We foster puppies so our yard is important to us. Ben Merritt has been our lawn tech for 5+ years. He understands that we have a lot of dogs here on any given day and he always texts me asking what a good time would be for him to treat the yard. He serves my Neighbourhood and to be honest they’re probably some of the nicest lawns in Bryant Arkansas. Horrible billing practices on The termite side. No communication between service tech and management and billing. Avoid their termite service. Higher priced than competition. Service tech was friendly.

Fairway Lawns uses a primitive, cheap online payment software solution that makes it difficult to pay the bill online. Then they send you to collections very quickly. They cannot retrieve the account from collections once it is sent. Furthermore, even though this is the same owners as Command Pest Control, they do not do combined billing so you have to deal with this twice. This is a very poor business practice that hurts their customers but obviously saves them money. Do not recommend.

I've been using the services of Fairway Lawn since the summer of 2023. At first, I was really happy with their service in the first year. Their Google reviews were great when I first came across them. However, this year, in 2024, I've been disappointed with their services. That's why I'm leaving this comment. You might wonder why I had a positive comment last year. Well, shouldn't a company deliver what they promise for the money? It's their responsibility, after all. And this year, they didn't meet those expectations. First and foremost, Fairway Lawn's Google review average this year dropped to 3.9. So, they have failed to satisfy many of their customers this year. If you read the negative reviews from the past few months, you'll see that others have experienced the same issues as me. So, what I'm sharing is not just my personal experience; others have had similar negative experiences too. We pay a significant amount of money to Fairway Lawn and expect good service. Unfortunately, all through the summer, my garden was overrun with weeds. I've shared my concerns with them multiple times, but there hasn't been any improvement. My neighbor across the street takes care of his garden himself and has a beautifully green lawn. Even though I'm paying for professional services, I haven't been able to achieve the same results. When I brought this up with Fairway Lawn, they suggested that I ensure sufficient watering and regular mowing. Last spring and summer, we had plenty of rain, and I mowed my lawn regularly every 5 days. However, the results didn't change. My lawn never turned out as green as my neighbor's, who didn't receive any professional services. Interestingly, when I stopped using the service in August and relied on the rain, my lawn turned a lovely shade of green. It makes me wonder if the chemicals they used were hindering its growth, although I cannot be certain. What made me terminate my contract with Fairway Lawn was when the person who came to spray my garden left after only two minutes. Yes, the individual sprayed the entire garden and disappeared after just two minutes. Of course, that's not possible! After I informed them, they returned about a week later and sprayed the garden for a proper duration. After 4-5 days, I examined the garden and found various weeds and fungi still present. In that scorching weather, the plants should have absorbed the chemical and died immediately, but they didn't. So, I contacted Fairway Lawn to express my dissatisfaction and informed them that I no longer wanted to continue with their services. A few days later, I received a bill for $120 from them. I called them 4-5 times to explain the situation, express my dissatisfaction, and share my strange experiences. Each time, they assured me that they would investigate and get back to me, but they never did. Suddenly, out of the blue, I received a letter from a collection agency demanding $120. Not only did this huge company fail to provide the service they were supposed to, but now they were also pursuing payment for a service they couldn't deliver. Paying $120 is not a problem for me. I just went ahead and paid it. However, I hope that this honest comment of mine is worth more than $120. Lastly, the last time I called their customer service, the person who initially listened to me for a long time and said they would look into it and get back to me suddenly changed their tone when they realized who I was. They asked me to stay on the line unnecessarily, and I eventually got bored and hung up. To sum it up, I cannot recommend Fairway Lawn.

We have used Fairway for years. They have my husband’s credit card on file. They made a mistake somewhere and didn’t take it out of our account. We got two phone calls after they were closed saying they needed to ask us about our account. The first time, my husband checked his cc account and saw that they had payments out as usual. After the second call (which was also after business hours), my husband called them during business hours. He told them that you always charge it to my account and my account hasn’t changed. Whoever he talked to asked him if he wanted them to put the charge (that they forgot to charge) on his credit card. He said yes. Matter settled, right? Wrong. Today, we got a letter from a collection agency. We never got a letter from Fairway over the matter. My husband checked his credit card and they did take it out after talking to my husband last week. They just lost a long time customer.

