Edward, you expressed that you wanted a specific time for service to be completed but we explained we cannot accommodate that request. So many different things can happen while servicing a lawn which makes us unable to provide an exact time for any of our customers. I apologize if you feel there was any miscommunication. The gentleman that came over was polite, knowledgeable and explained everything to us. We waned to support local businesses and feel that we have made a good choice based off the professionalism he showed.

After using Lawn Doctor for several years, our grass is much improved with thicker grass, less weeds, and more stable growth. They contact us before each visit, provide good after-service reports and listen to our concerns. I highly recommend them.

I have been using Lawn Doctor since buying my home in April 2021. The service has been top notch. The office individuals are extremely professional and answer my questions right away without forwarding me to another person. Cody Schmidt has been treating our large lawn for bugs (including ticks, fleas, and mosquitoes) since day 1. He’s friendly (greats me with a smile), efficient, and professional. He works with me to ensure the treatment protects our dogs. He’s always willing to change up areas if needed. We had Brandon Suggs help us with a total renovation of our front yard. Again, greeted me with a smile and explained exactly how the process works. He came back about a month after killing all of the weeds and what little grass we had. The 2nd part was a power seeding to restart our yard. I had to have him come a 3rd time to reseed some bald areas. Again, friendly, professional, and he talked with me about creating a lush lawn. I plan to continue using Lawn Doctor as I have the same service techs with each call. They know my lawn and lawn issues. Highly recommend Lawn Doctor.

I've tried another lawn service. It really wasn't true, and it wasn't green. I switched and I got courtesy calls to tell me that Lawn Doctor is coming. Lawn Doctor shows up when they say they're going to. When they're done, they use a blower to clean off the driveway and sidewalk. They get results. They offer tips. I've got one of the the thickest and greenest lawns in our neighborhood-there are only two other lawns in the neighborhood that are even close, and they use Lawn Doctor too. I don't hesitate to recommend them. My specialist is Justin Clinard, he stops to talk, taking the time to ask if I have any questions or concerns.

Have been a loyal Lawn Dr client for 15 years. Every year they have over-seeded our yard. This year I slipped up and did not call up to schedule. When I realized I did not have an over-seeding scheduled I called and to get on the schedule. They told me I was too late and would let me know if and they got a cancellation.I called today again but no cancellations. The lady said they could not help me this year. So much for customer loyalty. Since the Lawn Dr business was sold a few years ago the quality has gone way down and service has sucked. On several occasions they over-sprayed chemicals one our flower beds and killed flowers and plants. With so many other lawn services in this area I would stay away from Lawn Doctor Murfreesboro.

Mr. Smith, We certainly do apologize for not being able to get your lawn seeded this year. We are only able to seed so many lawns per year. This year that number was tight due to the employment issues we are dealing with. Our seeding services have always been 'first come-first serve' and we don't want to spend your money without your knowledge so that is why we can't just go ahead and seed for you. We start scheduling our seeding services around February each year and we send multiple emails and the Lawn Care Check-ups to help remind you that seeding is recommended. *Don’t use if you have Bermuda grass!* We have been using this company for our weeds and fertilizer. We scheduled them to come do aeration and seeding since they already work on our lawn and know what type of grass it is, so we thought. The post card they send prior to the service says to cut the grass to 1 1/2 “ and to water well. It’s been raining for days now so the night before we went out there to cut 1 1/2 inches and made sure there was no clumps in the grass and we did this most of the evening in the rain. We had a gut feeling that maybe we should email them to make sure they are doing the correct seed since we have Bermuda grass. Thankful we did because 7am that morning the company called us saying we don’t have Bermuda seed. We are still trying to wrap our heads around how they work on our grass for almost a year now and they don’t know what type of grass we have. They were going to come out and lay fescue seed if we hadn’t emailed them! It was a waste of our evening getting our lawn ready according to their standards and we butchered our lawn so it was prepared for them according to their policy! We are canceling their service right away since we don’t trust them with our lawn. We feel they do not care to invest in their customers and treat us with care. Also, they lady we spoke to was not very apologetic or understanding of our frustration. Update: called to cancel and the lady who called us before hung up on me (I was calm and direct on what we wanted). I called back to ask for a manager to make sure everything was canceled successfully. The manager closed our account and confirmed everything was successfully done but she made sure I knew her staff would never hang up on me and we should have known about the seed they lay assuming we wanted to mix our seed (they did not communicate this prior to service) and we should know when our seed needs to be laid (which is why we hired them to help us). I felt like that wasn’t helpful for me as the customer and made me feel like I was at fault. (Pictures are before and after we butchered our lawn to prepare for aeration and seeding. Mind you, Bermuda takes some time to get it to healthy and green but is easy to maintain once it’s there.)

