Critter Cowboys

There is a guy named Josh who we paid to remove a racoon from our attic and repair the siding on our house. We paid him and then notified him that the raccoon was in the trap that he set on our roof and he stopped responding to us. The raccoon sat in the trap for over 24 hours and hurt itself trying to break free. Had to pay another company to come and resolve the issue. Would not recommend and Josh should be reported.

Josh gets the job done. He humanely tries and evicted the squirrels from the very top soffit of my house. He also put plastic bird spikes across a window in the back of my house where the squirrels used to dance like it was a ballroom!

Josh was awesome. Found a dead deer in our backyard and he came out the same night. No more smell to worry about.

Josh came in a Sunday morning when no one else could! He went under a crawl space under my apartment building to hunt for my missing cat, which the fire department and animal control had refused to do, as there were flooded spots. He made sure my cat was not stuck there, allowing me to look other places. It was a big relief, and he is very knowledgeable about hunting for lost pets in difficult places!

Critter Cowboys was one of the best companies I’ve worked with in a long time. They answered my call right away, showed up promptly, and offered fair, reasonable pricing. The team was professional, knowledgeable, and made the whole process stress-free. If you’ve got unwanted critters around, I highly recommend giving them a call—they really know what they’re doing and make sure the job gets done right.

Had a dead doe in the yard and Critter Cowboys handled it. Josh was at my house within an hour of my phone call. Very professional and friendly. I will certainly use him again if needed.

Josh did a great job closing up some woodpecker holes within our cedar siding. Would recommend and enlist future work from him.

I am renting a townhouse and had found mouse droppings. My landlord contacted Josh, paid him up front for his services. He had supposedly been out to the house a couple of times and when asked about mouse droppings he replied that he had finished the work but needed to come back to clean up - huh? Why would you make an extra trip to clean up. She had tried to contact him with no success so I stepped in to advocate for her. After telling him I would no longer leave the key out for entrance when I was not home, he promised to show up a couple of times and eventually went silent. VERY disappointed especially seeing as my landlord appears to be out the money and he cannot even prove he was even at the home to provide any services at all. Very unreliable and unprofessional.

Joshua answered the phone right away after I had spent over an hour playing phone tag with other companies, and the ones who did answer wanted to put chemicals down to kill a bee nest next to my blueberry bushes. Joshua was able to come that same day. He dug up the nest very carefully (trying to avoid the roots of my bushes) and took the nest and the queen with him. No chemicals!! I will call him again.

Josh was very knowledgeable and kind! He was quickly able to find where the rodents chewed through and got rid of them. Please don’t hesitate to try him if you ever have a critter problem he is the best! Highly recommend!

Cannot say enough about the professionalism,compassion and integrity of this company. We had a very emotional morning.. A deer impaled herself on our fence. The sheriff's department came a tried to help rescue her. They couldn't and had to shoot her. They left her on the fence. I called different companies to remover her. Josh was so kind and came immediately to remover her. He made a very emotional situation easier. I cannot say enough about this company and Josh. Thank you for your kindness.

Josh was very responsive, professional and had the best price and availability. He took care of a deceased animal on our property within hours of the initial inquiry. I would definitely call him in the future if needed.

I highly recommend using Critter Cowboys! Josh was AMAZING! Came out first thing this morning and removed a possum from my attic and repaired my roof! Very nice, and knowledgeable! Would definitely recommend! So grateful for him and his company!

Honestly one of the best services I have received! Josh was very kind and knowledgeable about the pests we had, as well as finding their entry point. He was able to get rid of our pests in a timely and efficient manner. 10/10 customer service! I will definitely be using them again if we run into anymore issues.

We had Josh work on our home last year (February 2024). We had squirrels/flying squirrels creating havoc in our attic. Josh was knowledgeable and kind. He worked to remedy the holes/spaces all along our home where critters were entering. He came out to do one or two follow ups, but never actually caught any of the critters. A couple of months after he performed his services, we continued to hear critters in the attic. We called Josh to follow up numerous times and he would not return our phone calls. Now fast forward one year (February 2025) we are in worse shape than we were one year ago. We called another service to come out and take a look at what was going on and they found critters still invading our attic and crawl spaces. All of the work Josh did to secure these spots were done with mesh wiring, which did not hold in place. It was not secured. So critters continued to enter. We now are about to pay TRIPLE what we paid Josh last year to actually get our issue fixed. We really liked Josh. He was personable, seemed knowledgeable and he was respectful and kind. We are just extremely disappointed in his lack of true follow up and also with the quality of his work and want to warn others before continuing to do business with him that you may find yourself in worse shape than you started. *Edited to add - reference Invoice #000176 dated February 14, 2024.

