My experience was unpleasant from the moment Gary answered the phone until the call ended. I was unable to finish asking basic questions about the company’s services or request a potential estimate without being met with a condescending tone. He was rude and unprofessional, which made me uncomfortable moving forward with this business. This is not a company I would use or recommend. First impressions matter, and unfortunately this one was a poor experience.

Gary is the best - I’ve had him come out to assess a major rat problem I was having. He was not only able to remove the rats but also was able to secure the two areas they were getting through from! Above that he’s a kind human being who is responsive and helps walk you through all the recommended options to protect you and your home! A true legend, and while I hope I don’t have any critters playing around in the attic again - I’d call Gary again in a heart beat!

Despite the fact that he was very busy, Gary worked us into his schedule, found where rodents were getting into the house, trapped one, and sealed up the entrance. He also cleaned out and rodent-proofed our dryer vent. We know we can depend on him.

We initially engaged a more traditional pest control company to address the raccoons residing in our attic. They set up traps, but weren't able to catch anything. Once we learned that a mama raccoon had delivered babies, we quickly searched for another company that was more specialized in this area. We found Gary, and we are glad that we did! Gary went above and beyond coming out to our house proactively and retrieving multiple baby raccoons. Once the job was finished, he replaced our soffit vents and even found a paint color to match our house without us asking. On top that, he charged a very fair price. I would definitely commend Gary to anyone who needs help with raccoon removal.

I had a squirrel problem in my attic that after all kinds of live baiting I was unable to solve. I hired a major pest control company who failed to complete the job, and after handling that called Gary. Gary showed up the next day and immediately started investigating. It took us a few days to determine how the squirrels were getting in but Gary figured it out and resolved the problem when literally nobody else was able to. He was checking my roof daily (including on Saturday) and his price was much lower than any competitors.

My husband discovered droppings in our attic so we called a large pest control company that we have also used for spraying. They came out gave us a bid with the plan consisting of trap with poison, removal of droppings and mesh to close up holes. Their price seemed very high and we weren’t convinced it was a long term solution. My real estate agent referred us to Gary. My first conversation with him was highly informative. Based on our description, Gary shared the likely culprits, how he would handle each situation and it all made perfect sense. He proceeded with a plan that was both humane and successful and over several visits (as many as necessary) he solved the problem. He also had a metal shop form pieces specifically for the vulnerable areas for a permanent solution. No mesh for Gary! He is a pleasure to work with and his pricing was extremely fair and reasonable……a bargain considering all he did! Thank you Gary……we appreciate your work and your consistent communication. I can't express enough how grateful I am to have found Austin Wildlife! For the past six months, our attic has been overrun by squirrels, causing all sorts of havoc and waking us up in the early morning. Despite trying various tactics on our own, nothing seemed to work. In desperation, we contacted Austin Wildlife, and within 24 hours, Gary caught the first culprit, who turned out to be a mother squirrel. But the exceptional service didn't stop there. Over the next week, Gary managed to capture four babies, effectively resolving the infestation that had been plaguing our home. Gary came by first thing this morning after I called yesterday afternoon about a bird stuck in our dryer vent. By the time he got here the bird had found it’s way out, but he took his time clearing out any nest material, and putting in a temporary mesh to keep the bird from coming back. He also helped clear out general lint as a bonus. He was very professional and easy to work with and I would absolutely hire him again.

Gary is awesome! He's honest, fairly priced, highly experienced, and he thoroughly solved our problem. He provided straightforward up-front pricing, never tried to up-sell us, and tried the least expensive options first. He showed up every time he said he would, on time, with advance notice. I highly recommend Gary, without reservation! Based on some of the terrible reviews I read for Gary's competitors, and not having experience using these types of services, I braced myself for unexpected charges and unreliable service. But I'm happy to have been completely wrong with Gary. When I first called Gary, he returned my call immediately and explained in detail the behaviors of the problem animal and gave me suggestions to attempt solve the problem on my own. For me, it spoke volumes for his character that he tried to help us out even if meant no payment. On the first visit, Gary inspected the entire outside of the house, including the roof (using his own ladders), and he identified the potential problem spots right away. When he told me that some of these animals can fit through a two inch gap, I realized how important it is to have a trained eye with several decades of experience diagnosing these problems. He was able to do follow-up visits completely outside the house, requiring no disruption to our schedule. While some situations may require simple removal, our situation required him to ensure the persistent "visitors" were humanely out of all the attic spaces before all the entrance points were fully closed. It was clear that he would return as many times as needed to complete the job. It was a pleasure to work with Gary. While I hope to not need his services again, he would certainly be my first call.

Edit Aug 3, 2022: ----------------------------- Saw some more Armadillo activity and had to call Gary. He was nearby came and gave me insight into what is happening. He told me to wait a couple of weeks, after it had rained to see whether the issue still exists. Kudos to him for not trying to unnecessarily set up traps and charge for those. If you are having wildlife issues in your property, call Gary. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Gary really knows this stuff. He is upfront about the costs and in between will also tell you when stopping may be a good idea. I employed services of a big name company and they caught everything other than what was causing the problem. Gary pointed to me a crucial mistake which they were making and in one day he caught the source of the problem. He is quite clear that in an open area, especially around this time of the year, these problems will continue to recur. Also, the fact that even though he puts up cages, we may not catch anything. He sets the expectations clearly, not oversell to get the business. Thank you Gary!

Gary came out after ours on a Friday evening to help remove a sick raccoon from our property. He was very humane, efficient, nice and knowledgeable. I highly recommend Gary’s services.

If you ever need help removing wildlife, Gary is your guy! I noticed a pretty pungent smell coming from under my deck and found Gary online. He came out the same day and diagnosed the problem. Within 20 minutes he had pulled up several boards on my deck, found the dead raccoon, retrieved the dead raccoon, put it in his truck, and screwed the boards back in. Not to mention, his prices can't be beat. While I hope I don't have to deal with dead animals on my property anytime soon, I know that if I do I will absolutely call Gary.

Gary is excellent. He got immediate results trapping the raccoon in our attic and disposed of it. Then he verified there were no more raccoons around before sealing the hole where they entered.

The ONLY wildlife service worth using in Austin. I've used a number of services over the years, Gary is the BEST. The other guys all charge a lot more and none of them ever solved the problems. It got to the point where I just learned how to do everything myself, and I got better results than most of the licensed "pros". Then I called Gary, he is much better than me at trapping animals. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Gary.

Gary is the best! We had a pesky raccoon in our attic and Gary was able to successfully remove it. In the very first phone call he was up front in his pricing. He came out the next day to survey the situation and come up with a plan. At first we didn't succeed, but he came by everyday to check in with me and figure out alternative methods. He told me that he has been at this for over 20 years and it shows in how knowledgeable he was about our situation. After removing the raccoon he even helped me put up a new soffit vent that was critter proof. Highly recommend!

Gary was beyond wonderful! When we closed on a home, we learned the house had some sort of wildlife activity in the attic. We had a few companies come out and give us quotes -- many wanted to charge us insane amounts for live trapping and sealing up roofing joint holes with foam instead of sheet metal. Gary was clearly the most knowledgable of any of the folks we talked to from other companies, and his price was beyond reasonable. He also educated us in the process about how to keep our home safe from other pests and wildlife. Also - we were impressed at how humane his methods were. We hope we never have a wildlife problem again, but if we do, we will absolutely be giving Gary another call, and recommend him to anyone having a wildlife issue.
