The things Aptive has going for it : 1. Communication. They text and email so you don’t forget your appt. 2. The techs are professional and cordial My issues with Aptive are: 1. Their door to door sales men don’t really explain what each level of membership means. 2. You never have the same tech so you always have to explain your space and bug issues. 3. My biggest Peeve: They do not give you a specific time or time window on your appt day so you are strapped to your house.

The rep said he sprayed around the house for waterbed/cockroaches. I had ground bees I needed managed which I told him by text and in person. Your representative said that you don’t handle bees & that our property is too close to the water for chemicals. Couldn’t you remove the nest? I’ve had three yard helpers refuse service because of those bees. I specifically asked the rep twice to go into the second room in the basement to check the mouse and rat traps. He did not. He identified a dead mouse in the basement and showed me but did not remove it.

However, we do offer services for wasps, yellow jackets, hornets, and mud daubers. Ultimately, our professionals cannot take any active stinging pest nests with them, as they pose a serious hazard while driving. <br><br>You are also correct that, for legal reasons, we must maintain a distance of at least 30 feet (sometimes further) from any standing water, depending on local and state regulations. They trick you into a 2 year commitment and then do a crap job. Literally watching the guy right this moment sit in his van listening to music after doing a quick walk around the house, skipping detached garage and not doing anything else with yard. 5 minute treatment, 15 sitting in van just to say he was here. The treatments do work when they do a thorough spray but completely hit or miss as to what kind of worker you get each time. Save your money!

I wasn’t home and didn’t know you were coming. I’m not sure exactly what you did, since the backyard door was locked and the front of my condo involves 1 door and 2 walls. The garage door was closed. What exactly did you do to justify a $100 charge?

The person who came was very nice and professional but couldn’t perform a full service due to the weather. I need to scheduled a re-application appointment.
They get you to sign a contract, promising the world. They showed up once for the initial treatment and then said they came back, but the cameras didn’t show them nor did I hear them and I was home when they “came”. Then you are stuck paying off the initial discount. Your credit card will not help either since you signed a contract. STRONGLY recommend NOT to even talk to them!

Horrible customer service. When we signed up for the service we were told we could cancel at any time with no cancelation fee and did not see any such fee when we signed the contract. After a couple of months of the service not working we decided to cancel instead of throwing $75 a month away on a service that was not working. When I called to cancel was told I was being assessed a $199 early termination fee and then then charged me my monthly $75 on top of it and hang up on me every time I call to try and get it resolved. Do not do business with this company. They will only come between 8-5 Monday through Friday which is great if you do not work but if you do they do not accomodate.

I would give 0 stars if I could. Aptive is a complete scam. A salesperson came to our door promising thorough lawn treatment, spider control “at the source,” and regular removal of webs. In reality, technicians spent less than five minutes at our property and only removed webs during the very first visit. We signed a one-year contract under the impression we would be billed quarterly and that all interim services were included. Instead, we were charged $139 every single visit—seven times in 12 months. I am currently disputing those extra charges. On top of that, at least five scheduled appointments were complete no-shows. I would call to reschedule, only for the same thing to happen again. Completely unreliable and dishonest. My advice: avoid Aptive at all costs.

I wouldn’t recommend to anyone im stuck in a contract for a service that does nothing to the bugs in my yard. If you sign up it has a 300 dollar cancellation charge. When they come they dont leave any trace that they had been there so you dont really know if they came or not

This company is without a doubt, the worst customer service I have experienced in this area. I paid for a contracted service that was only performed once, despite multiple scheduled appointments. They fail to notify you before they don't show and they arbitrarily schedule appointments that they then cancel. The company is 100% focused on selling contracts that you have to pay to cancel ($199 cancellation fee) and not performing the contracted service. Do not listen to the salesperson and read the full contract...buyer beware.

7/22/25 Service tech comes out let my mother know that they can’t do the inside due to the sprayers are broke. This is the first service and this is the reason why we got the service so I don’t understand why it’s not unacceptable to make sure that your equipment is working properly before you come out to a home. The tech did do the outside of the home but could not do the inside and we had to call and have it rescheduled to come. To do the next day Hopefully this one works when they come out. I did talk to someone on the phone thankfully he put me on stat so that we can get service tomorrow7/26/25