Update: I will leave another review. I politely have given them two stars and I will retract one to give them one whole star. It does not let me respond to their reply. I see other reviews complain about the same… great first initial contact. He might probably do a great job, but when it comes to contacting them again or asking this company to service again because (like in my case) tenants complain that this company didn’t do anything.. they disappear. They also have a “warranty”. They ghost you completely. I was lucky to get some responses but no actions. Leaving my tenants with a day off from work and no show. Even after leaving a review, Josh contacted me to tell me he will finally service my units and has ghosted me once again. (city is informed that we purchased a fixer upper and a band aid fix is not what I call an over a thousand dollar treatment to get rid of pests- when you don’t have enough money to throw down several more thousands of dollars to get the building perfect.. this company is supposed to focus on pest control and city is well aware and has visited the property. It is completely operable and no major problems EXCEPT FOR PESTS and this company failed over and over again.) Josh has refused to answer calls. Texts. Attempts from my tenants. Knowing I have a problem. After he provided a year-long warranty. Please save your money. He will fool you and I am not the only one he has done this to, unfortunately. Sometimes people show you they’re not worth it and rather than making things right.. this company is the type to argue with their customer and or ignore you :( all we ever wanted was to get rid of a pest invasion… (Older review)This company has HORRIBLE communication. In particular with Joshua. I paid over a thousand dollars with a year warranty on his services and my tenants are complaining as though nothing has been done. Oddly enough, he was great to answer for initial service but has dogded every call or text. Ignored my attempts to reach him. Ignored my tenants. Has never contacted them to make proper appointments for services. He ran off with our company’s money and never has answered even a text. BEWARE of this company and I recommend spending your money with someone more honest and reliable!!! I have filed a formal complaint with BBB as well.

Josh was very professional, prompt and polite. He did a great job for us placing the wire mesh to keep out more bats. However, he was unresponsive once I paid the bill. He never came back to get the trap and remove the last bat that he was not able to catch. My closing for my mortgage was held up for more than a week and my lender had to get involved to get the report from him. He still hasn't come back after multiple texts and voicmail messages. He responds that he will be here, but doesn't show back up. Be sure you get the full job completed before paying!

Find someone, anyone else. Avoid these guys.

I have given this company so many chances. They did the service but when it comes to get a hold of them after the service is done its really tiring. I called and texted multiple time both brothers to get ahold of continously noise i keep getting in the attic and no response from them. Im soo annoyed with the excuses and set up date with time they were suppose to come. I lost a day of work because they told me they were going to come in the morning and didnt even to bother to let me know they weren't going to come. I ask few hours before by my appointment time to see if they were still going to come and no response.

I am extremely frustrated to say the least. Our house had a rat infestation and after sealing and trapping the home we also asked that they clean up our crawlspace. I am military are not there to see the job and they lied to my wife, showing her a clean section of the crawlspace but did not clean any other part of it. My wife trusting them wrote a check for thousands of dollars that we have now lost. After coming home on a visit, I saw the unfinished crawlspace job and have tried to call and text them daily, with no answers or callback. Justin called me back 5 days ago, apologized after my initial bad review but again, I have not heard from him and will not answer my calls. Now I have to spend more money on another company to do a job they said they would do. They took advantage of my wife and my absence.

I have paid over $1200 for Rodent remiadation. I have selected the provider in good faith looking at reviews. Now within the warrant period, the Rodents are back in the attic. After 5 attempts between requesting remediation and multiple no shows, I am forced to write this honest review. They didn't even have the courtesy to call and let us know they are not going to make it. The solution/remediation didn't work, horrendous customer service. This service provider disappeared on us and left us hanging. Terribly Disappointed.

He promised several times to check my traps...over 14 days ...have mice decaying in my attic...he is horrible
