Last year we moved into a new house that backs up to woods and got absolutely swarmed by stinkbugs one day in the late summer. The back of the house was covered with bugs, and it occurred to me that I’d found a lot of dead bugs inside that must have been from past years. I called Matt, wanting somebody independent and local rather than a big chain. He sprayed my house and shop and it seemed to help but I wasn’t 100% sure because the big swarm day had already passed. Fast forward to this year, I had him spray again a few weeks earlier and it *absolutely* helped. The stinkbugs have been swarming out of the woods for the last few days. My backyard looks positively biblical. But there are very few bugs on the house or shop and none inside so far. Burgin has friendly and prompt service and won’t sell you anything you don’t need. We are so impressed with the service we’ve received from Matthew at Burgin Pest Solutions! We were hearing the sound of a rodent inside the walls of our house. We were scheduled the next day for Matthew to come out and inspect. He did a thorough inspection of our attic and crawl space - over an hour- and determined where the activity was coming from, discussed solutions, and set up a plan accordingly. He returned two weeks later to follow up and secure the entry points. We have never heard the rodent sound again. A bonus is that we asked if he could do anything about the stink bugs we have been inundated with, thinking there was no solution as I’ve read they are very difficult to get rid of. He sprayed our windows and exterior perimeter and set us up on a quarterly schedule to control them as well as the rodent issue. We were capturing 5-6 of those bugs inside our house every day and could not sit outside without having them land on us. Since Matthew sprayed, we have not seen one inside the house and have not been bothered by them outside at all! We highly recommend Burgin Pest Solutions! Several years ago I had rats in my crawl space--very upsetting situation! Matt was fantastic in getting rid of them and keeping them at bay ever since with quarterly service. He is very knowledgeable about the breeding habits and lifestyle of various animals, and very competent. Matt is also easy to talk to. And although it turned out that I didn't have an insect problem, he spent time answering my numerous questions when I had a plumbing issue that I was worried was connected with flies. Whenever I have questions about anything, he always takes the time to patiently share his knowledge, which is considerable. His rates are also very reasonable, low even. I look forward to his visits every quarter and can highly recommend him. His wife, Shelly, is great too!
