Excellent tree care but lawn care was ineffective with unresponsive service.

Punctual, responsive, friendly office staff, knowledgeable arborists, excellent crew, impressed by how precisely the crew was maneuvering a remote lift through a very small entrance with inches to spare into the backyard to trim branches on a non-climbable tree. 5 stars all around for this company.

Conrad conducted a free assessment of my property with professionalism and extensive knowledge. He was not pushy and only recommended necessary services. I needed assistance with cutting down a tree and trimming another, and he efficiently oversaw his crew to complete the job seamlessly. I've consistently received thoughtful care and straightforward guidance regarding the health of my trees. Whether working with the arborist or the treatment technicians, SavATree Norwalk remains my trusted resource for all tree-related needs. Recently, I requested fertilization for two trees and a targeted fungus treatment for another. I'm hopeful the recommended treatments will be effective. Tree removal is always my last resort and in fact, significantly more costly than preserving them.

TLDR Pro: reduced mosquitoes, ticks, and killed crabgrass Con: did not reseed grass once crabgrass was killed. Resulted in a spotty bare lawn. We called weedman inquiring about a lawncare plan to remove our crabgrass and then reseed the lawn to regrow grass. Although we paid for a plan before anyone actually saw our lawn we trusted the company. Midsummer once the crabgrass was gone we asked the team when they would reseed and they told us during the fall. In September we called Weedman about timing to reseed and they told us it would be an additional $1,200 to reseed the lawn on top of what we already paid them. This was extremely disappointing as we felt like this was too much after we already paid them to do it. So we ended up doing it ourselves. Because the delivered on the insect repellent and removal of crab grass we won't rate them lower, but be sure you arr clear with them what you want and what the results will be.

They did a great job on my 30 foot tall hemlock trees. Getting a second application in the spring to kill the insects

I booked an appointment with an arborist to look at a sick and dying hedge in my yard. It was an urgent as whatever is happening is happening quickly. A day later William Henry sent me an email cancelling my appointment as the person I was due to meet with had a family emergency. Normally, I would be empathetic and understanding but being the nature of problem and the fact that I was a new client- I thought it to be extremely unprofessional to send me an email rather than a phone call or not to offer to send someone else out. I was told he would be available the following week. I was not able to wait. when I expressed my disappointment I received no response. Something felt very off and I was obviously not worth their time. They just didn’t care…

In addition to tree removal and pruning, the crew also cleared brush from the area. Chris Evans kept us informed of scheduling (post-storm equipment demand was high) and monitored the work as it was performed. He responded to all calls promptly and is clear in his explanations. Alex Maslowski and his team arrived promptly, cut, cleared and chipped in tight areas. They left the surrounding areas cleared and shrubbery undamaged. Chris has been a great contact and very informative. The crews (we used SavATree last year, too) have always done a great job. We will be using SavATree in the future.

SavATree is not inexpensive, but it has been a great company to work with, especially because their representative to our area, Christopher Evans, has been so consistently thoughtful, professional, and quick to respond to our concerns. After we had a great deal of landscaping completed, we hired SavATree to keep the new plantings fertilized and pruned and, if any troubles arose, to diagnose and treat the problem. They've done all that beautifully for two full years. The only reason I don't give the company the 5 stars they probably deserve is that they have struggled but failed to get our back lawn in really good shape. While that is true, Chris has remained concerned and has gone above and beyond to overcome the problems (which stem primarily from a huge, acid-dropping hemlock in the small yard). Chris takes his time whenever he comes by to answer our questions or to see whatever tree work we are hoping to have done. He is honest about the cost, the time it will take, and the difficulties that may arise when the work is being done. He is also an expert arborist who clearly knows how to handle tricky problems of pruning and of treating insect, fungal, or other issues that can inflict the shrubs and trees. I recommend SavATree and especially Chris Evans without reservations.