I would not recommend their service. I had been with them for over 10 years and this year was the worst. When they serviced my lawn they used poor or down graded products that did not even affect my weeds. The last tech that came in last week was caught on my camera not even spraying the entire front lawn and was is such a hurry he was gone I just a few minutes and left no lawn sign. Called office for supervisor, two hours later spoke with him and told him of my demise even sent him the videos. It’s been four days now no one has returned my calls to even try and work out solution to my problem. All I ask that they come back and spray the rest of my front lawn. Today I am paying the bill and canceling my services.

I would not recommend using Fairway Lawns. I had beautiful green grass before using Fairway Lawns, but I had a few weeds beginning to come in so I began service with Fairway on 6/1/23. After a year of using Fairway, they have completely killed all of my grass and this is now what it looks like (May 2024). It took weeks of the manager “checking notes” to get a response and finally they admitted they didn’t test appropriately for any diseases or communicate anything about curing the diseases - even though that is exactly what their company is supposed to do. Their remedy to to continue to use Fairway and pay for their services and it would “eventually” grow back. Completely unacceptable.

I have been a pleased customer for more than 8 years but for the past several months I haven’t seen anyone or seen a placard in my yard indicating treatment. I have also not received any bill with further instructions placed on my door following the yard treatment. However today I got a bill for services previously not provided plus a bill for future nonsense to be AI rendered on June 30, 2020. My yard now has weeds and dead areas for the first time. Until whatever is causing a complete failure of this company I will pay their new money scheme and try a recoup later but my sane solution is to cancel this sub-par service.

We bought a house in March that needed some pretty extensive lawn care. We hired Fairway Lawns using Google research. They offered cheaper pricing than most I called, so I signed up and prepaid for the whole year. I AM SO DISAPPOINTED IN WHAT WE GOT FROM THEM. We used about 6 months of service and then cancelled. They skipped treatments, customer service was lacking always telling us "We will have the technician to call you" and never getting calls back. I even witnessed the technician service the house 2 doors down and then leave, without treating our yard. That was the last straw. No progress on weed control in 6 months. In the heat of the summer, there should have been *SOME* browning. Not one type of weed died. Our new local lawn company, Superior Lawn Service in Searcy, AR, treated our yard on Monday of this week, and in 4 DAYS, we are already seeing our weeds begin to die. That tells me that Fairway was not treating it as needed, even when we called to receive extra attention to the areas of weeds that were the worst. So BUYER BEWARE! If you sign up with Fairway for the cheaper rates and the guarantee of good customer service, you will get what you pay for... LAZY AND WATERED DOWN SERVICE!

Update: I talked with John who is the area manager. He was passive aggressive and more bent on bragging about their company than addressing the issue. Yes, people/businesses make mistakes John. And they apologize and offer compensation in business -- particularly to customers who have been with a company for over a year. They came out for first treatment. Didn't correctly identify weeds. When I asked for a follow up to nutsedge, I was told 2-3 days. They didn't show up. After calling to inquire, I was told they didn't want to damage lawn with another follow up. That isn't what I was told when I signed up. 1. Could not deliver on time commitment. 2. Would not offer credit.

When we first hired Fairway Lawns to treat our lawn, we were getting 3 or 4 applications/year at a cost of about $250. Within a few years, the applications were up to 10-12/year at a cost of over $800. No one ever consulted with us about the increase in cost. They also leave an annoying little sign in the yard that I have to throw away. When we developed a dead patch of grass, Fairway took weeks to come check it out then did nothing to fix the problem. We cancelled their service, and our lawn looks just fine without them.
