse for us. Well sir, here is your 1-star review as a customer, for being unreasonable.
Service tech came to my home, did not take all the samples of insects saying "I am not going over there (window), I don't want to get bit". Iwas called the next day by the office to tell me there were no bird mites, which the following day, another tech came from another pest control company, who immediately saw the insect and identified them as BIRD MITES, before I said anything. There was also a witness to this experience. ZERO STARS ON THE RATING

In summary, customer complains of insects burrowing under her skin, has had numerous other pest control companies treat vigorously, no insects samples supporting her claim, we respectfully declined to offer additional services, customer gets upset with us for doing the right thing and tries to disparage a respected local family run company with a one star review. And so it goes...<br>Unfortunately, people can say anything they want in Google Reviews without any supporting facts or documentation. Here is our documentation of events as they really happened. First and foremost all of our technicians are highly trained professionals and are State Certified Applicators. Never would they say something a preposterous as "...I don't want to get bit", since, as professionals, we have the tools, equipment and materials to handle these situations safely. Another fact left out in this review is that the home had been treated by other companies prior to our arrival, with walls ported for insecticide injection. In that case we do not, and will not, continue with additional treatments until prior applications have been identified to avoid over-application of pesticides inside of a customers home. More facts are that insect samples were taken by our technician for identification and evaluated. As one of the most professional companies around, we will not prescribe treatment without a known target (many other companies definitely will, and most likely did). When the customer was called to discuss the insect findings, she was completely unreasonable, possibly suffering from an undiagnosed medical condition, since she stated that she has mites and the samples she gave me were taken out of her skin. Although bird mites may feed on human blood, bird mites are not able to complete their life cycle on humans and they do not burrow beneath the skin.
Long story short...Make sure you get everything in writing. Don't take tech's word because Darin will harass you non stop. Paperwork stated $245 for 1x treatment, I paid $250 and they are saying I still owe $50. Wish I never called them!

Unfortunately, a highly reputable company like Activ Pest Solutions is stuck with a one-star rating based on completely false statements by this reviewer.<br><br>We offer many services to our customers to fit their particular needs. In this case, on 10/03/18 a one-time treatment and an annual service agreement were written and given to the customer for review. This customer chose on 10/09/18, after review of both written documents for no less than six full days, to sign and accept the annual service agreement instead of the one-time agreement proposed. A fully executed and signed annual service agreement is on file for anyone to see upon request.<br><br>On 10/09/18 service was scheduled with the customer for 10/17/18, another eight days from the date that she signed the annual agreement, again leaving more than enough time to cancel the agreement prior to services being rendered. Services under the signed annual agreement were provided on 10/17/18.<br><br>However, as a good faith gesture, an offer has been made to cancel the signed annual agreement by paying a $50.00 fee, the amount of the service discount she accepted at the time she signed the agreement. This customer has yet to accept or decline the offer.
We've been loyal customers for several years. We were having issues with the technicians just showing up and were not able to have the inside of our garage treated; however, those issues were cleared up and now we get sufficient notice so we can make arrangements ahead of time for someone to be home during treatments. Activ Pest Control has always been responsive to any questions or problems that may come up - easy to work with! We would have gone with 5 stars instead of 4, but we believe a convenience fee should not be charged for paying bills online.
