2 am wake up call when the pickup drove through the cul-de-sac and turned on the spray/fog machine that I guess kills the mosquitoes that are in the middle of the road cause it doesn't hit any grass/plants/water/etc.... what's the point of this and how is it effective?

Hello Ryan,<br>We apologize that our application disturbed you. Ultra Low Volume (ULV) truck fogging is performed at night to target host-seeking adult mosquitoes that are actively flying. This is done to reduce the adult biting mosquito population including the vectors of West Nile virus (WNV), which is very active this year in Northern Colorado with 94 mosquito pools (samples) testing positive for the virus and 14 human cases in Larimer County so far in 2023. The ULV application rate and droplet size is calibrated to be suspended in the air and drift with the breeze from the roadway to impact only flying mosquitoes with no appreciable deposition and no residual pesticide activity on surfaces or in standing water. Any applications to standing water for mosquito larvae occurs during the day and is done by hand or with powered backpack applications.<br><br>We hope this was helpful!
