Venables Pest Management

I contacted Venables and they sent a technician the next day. He spent a long time checking my whole house even though I only heard one sound.He identified a number of problems and even told me about an issue with my heating duct that they don't deal with. He submitted a very thorough report and an incredibly reasonable bid.I had issues 7 years ago so I knew how expensive it could be.Everyone I spoke with was extremely kind and thoughtful. I would highly recommend this company to anyone. They even will come out in a week at no extra cost to check the traps to make sure everything is taken care of. As a Senior widow I have had other companies try to take advantage of my vulnerabilities. Venables staff were all thorough and didn't try to overcharge me.I will use them again.

Was home all morning. Technician came out, didn't ring the bell, no acces to garage or backyard. Yet billed us for a full visit. Time to hire another company. Unfortunate as we've used them for years. Still waiting, one week later for a response. 👍

They came out to do an underhouse treatment. There was some confusion after about a few details and I have to say Will & Jeff were so repsonsive and understanding about my concerns. They made a 2nd trip to answer all of my questions. A+ service. Thank you for showing such care, not only about my home, but my peace of mind. Well done Venables.

Marranda went above and beyond—not only did she remove a yellow jackets nest on short notice, but she also took the time to educate us about different types of pests and the pros and cons of various pest control methods. Her knowledge and professionalism really stood out, and we felt genuinely cared for throughout the entire process. I really appreciate Garret in providing information about paper wasps and, about being on the lookout for any yellow jacket activity in the ground areas due to the mild winter (with little freeze) conditions. I've had the distinct privilege of having the best Pest Management company in the state, that being Venables. Several years ago, deer mice invaded the walls in my home. Joe came out and put out traps, and they caught several. He then put out more, showed me where they were getting in (believe it or not, they were jumping up into the corner piece of our vinyl siding) and the noises stopped. Today, years later, I had him and his apprentice, Jeremy, to advise me on the mice that have destroyed the wiring harness in one of my trucks, and nested in the engine air filter compartment in another. And his advice is trap, trap, and trap, and use lights under our vehicles and in the engine compartment. That's what I like about Venables. Technicians like Joe take the time to really examine the situation and make suggestions. And it works. They went under my house today and the traps that Joe had put out years ago? Not a mouse in them. Venables is the kind of business that you hope you don't ever need to call, but when you have to, don't call anyone else. Just call Venables. They're the absolute best. We have used Venables for many many years, and are SO lucky to have this local resource! Due to the property, house, wildlife, vegetation needs, and our own standards and needs, we have been able to control any problems here and keep as much of the self-mitigating balance that nature provides. We have had to use very little chemicals, and NO inhumane means to control any issues and this is way more healthy for us! When we bought this place, Venables helped advise on some corrections to be made to stop mice from getting in. They got in the crawl space and scoped out what was going on for us. They told us about some drainage issues. We had a company correct those things. Once mice were keep out, the local owls and hawks took care of things. We still have them service some “instant death” (snap type) mouse traps down there, although it is few that get in. For maybe a year or two now, Garrett has been coming to do the service calls, and he is a FABULOUS resource. Very knowledgeable of insect, animal, chemical interactions. And very knowledgeable of seasonal behaviors in insects and animals, and how to utilize those in pest control! We have a lot of native frogs around, and last year we had to deal with Carpenter Ants getting to close to the house with some getting inside. Due to exterior renovations going on at the time, I could not try re-routing them (I also considered using one of the local garden snakes or lizards (yes!)- but construction made that impossible). It became necessary to use some chemical control, but he used the best possible one, the least feasible, AND the application pattern of it, to help protect the frogs yet still be effective. It worked! He advised adding another service level to our contract and we certainly did. On his last service visit we talked planning for the upcoming awakening of critters in the spring. Venables is far beyond a “pest control” company. They have a large knowledge base. They can customize and think outside the box. I don’t think the star rating here goes high enough to do them justice.

We have been longtime customers and will continue to be. Today I was SO excited with my tech Mirandas visit. My first time meeting her and she is great! Only made better when I found out Venables is donating $2 per visit to Concern For Animals as a way to support Giving Tuesday. Way to go!!!!!!!!!!

After a nightmare surprise years ago where we moved into a house with a secret and invisible rat mite issue, we have relied on Venables for keeping our family free of rats in a neighborhood with bad issues due to locals keep chickens. They have been punctual, on top of it, and excellent in communicating. A recent visit by technician Matt had particularly good service, going the extra mile, which motivated me to give this review. They're good folks.

I am always pleased to see Codi come down my driveway. He is personable, kind and I appreciate the good work he does around my house and yard and the tips/suggestions he has for me - pouring boiling water down the drain has already made a difference in the number of fruit flies.

I always get great information about what is going on with anything around or under my house and useful hints about anything I might bring up to the technician about things that may be happening in the house (gnats, sugar ants, etc.)

Venables always goes above and beyond my expectations. Each technician to come out to our home has been professional, attentive, and listens to any of my concerns I may have at the time. Thank you for keeping our home pest free!

Made appointment for inspection back on 7/15 for the following Friday. No phone call as promised and a a no show for that appt??

If their drivers can't be safe on the road how good are they!! Going 15 under, all over the road, and on there phone!! They should practice good driving with their service

My mother has called 3 different times to get help and each time told that the "sales guy" would call and this has never happened. That is not the kind of reliability we look for in a professional.
