Joel is an encyclopedia of information on all things pest related and, as I have come to find, knows more about home construction than most contractors I've dealt with. I originally came across Joel when I needed someone to do mold remediation as part of an insurance rebuild. I mentioned to him that the crawlspace beams also had an unknown amount of beetle damage and he recommended a combined mold-insect pest product that would address everything for one reasonable price. He was also able to replace/reinforce each beam that had beetle damage and did some other needed crawlspace work. I discovered that he also did insulation work and hired him to replace all the insulation in the crawlspace and the gutted house. Along the way, he also was able to do other miscellaneous work as part of the rebuild. In retrospect, I wish I had him do more of the rebuild since his work was of better quality than that of many of the other contractors I used. He is not satisfied with a task until it is completed to his high standards. Joel is the "hidden gem" among home contractors in the OP.

As Full time RVers, we unknowingly picked up some hitchhikers (rats) along the way, causing a great deal of damage and frustration. We called Olympic Pest Control and Joel came by the same day. He was very knowledgeable and explained everything and assured us that everything could be fixed. We felt very comfortable in his competency. Thankfully, we had insurance and Joel worked seamlessly with the adjuster to begin the claim. In just a few days, we were well on our way to a rodent free life and under budget too. We were glad to know that in addition to pest control, Joel is also a licensed contractor, and he did an outstanding job on the repairs. We asked him to do some additional work while he was here, and he didn't disappoint. He takes pride in his work and made certain that all was done to top standards before calling the job complete. We highly recommend Olympic Pest Control.

Working with Joel is awesome. Very knowledgeable, easy to work with and really cares about doing a good job for the customer. We just moved to Port Angeles and found out we had a serious rodent issue. Joel quickly cleaned up our existing pest problem and worked with us to prevent any future pest problems. Joel is very good at explaining why something is going on and what the fix is. We are never in the dark as far as issues and what the fix for those issues are. An offhand comment by Joel that he was also a general contractor led us to call him recently when one of the pipes in a wall of our house sprung a leak. Joel came out on a Sunday evening and made sure the pipe was fixed and that we would have water. We can't recommend Joel and Olympic Peninsula Pest Control highly enough. Do yourself a favor and call Joel for your pest problems.

We had a swamp under our house and a huge colony of various rodents had taken over. Joel took pictures of everything he found and explained exactly what he could do to fix the problem, and he did fix it beautifully (with pictures along the way)! He cleaned out all the debris, humanely eliminated the non-paying squatters, closed up any and all access points to prevent future infestation, removed and replaced all the insulation and purchased and installed a pump to keep it dry. I can’t say how pleased we were. Professional, timely and over all an excellent experience. Thank you Joel.
