Absolutely love this shop! I can not recommend them enough!!! Shannon took her time with me on the phone and thoroughly explained their processes. I had an issue with rodents getting into my attic and she sent technicians right away to inspect and they were very thorough and gave me peace of mind. They were honest and very helpful. Other companies had told me I needed to replace all my insulation and it was going to be thousands of dollars, but Shannon insured me that they would solve the problem in an affordable and sound way. She also helped me in store to purchase some of the items to diy to eliminate some of the extra cost for the exclusion service. Thank you so much Shannon and team for saving us and being a forever trusted business.

I started hearing sounds in my attic when the ice/snow came around this year. My partner and I never dealt with attic critters before and were freaked out after doing research on how fast they could multiply! We call a pest control company recommended in DFW local reddits, and they highly recommended The Pest Shop for faster service since they're booked for months. We worked with Shannon (project manager) and Talon, and both were so friendly and thorough. Their overall price was the most reasonable among all the pest control companies we called for the "whole package" (exclusion to seal access points, attic abatement and insulation sanitization, and bait stations to reduce population/deter new rodents). Talon was so thorough with his work and found so many areas on our roof and exterior walls where rodents chewed through or could enter. He carefully sealed each one so the patching matched my home appearance, and he cleaned up very well after each visit. By the second visit, we had 2 huge rats terminated by the bait stations/traps. After reading that some people spend a fortune with no visible results, we are more than happy with The Pest Shop! We no longer hear critter patters in our attic and feel pretty good about keeping new ones away with the bait stations around our house, sealed holes, traps in the attic, and the included work guarantee/warranty. Huge thanks to Talon for his friendliness and great work. Highly recommend using The Pest Control for fast rodent control!!! The sooner you act, the less damage the rodents do to the interior of your home and the less mess they leave in your attic.

Stopped in for help with a gnat problem in my apartment and couldn’t be happier with the service. They were knowledgeable, took time to explain everything, and recommended the right solution. The products were high quality and I saw results within a week — now the gnats are completely gone. So thankful I found them. Highly recommend!

Stopped by the McKinney store on a Saturday for the first time and the team listened and helped me choose DIY products. Their advice improved what I had already done. We still had issues, so I scheduled service and they responded fast. The technician confirmed my DIY work, fixed what I missed, and showed me how to improve going forward. Communication stayed clear the entire time and follow up on next steps came the same day. Everything felt coordinated between the store and service team and I would use them again.

Had a good experience with Shannon. Though the shop didn't have the spefcific Insecticide I was looking for, Shannon was helpful in proposing similar alternatives. She made sure to be thorough in her explanations, and seemed to be a genuinely helpful person, who was eager to share the knowledge she has.

They were extremely informative and helped me find products without feeling like I was being bothersome. He even told me I could request products because my fiance worked in pest control. They have everything you'll need! Glad I found them!

Purchased 4 Rodent bait stations and poison on Nov 11 2025 - placed three around house and one by the pool equipment - as of Nov 16 found one dead rat at the side of the house and one large dead rat by the equipment - never had any poison work so well and fast - EXCELLENT PRODUCT - the stuff at the big box stores were non-effective and waste of money

I had excellent service by Talon. He went the extra mile and got all of my cobwebs in and out of my house. He gave me excellent customer service. I highly recommend this company.

Was very disappointed this visit. In the past staff had been very helpful. I understand there was only one person. He should at least try to make an effort to acknowledge my interest in a purchase. If I had time I would have waited but there is a limit of patience. Profits are great, the help not so much.

Their r 2 shops one is in Plano where I went got the pest control from them and sprayed it every day for 3 days nothing happened to the mosquitoes

I bought 2 products at this store based on the recommendation from the store employee. Was fighting ants for 2 months without any results. Ants keep getting inside the house. I wanted to return the products because they are expensive and cost around $70 for both, but was told that this store has no refund policy which I was not aware about. I wanted to talk to the owner and the store employee told me to call or come the next day between 10 am and 12 pm. When I called the next day at the time given, I was told that there is no owner at the store and try the next day. I tried several times along with my wife, but every time we called we were told that the owner is not available and that we do not know how to use the product. I am sure we can push the nozzle in the spray can and spread granules around our house. I was told to reapply both products, so we kept reapplying every week and after every time it rained. Both products do not work and we are out of $70.

It is hard to give a score. The staff is nice. But the price is crazy. I paid $69.95 for Demon Max 16 oz, which Amazon has it around $25. I understand that this price including service and the knowledge. But I won't come back for the same product. Because I have the knowledge now, until it comes a different situation.

I share similar thoughts to Ryan's feedback. Service was fine but the prices are marked up like crazy! I purchased "Onslaught Fast Cap" for a little over $100 dollars with tax. I found the same product at online pest control retailers for $52.00 and on Amazon for $67.82. I understand for prices to be a bit more versus online but the difference is too significant for me to ever come back or recommend this pest shop. I felt swindled. I did read the response from the owner that he had for Ryan. So I brought the one star to a three star. I appreciate the owner taking the time to respond to feedback and caring what is being said about his business. As a consumer and probably most average consumers, we are always seeking for the best deal and lowest prices. The prices here are high dollar but at least you will get expert advice and service with it.

I have made purchases from The Pest Shop several times over the years for various pest problems (ants, roaches, termites). Such is life as a Texas homeowner, no? I agree with all of the 5-star reviews in that the staff is extremely knowledgeable, there are no high-pressure sales tactics, and they offer professional-grade products that are not available at the big box stores. The issue I have is with their pricing and return policies. You'll notice when you walk in that there are no price tags on anything. You have to ask or wait and find out at checkout. After making my last purchase, I decided to do some online research about the application of the product. I discovered that the $90 bottle I'd been sold could be purchased on Amazon for $40. (Taurus SC 20oz) Now I'm not saying I expect this place to offer Amazon prizing. I value the 5-minute consultation and feel it should be compensated. I want to support small, local businesses and am willing to pay a modest premium to them. But 125% is not a modest premium to me. I was left feeling sorta ripped off. That brings me to their return policy. It's printed on the receipt, which for some reason is labeled as an invoice. (Aren't invoices customarily received before you pay rather than after?) It stipulates "All sales of chemical based products are final." Shouldn't you be told prior to making a purchase that whatever you're probably buying cannot be returned for refund? Seems to me they intentionally conceal their pricing and return policies. I like the place otherwise and feel they offer a great resource. I just wish they were more transparent in their dealings with customers.
