USX Pest Control - Pittsfield, MA

Switched from Fox Pest Control. I like that USX is smaller organization. I know the service technician who comes to my properties, and not a different person every time. If I have a problem I can text the technician, or go right to the manager. No leaving voicemails and getting a call back 47 hours later.

These people are very nice but never EVER notify you of when they are coming. I have asked to be notified ahead of their visit but they don't do that. They just expect you to be home. Email or phone call ahead or knowing the date of the month like third Wednesday or the 15th of every month would be good. Other than that, no complaints. The mice have not returned. They said they would notify me but never did. It is now 2 visits they just showed up when no-one was available. Nor have they made any attempt to reschedule to fulfill their contract with me.

Service is great. I like the detailed notes in the service report about the work that has been completed.

We have contracts with them for over two years and for two properties. Their premium service contract states 24 hr response to problems. They do not honor that in any way. It can take 7 or more days to get a visit for wasps or mice in the house—we experienced both. The service does not prevent problems and they do not respond quickly when they occur. BUT, better than Terminex.

These folks were reliable and good communicators about the process of getting rid of my rats (sigh). Thanks USX Pest!

The tech was incredibly professional and did a very thorough job. It was apparent he took pride in his work and went the extra mile. I was very impressed with his expertise and the time he took to do the job right.

I highly recommend this company. They showed up as promised and went above and beyond to clear my house of squirrels and yellowjackets. Victor was amazing at closing up spaces where pests can enter and matching our house color. Would use them again and recommend them to others.

USX Pest gave me prompt service, treated for pests of many types. It’s been so quiet at night, and I’m not greeted by hornets at bedtime. Thanks USX Pest.

Bob showed up and replaced mouse traps. He also spread poison for carpenter ants around the perimeter of the house. Quick and efficient. Hardly knew he was here.

USX did an excellent job getting rid of the squirrels in my attic. They we professional and courteous. They help relieve the stress of the situation. I would definitely recommend them. The work they did was great and the customer service was amazing.

From the home inspection to the service technician, USX has been very professional and have communicated very well. Very pleased with the service contract and work done.

Purchased my information from somewhere and sent me sales text and refused to answer my questions around how they got my contact information. Person in charge of communicating through what probably starts as a mass text spam was very pushy on trying to sell me things instead of answering my questions about how they knew "what area" I was in and what list they bought my information from considering I don't live anywhere near their service areas. When prompted about what "area" they thought I lived in, they decided to go silent. It also appears that they stole the design of their company's character and website design from a company based out of Albany, NY by a different name, which is just another reason to stay away.

Kept getting charged after I canceled my service. And now it has been two months and still waiting for my refund, every time I email or call I am being told they are working on it. Wish it took them months to take money out not the other way around.

USX Pest came to my house gave me their promise that they could handle the problem. They said they would aggressively set traps to kill any rats for a few weeks before they would start step 2 which was sealing and securing my house. To my surprise, they sent someone within a week to seal up any holes- which essentially trapped the rats in my home. The person that was sent to seal my home did not even come prepared or have supplies and had to travel to Home Depot which was an hour of travel time- which I was paying for. That person worked for 5 hours yet I was charged for a full 8 hour day. The next day, a rat chewed a hole through my kitchen wall to get out. I immediately called USX Pest- there is no communication within that organization - there were follow up appointments scheduled that no one showed up for, work was never completed yet the bills keep coming. Horribly disappointed at the lack of professionalism, the inadequate work done and the lack of integrity.

Pricey. Did not solve issue.

Left trash all over my property, didn't complete the job in a timely manner, difficult to contact, paid way to much for very little work

Overall the service was expensive. I recently had a return visit as per the contract to check traps etc for any activity. The technician that came out this time with his associate discovered that two closeted areas in the kitchen area that had seen some activity and traps had had been placed were not cleaned at all and there was still evidence of that. The areas were promptly addressed this time. Does that mean because it was overlooked in the past visits does that mean it added to the problem. I do not know, it is a concern and I would expect they are reliable and this simply was a mistake.
