Clegg’s Termite & Pest Control - New Bern

David is our new tech and we are very pleased! He did a very thorough spray, best we ever had! He is very congenial and we could not be more pleased with his service and knowing he will be our regular guy from now on.

Although we have yet to assess the effectiveness of the termite bait stations, the level of professionalism and thoroughness with which they were installed gives me confidence. This decision to go this route v. old company was the right one. Some shout outs...DJ to me is the face of Clegg's. He's a very caring man and he's genuinely concerned with protecting you and your home. DJ has a warm personality and his knowledge is superior. There's a woman in the office I don't know her name (she had red hair at the time) who is super friendly, a multitasker, and professional. She made sure to process my order and payment, keeping me informed along the way. She's definitely an asset to the Clegg team. One minor comment (probably not in Clegg's control)...the road to your office is in bad shape. Maybe all the businesses could pool equal shares of money to secure some repairs. Clegg's, I appreciate your service and your commitment to helping me keep my house termite free. Thank you!😊

I called Friday afternoon requesting a termite inspection on a house I was considering buying. DJ came Monday morning and checked the place with a fine tooth comb! Once we close, I’ll definitely be requesting DJ come back to provide ongoing termite treatment to keep our new home pest free! A+

I’ve been a customer for over a year. I’m done with this company. They did a good job getting rid of the ants but the technician is awful and kind of scary. First time in my home he was looking at my pictures and commenting about them. Then he asked me out on a date AFTER I told him I was involved with someone and very happy. He then wanted me to “let him know if it didn’t work out. It was extremely uncomfortable. Then I find out he did the same thing to a friend that lives nearby. Can you say CREEPY?! How do they vet these people? Update 12/24 he has flirted with another woman I know on her home! Made her very uncomfortable! Apparently this company is ok with his behavior

Customer service specialist was in Durham service is out of New Bern. The cust service specialist wrote down the information and said she would enter it and call me back, she had to be reminded what I had called about each of three times she called me back. I was given information that was not accurate and still did not get the service requested.

The local office and corporate scheduling office are not coordinated. Repeated calls to them asking to have this corrected did not result in any change. After using them for 7 years I've given up and changed companies.

If you ever had this company suggest a contractor to work on your house due to termite damage, please call another contractor to check there work.

In the text that came out were great the people were great but I have requested numerous times to help me get rid of the German roaches that are really bad and not one time did they help they only sprayed for the big bugs and I am very very displeased with this company

They couldn’t figure out what my insect problem was. They took a pillow off my couch and said they were gonna send it out to a lab in Raleigh to identify the insects, said it’d take two weeks for results. A week later when I was having more problems, they said they couldn’t figure it out and was gonna give me my money back. The same day, my pillow that I gave them, that they said they sent out, magically showed up on my door step. Still in the same bag I gave it to them in. They lied right to me. Absolutely would NOT recommend them to anyone. Oh yeah, the management didn’t even have the balls to call me.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! They say all the right things to get you to sign. But lies and do not deliver on their promise at least out of New Bern Office. I was to have a return trip to treat rodants and mice issues and tech said he would use foam around the water pipes in kitchen and bath and fill in cracks in back of cabinets (on initial visit)...but not done still have problem and called them back out. Again I mentioned the foam as the green packets put around did NOTHING. Not even a hole in them. I got "well you live near water so you are going to have roaches but they are not the bad kind." WHAT? any are bad to me with a severe phobia to them as well as rodents. Re mice what he tried the 1st time did not work...nor did preventing roaches in a still empty home. I hate to see what happens when I move in. Home has been empty for over 6 mos. He told me to "look up types of roaches to see what I have is not a festering kind." I have repeatedly told him I have a severe phobia due to living in an apt the landlord didn't care about. I also told him I lived in FL and after 1 treatment I never saw 1 roach get in my house. Couple dead rarely seen only on driveway. I am in a rental in Oriental now and it had rodant issues and roaches and after 1 treatment by Orkin I have not seen 1 or any rodant droppings. Tech from Cleggs said they may use something different. Just what a person wants to hear. He just left without a good by or an all set. I thought he was going to truck to get the foam he said he was going to do. My advice go with a company who cares about YOUR concerns. I feel ripped off. And problem NOT solved. I should have stuck with Orkin and will be calling them. Get what you pay for.

I filled out the questionnaire on the website for an inspection. I received a call and was given a date, time, and who was going to perform the service with an arrival time. No one ever showed up and did not receive a call regarding such.

Two words...Lazy crew.
