I contacted Action Pest for help with bat removal. They were my second company I contacted, as the first was not successful. The level of professionalism was evident from the first assessment / inspection. They are certified for bat removal (which is a protected species in MA) and set about sealing the house from the outside thoroughly and then when the window opened for the bat mitigation they sealed the attic from the inside. We couldn't be happier with the work done for us by Action Pest Management. Dereck resolved a longstanding bat infestation in our attic, carefully closing all possible entry points and humanely removing the bats with one-way exit tubes. He also installed a new chimney cap to replace a poorly secured one that had blown down. Dereck was courteous, professional, and communicative from the first phone call through the completion of the job. It was a pleasure to do business with him and wish every experience with a contractor or service provider could be as positive.

This is an amazing company. Dereck did did a great job in removing skunks that had taken up residence under my mobile home. He came to my house the day after I had called and returned every day until the problem was solved. Definitely knows his business when it comes to this type of problem. I called Action Pest Management to handle rodent problems at my elder parent’s home while I was visiting from out-of-town. They responded immediately and set up a treatment plan. Derek was our service provider and he was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. He explained what he was doing & left the space spotless when he was done. Derek from Action pest was amazingly responsive and timely. We found that a bat had gotten into our log home. I had assumed it was a one-off thing, until we saw more and realized the bats were raising babies in the home. Derek came over the day I called and put in some short term measures in place to keep the bats from entering the house and explained the entire process for bat eviction. Since bats are protected, they cannot be evicted until the babies are old enough to go out on their own (which is August 1st). He kept the bats out of the living area. He promptly came back and performed the eviction. Derek was incredibly thorough sealing every nook and cranny, leaving one-way pipes for any remaining bats to get out and not be able to get back in. He then came and sealed everything up. Also, while we was here, he got rid of a few yellow-jacket nests. All the work was done with aesthetics in mind as well. Derek was always prompt, courteous, and professional. He is a career pest control professional. I cannot recommend him enough.

Requested carpenter ant treatment for the house explicitly requiring treatment that would not adversely affect the bees or other insects in the area. We then had the carpenter ant control treatment around our house. They used fipronil which is a known contributor to honeybee colony collapse. We are devastated as we now see no bees, butterflies or even hummingbirds in our beautiful garden, and feel terrible for having inadvertently contributed to this destruction.
