Apex Pest Control is owned and operated by Mike. Mike got his start in customer service in 1991. He managed over 700 rental units in Ft. Wayne, IN, and solved infestations large and small that came with the transitioning residency. Mike started Apex Pest Control out of the realization that insect infestations affect all economic classes, and the belief that everyone deserves to live pest free. Today, he lives up to not only that commitment, but the promise to deliver affordable, practical pest control, and solve infestation problems people may be facing today, and in the future.

I've used Apex Pest Control for a few years at my home out in the country and they took care of all the inside and outside pests. I always appreciated that I got a text when the tech was on his way! Now that I've moved into the city, I have a new set of pest problems, and Mike came out to talk to me about my different options. I love how he broke it down into terms I could understand without making me feel dumb. He treated my ant issue and will be back to do an "all over" treatment later. I will always choose Apex over any one else!

Apex Pest Control was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. I contacted Mike about a bee issue on my property, and he responded quickly, scheduled an appointment promptly, and showed up right on time. Mike was extremely knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything—what kind of bees we were dealing with, how the removal process would work, and how to prevent future issues. He handled the situation with care, making sure the bees were removed safely. I was especially impressed by how thorough and respectful he was of the property. Mike is amazing. We had a yellow jacket nest inside our roofline and Mike came out to take care of it within 20 minutes of contacting him. Another local pest control company tried to charge us $800 for the work and told us it would be a week and a half before they could come out but, with Apex, it was only a fraction of the price. Mike is extremely kind and professional and has definitely earned all of his great reviews.

I called this business, spoke to Mike, and he was at my house 20 minutes later! He removed a wasp nest from our outside vent. Fair price, polite, and more prompt than I ever thought possible.

I contacted APEX Pest Control in Fort Wayne this morning and the owner, Mike, answered. I told him that I had bees coming out of a hole in the ground on my property and was afraid someone might get stung. He told me the price upfront and said he would treat the bees today. He texted me before his arrival. Mike arrived this afternoon as promised. His price for this project was reasonable. I asked about perimeter insect spray for my home and an additional outbuilding. He could treat those four times a year for a price that is half the cost of what I have been paying a large, advertised company. Mike is very professional and I highly recommend him.

I Highly recommend using Apex Pest Control! I had a lot of bees swarming in one area on the outside of my house and was unable to locate a nest. I was definitely concerned because I have a dog and I also started noticing bees in my basement. Mike came out immediately and I haven’t had an issue since!

Paid almost $500 for half a year of pest control without ANY call outs for service. This was during winter before there were even really any pests to be controlled. After realizing I was about to start getting charged even more during actual pest season, I called Mike to ask some questions. He confirmed that they had been charging me $40/mos just to come "check" bait stations, and that mine hadn't really needed much bait. Yikes. Really? When I told him we'd like to cancel he proceeded to charge me an additional $120 for cancelation. The only businesses who charge cancelation fees are the ones who know their customers are eventually going to get tired of being ripped off, and want a way to soften the blow of losing customers to bad business practices. You can find better pest control cheaper. I am confident I can find someone honest enough not to bill me for nothing for several months to help them through their lean season, and then fleece me again on the back end when I cancel.

We’d like to clarify a few important points.<br>You signed up for two separate services beginning November 15, 2024: general pest control and rodent baiting. The pest control program includes four treatments over the course of a year, two of which were completed—one on the day you enrolled (interior and exterior) and the second at the start of spring (April 15). The remaining two were scheduled for later in the season. Though the agreement reserved a spot in our service schedule, we honored your cancellation without charging any fee, even though most of our upfront costs (materials and labor) were incurred early.<br>The rodent baiting service involved placing four exterior commercial-grade bait stations and performing a full attic baiting—both of which were completed. This service was billed monthly at $40 and included periodic inspection and maintenance over a 12-month term. While your bait stations didn’t require heavy consumption (a good sign), the stations were still maintained and monitored during your service term. The cancellation fee you mention was outlined in the agreement to cover upfront costs spread out over the year, and we applied it according to the terms you agreed to.<br>We strive to be fair and transparent, and we’re always available to discuss any concerns one-on-one. Had a bee problem for the 1st time coming in through my stove vent. Had called several companies wanting one locally owned/operated. Found Apex & called Mike. He was a bit less expensive than another company I was considering so I chose Apex. So glad I did! He was efficient, knowledgeable & answered all my questions with patience. Very kind & gave me alot of great info moving forward. Wouldn't hesitate to use him again & highly recommend. Great job Mike!

I don’t even know how this company has good reviews. Called on Friday about an enormous amount of wasps, said they would be out Monday - didn’t even call on Monday. Called on Tuesday and they came out. Told them everything I needed on Friday during the call and on Tuesday. They sent us the quote, which was for one wasp nest and not all that I had mentioned. Knocked all the wasps nest down and left them in our yard when we have three young kids playing. Terrible. Will NEVER use again. Ever. $175 for one nest and a spray that didn’t even hit the nest, which Michael told us it wasn’t going to hit. Who does that? He literally spent 20 minutes to knock down nests and leave them, which is what we could have done. Then charged us that $150 for being “late”. The reason sometimes you just don’t do local business, which is sad. Shame on Apex.
