I hired them after hearing good about their service. Unfortunately, my experience was not so. They come and do the service but there's no one to talk to about any concerns. After calling a few times the manager assured me the tech would reach out while visiting, to address the issues. That never happened and my grass looks worse than when I started the service. I canceled the service and wouldn't recommend them to anyone. And you can forget about the non-existent 100% satisfaction guarantee.

Kevin Mintz, we regret to hear that you had a negative experience with us. When you joined us in May of 2023 we did inform you of a water retention problem on you side yard creating an issue. We did recommend addressing that in June with a landscaper/irrigation company and exchanged emails back and forth during that time. We also recommended in October an aeration and seeding that you declined. In some cases, fertilization and weed control can only do so much within a few months with us especially when seeding is recommended. We wish you luck in the future...
I am using them for over 10 years and every year I complain and then forget about it. This year I have been calling every second day the last four weeks and they keep on saying someone will take care of it. They asked maybe I should power seed again and when looking in the system they see I just power seeded in 2021. I am paying $589 a year and VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THE SERVICE….

After looking into this review, it appears that it is not from property owner. This review is from the owners "young" son who didn't know his father wasn't watering his lawn properly all summer and didn't realize the state is in a drought with water restrictions. We confirmed this on a call with the owner/father. Unfortunately, this review DOES impact on our overall score and as a family owned business it is disappointing. We asked the father if he could talk to his son to remove this misinformation but he didn't think that was possible.....
I hired Lawn doctor to spray for mosquitos and ticks. I asked them to give us notice before they came. Not only did they not give us notice, they didn’t even tell us they were on our property when they arrived. They sprayed all over our furniture and my child’s toys that were outside in the lawn. I called after the service, told them how unhappy I was and cancelled all future services. They showed up again today without any notice or notification that they were on my property. I was horrified to look out my window and see a stranger in my backyard unannounced. I had to run out mid spray to stop the guy and tell him all services were already cancelled. When I called to complain, I was told they had no record of me canceling. Very unprofessional and obviously do not care about their customers.

We are disappointed to hear that you did not have a more positive experience with us at Lawn Doctor of Lakewood-Jackson-Howell. In looking at the issue, our mosquito program is typically 5-7 services per season, not one. When giving pricing our process for 50 years has been to ask if call aheads are necessary for locked gates, pets or pools and in this instance a call ahead was not asked for. It looks like after one service we proceeded to do another service 2-3 weeks later which you cancelled while the person was on the lawn doing the spraying. While you were on the phone with our office manager you never mentioned anything in the above review nor did we have anything in our call center stating any of this. We strive to be the best family lawn care company and pride ourselves on communicating to our customers while giving great service. We would have loved to have had the chance to made your one experience with us better.
Unfortunately they put down too much pest control last time and it burnt most of my lawn. You can see the straight lines from the spreader. Very disappointed.
Sadly I have very little to show for their services. It's been 3 weeks and not much grass has sprouted. Today someone showed up and spent less than 10 minutes riding around my yard. I asked what he was doing and he told me fertilizing. Something he said they do every 6-8 weeks. Well they were here 3 weeks ago, why was today's service needed? I will most likely be cancelling this service soon.

The reason our technician was back so soon was to apply more crabgrass controls and fertilizer since you were a late spring start. We must not of communicated that well on our side. That would be the only reason we do services shorter than normal. Absolutely the worst !!! They will give your grass a fungus and then tell you it needs to be treated .

For the decades, we have provided our customers with the our best diagnosis and best solution to troubled lawns like yours. We do NOT give customers or potential customers lawns: weeds, disease, bugs nor fungus. Our goal is to make lawns green, thick and great; as close to a postcard as we can! Unfortunately, after a few months and couple treatments of service, we couldn't reach that goal for you. Sorry we couldn't help you. Thanks for giving us a try.
Their customer service is terrible. I've complained about something for over 6 weeks now. They dont even have the courtesy to call me back. All I always get is a promise that someone will call me back. That never happens. if you have an issue dont expect it to get resolved.

Mark Ribiat, we're disappointed to hear of the negative experience you had at our location. Our office manager did reach out to you multiple times to discuss the reported issue with your back yard and why it was bare. The solution was to seed the property due to foot traffic and erosion . There is a charge for this service. Seedings, aerations and many other repair services we offer, are in most cases, additional costs. Sorry for the miscommunications on the service solution.
I signed up with them for the summer package, and after few month my front yard is getting worse. (I should receive 5 treatment) I did better job myself. they skipped one month treatment during the hottest month and that destroyed my yard and now it has so much weed and crabgrass, brown/yelow spots all over. I guess I need to find a better reliable lawn company. I called and complained and no luck.

Amad Hamed, it's upsetting to hear that you did not receive the top-notch service we strive to provide. Looking at your file, we did visit with you in the fall of 2016 and spring of 2017 to put a plan together as the lawn needed topsoil and a good seeding. As we do our services on new customers lawns that have a tremendous amount of weeds, as those weeds die, we need to fill the gaps with new grass. Whether we do this or the homeowner, the idea is to get as many plants of good grass in your property to create dense turf. Without adding those seeds/plants, the lawn will look very sparse. If you need help in the future let us know.
