American Pest Control

We had been a long-time customer of American Pest Control. They did outside inspections for termite damage each year. This year they required us to have a new system (Sentricon®) installed for them to continue to provide termite inspections and bond. We set up a Saturday appointment, but their agent came unannounced the day before, blocked our driveway with his truck, and began to dig on our property. I dismissed the agent for being there on the wrong day and told his office to send another tech at the correct appointment time the next day (Saturday). They were unable to do that and suggested Saturday, August 6 instead. We said we’d think about it. Despite this, we were phone-messaged on Aug. 5 about our “Aug. 6 appointment,” to which we replied requesting to cancel. Despite this, a tech appeared at our door the morning of August 6! They thus trespassed on our property twice, blocked our driveway, and fabricated an appointment. Because they violated our premises by coming on the wrong day and at the wrong time, we decided to engage a different company.

Phillip is awesome. He always keeps in touch and follows up regularly. He gives advice on how to help keep the pest population down. We added the mosquito treatment and it has been wonderful, we can enjoy our yard and deck again.

Mark was great. He's extremely knowledgeable and professional and gave us a lot of great advice to deal with our pest problem. He was prompt, thoroughly inspected problem areas and sprayed accordingly. Above all, he put our minds at ease over the situation. We had our crawl space encapsulated by American Pest Control. They gave us a free inspection and quote before doing the work, and once the work began they were fast and professional. I didn't even know they were there most days, and I was working from home. They knew that I was concerned during the pandemic, and they always wore masks when coming to our house, whether we were talking in close distance, or they were just in and out. Before the project, we had 90%+ humidity in our crawl space. We couldn't store anything in there, and I was always worried that there could be issues with mold and moisture. Since having the work done there's relatively no humidity in the space. I know there's no mold, all is dry, and we have plenty of space to store holiday decorations.

American Pest Control just finished cleaning out and encapsulating my crawl space, and wow - they did an amazing job! From the proposal to the finish line - everything was very professional and completed on time. My crawl space went from being a weak characteristic of my house to a strength. We are extremely pleased with their work - both the performance and the value. For anyone dealing with crawl space concerns, I would highly recommend this group.

Do not call! Technician left the house without completing the service and left the front door open without stating he was leaving. Upon calling, the company stood by the technician stating I had to find another service. Very, very, very poor treatment of customers on the West side.
