We started services with this company earlier this year after finding different wolf spiders inside our home. They were quick to help us and we hadn’t had any issues. We signed a 1 year contract. However, after being serviced last month, we found a black widow with an egg in our patio days after their service. We called and they sent someone out to treat again. However, the person only spent about 2 min in our yard and less than a month later, we found another black widow while trying to enjoy our patio. Our patio is clean and free of clutter, so with also professional services, we didn’t expect to see another. I have sent an email and have called 3 times this week asking for them to fix the situation and give us a refund, but we have not been addressed by a manager who can help reprimand the situation. Super terrible follow up and services. Don’t waste your money and go with another company who will follow up and address your needs professionally.
Technician was professional & polite. Unfortunately the product used is poor quality as the spiders were not exterminated and I requested a follow up treatment in the first week after treatment. Even after this, the insects returned within a month. After paying $150 for a one time guaranteed treatment i feel i should warn others to follow up with in the month multiple times as the global company will not provide follow up treatment after that time frame even when the insect problem wasn’t taken care of in the first place. If you’re looking for a one time quality and effective treatment/product this is not the place to go.
Update 8/26/2020 After informing the district manager of the live bugs, he agreed to cancel our service without charging the cancellation fee. Absolutely horrible service. When we moved into our home, I saw a roach crawling across the floor so I immediately called Orkin. They serviced us for a year and in that time, I did not see a single bug ANYWHERE. Not even in the glue traps they set. I canceled the service because I thought we were fine and it was expensive. One month after canceling, I saw a roach in my driveway while taking out the trash. That is the only bug I saw. I wanted to be proactive so I called pest defense and signed a year contract because they had good reviews and were cheaper. They came and spent a good amount of time spraying the house. Immediately after, roaches popped up everywhere along with earwigs and spiders IN my house where I hadn’t seen a bug since when I initially hired Orkin. I had to call them out to respray THREE times because I kept seeing live bugs of all different kinds that I had never seen before and was kind and patient each time (even waiting a week between calls). My husband deployed and I went to stay with my parents for two months so I wasn’t able to monitor the bug activity. The day I got home there were cobwebs all over my house which I never had a problem with when we had Orkin. There were dead crickets, roaches and a ton of spiders in my garage and in the glue traps along with earwigs in my house traps. Frustrated with the fact that I’m paying this company to basically give me a bug problem while loading my house down with pesticides, I called and spoke with the district manager who was extremely rude (which is an understatement). He told me that my expectations are too high and they would have to put toxic waste around my house in order for me to not see any bugs. He said that because the bugs I’m seeing were dead, that he thinks they are doing an excellent job and I’m 2 weeks away from being due for a service so they can come spray again or I can pay $230 to get out of my contract. After being home for a couple days, I found 2 live spiders in their webs under my daughters playhouse where her sandbox is and an earwig crawled by me while playing in my daughters room on the floor. I will be calling tomorrow to inform the extremely rude manager that they are in fact NOT doing an excellent job. I’m sure he will tell me it’s because I’m due for a service even though I didn’t see a single bug in the whole year that I had Orkin. Note to self: don’t go for the cheaper company.
Signed up for a year service. Was suppose to get service last month but no one came out or did we get a call from them being understaffed or being unable to get someone out here. With finally recovering from C-Section, we noticed no one came out and we didn’t get a phone call. When I called about the service, they didn’t want to hold themselves accountable for the mistake on their end and tried blaming us. No apologies or anything... the gentlemen that come out to do the service are nice and caring. Wish I could say the same about the office people.
I called and told the lady I had an ant problem. After the lady saying it would be $139 with an $80 service every 2 months, I said I would look around. Lady then says $79.99 as I'm a new customer. I tell her I'm ok with the price but only for this one time.So the guy shows up to my house with a contract obliga ting me to pay $80 every 2 months after as well.
Called the other day as services were needed; information would be "forwarded to a technician," and I'd be recieving a call. No callback. Service was taken care of by another (professional) company, that actually returned my call :)
After two month of giving me the run around and almost $600.00 later, this company made my pigeon infestation worse. They charged me almost $600.00 for bait, which actually brought more pigeons to my house. When the bait didn't work, the tech offered to sell me more bait...I regret ever calling this company.
If I didnt had to give a star I really wouldn’t!This company is just horrible! I really don’t recommend it!! Be careful on what you sign and what they tell you if you decide to get this company for your pest control. They had said, they would do my pest control inside and outside every time when they had to do their service. On November of 2017 they said, they had gone by to do the service. Know one was at home at that time so how is it possible they did it. They were still charging me for pretty much not doing their job! And now they are saying they are sending me to collections!!! They are just thief’s! And I will make sure I spread this out more to family and friends if they dont stop threatening me to pay or that this will be sent to collections, for something that I didn’t even get my service done. I’m an extremely responsible and honest person and that’s why I dont like people taking advantage of others. So be careful people!!
Please be carful before signing a contract with them. I’ve had nothing but miscommunication from the moment I signed. I was offered a promotional rate for signing the 12 month contract and on first auto withdrawal was over charged, the amount was corrected but affected other transactions from my Bank account. Next had my routine pest control and not sure if I received a text reminder or not, either way I had no way to ask them to spray inside my home. When I called to schedule an appointment for inside pest control I was hassled by the manager on how they sent text messages and I was supposed to let them know at that time via text message. I wasn’t calling to argue with the manager simply was looking to schedule an appointment. He didn’t like that I didn’t follow there text message policy. When I asked to speak with someone else he stated he was the highest person I could talk to and continued to “explain” to me about how the text message was sent to me and how I need to make arrangements via that text message if I want inside pest control. From a company that has high claims on being the best I regret getting in bed with them for an entire year. Pest control shouldn’t have to be this hard, trust me, us home owners have bigger maintenance issues on our homes that require more attention. Be transparent and do as you say. If the owner of the company sees this please give me a call, I don’t do well with text messages. I still need pest control inside my home.
When a sales person came to my home, he offered to spray my home three times for a one time fee. He explained to my wife that if we didn't want to continue with there service no further payment would be needed. Then asked my wife to fill out some paperwork so that our information could be in their system. Told her to sign so that they could begin spraying. He didn't explain that she was entering a one year contract and that we would be billed later. I received an email later with a bill due for services. So I called them back and asked what is this bill due. They explained that we were in a one year contract with them and had to pay the bill or it will be sent to the credit bureau. Don't trust the sales person review all paperwork they give you.