Hi Kailee, We certainly do apologize for the miscommunication. We only seed with Tall Fescue, as that is the type of seed that does best in the climate we live in. Put in a request for aeration and re-seeding. Got contacted and the lady on the phone said we dont do any one time services and wanted to hang up instead of speaking with me. Great! I will find someone else.

I had employed Last Doctor since 2019 at my home. I had both grass control and shrub and tree service. I had been reasonably happy with their turf treatment, but I've had consistent issues with nutsedge in the late summer, and since they primarily use granules, I had real issues with weeds around the fence line/etc. Also, they treated my shrubs and trees, but I still had issues with plants being eaten and when I called they made it clear they didn't want to come out and perform another visit out of turn. Fast forward to just recently a week ago. I CAUGHT THEM coming to my house, charging me 109$ for doing literally NOTHING. I have them on camera when they pulled up, when he walked to the front door to leave the bill, and when they left. They were at my house for a total of 15 minutes and it took 5 minutes to get out of the truck. I called and they guy I spoke to was RUDE and DEFENSIVE, and said they should have hand sprayed for weeds. THEY DID NOT because my camera on my front porch did NOT show them in the yard. I caught them literally coming to my house and doing nothing and charging me 109$ and they got defensive with me? I don't CARE if you can't treat my lawn with fertilizer at peak summer, you SURE as hell better spray for weeds. I have suspected they have done this before but I have proof now. I can't TRUST THEM.

I have been using lawn doctor for most of this year and was itching to pull the trigger in having the lawn aerated and over seeded. They arrived with a handful of machines to ensure the job was done quickly and efficiently. The only issue I’m currently seeing is that the aeration is spotty. Some areas were done really well. Others not at all. I have quite a few bare spots on my lawn and it was pretty obvious where it was missed. As far as the overseeding goes, we have some spots that look beautiful and others that look like they were passed over. I can’t even call them to come redo the core aeration with all the new grass currently as I don’t want to destroy the job that was just done. Looks like I’ll have to wait for the spring, I just don’t want to pay twice to have the job done correctly.

Our front yard looks good. The back yard is very splotchy. I thought when we hired them (after they told us we needed to kill our yard and reseed) that they were going to fix my yard, and then we would just pay them to maintain it. The back yard never did come in as well as the front yard did. Twice, now, they told us we need to pay them to overseed. I don't want to pay them to seed it again; I already paid them once. The service guys are nice, but I don't feel like I got what I paid for. Also, after the grass came in, they said it needed lime. Again, seems to me that would've been part of putting in a new yard. The lady in the office told me that not every yard needs lime. I would think the lawn technician should have been able to tell me up front we were going to need lime. I just thought I was paying them for a new lawn. That was what I wanted. That is not what I got. I think 3 stars is generous.

Hello Laura! I wanted to reach out and apologize since you aren't 100% satisfied with your results. Mother Nature doesn't always work along with us so lawn treatments are certainly a process. The Murfreesboro manager, Michael, mentioned that we will be doing a touch-up seeding for you this fall to get the areas of concern under control. It does look like lime was recommended on your evaluation, lime is typically needed on most lawns in Tennessee since we do have red clay soil. It is a separate service, as our services are a la carte. If you have any other questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out. Again, we certainly do apologize that you have not been completely satisfied.
Enjoyed the technicians and the work they did. With that being said this has to be the worse customer service I've ever experienced. Technician accidentally left my gate open and my dogs got out and one got into a fight with another dog. I understand mistakes happen. With that being said we explained to customer service what happened and asked what are we expected to do if the other dogs owner sends us a bill for their dog being attacked. Their response was they're canceling our service. So basically everything's fine unless they mess up then they cut you loose so they don't have to take any responsibility. Sad I believed them to be a good company but from the experience I've had seems like they should rename themselves comcast for grass.

Hi Mr. Wilson, this is a very unique situation. Per our conversation on August 28th, 2019 - it was to our understanding that we were paying the vet bill. I could not keep your account because of the liability of your dog, I am sorry. We do not like canceling customers, however, the liability is too great.
Well, so far, I have just agreed to the work being performed towards the end of this summer. But, my communication with the Lawn Doctor folks has been excellent. I look forward to having a yard I can manage and be proud of. I have already talked about your services with a next door neighbor and he is excited to see how my yard looks as well - so hopefully, he might also become a future customer.
