Lawn services might be eco-friendly but their truck exhaust is so dirty I watched a bonfire's worth of emissions spew out over just a half mile. Time for a fleet tune-up, OL.
My family has had Organolawn servicing our yard for at least 7 years, and we think they're terrific!!! It is such a relief not to have any dandelions in our very large yard! We try to follow all of the directions given with the applications, and have always had excellent results. The purpose of various applications are explained thoroughly in the company's literature, as well as what the homeowner needs to do to optimize the treatments; it is important to read this information and act accordingly. The technicians are friendly and respectful. Daniel, who did our last treatment, was exceptionally helpful and thorough, even taking time to help clear up some leaves and debris from our porch! I am very happy to recommend Organolawn to friends, family, and neighbors. We are blessed to have a safe option for lawn care!!! It's not the cheapest, but it's the BEST!!!

SHELDON MINNS did a great job on the emergent weed application to our mulch rock beds. DUSTIN ROCKLAG of Organo-Lawn did a wonderful job spreading Synergy on our lawn and native area! We've been very pleased with Organo-Lawn's work over many years, and our landscape shows the great results of their efforts. Organo-Lawn coordinates well with our other landscapers too.

Employees are great, looks like Applicator was JJ Van Rensbu, they are pretty good about lawn care and sprinkler maintenance , appreciate the updates to watering schedule and mowing tips. We do have a couple issues still needing resolving with weeds and dead spots, I'm sure they will figure it out.
Jose was very knowledgeable and pleasant. I would recommend him to other customers. Kerry

Wyatt did a fantastic job today aerating my lawn and applying Synergy. I noticed great results after the first Synergy application so I imagine today's will continue to improve my weed situation. Thanks, Wyatt!

The ABSOLUTE worst!! STAY AWAY FAR AWAY. The guy with the bowl haircut is rude horrible and obviously looks down on woman by the way he speaks run away FAST
Response from Organo-Lawn of Boulder
This review has to be fake. We don't have any customer by the name of Danielle Davis, and the statements made do not reflect our business or policies. We would never hire anybody with a bowl haircut!
Japanese Beetle Prevention spray is a scam. Marketing material says it is "long lasting and effective" and provides 2-4 weeks of protection. We had it applied and 2 weeks later our grape vines were completely destroyed. I emailed them 17 days after the application with pictures (after we got home on vacation, but I know the vines were destroyed after 14 days because the person checking on our house told us) and I was told they don't provide any guarantee that it will be effective and that it was "well past" 2 weeks. For something advertised as lasting 2-4 weeks saying we are "well past" the effectiveness at 17 days is disingenuous (and why they advertise as long lasting when it is only supposed lasts 2 weeks is also sketchy). They also said "the beetles must feed on the treated plants in order to ingest the product and be affected by it." which was never mentioned in the marketing materials and defeats the purpose of the spray if they are going to destroy my plants in the process.
Response from Organo-Lawn of Boulder
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience.

Our Japanese Beetle Prevention spray is designed to provide up to 2–4 weeks of protection under typical conditions, but effectiveness can vary depending on weather, pest pressure, plant type, and other environmental factors. While we strive to be as clear as possible, your feedback points out areas where we can improve our communication, and we take that seriously.
I'm not your customer but you guys are polluting everywhere where your ancient dodge trucks are driving! It's just crazy the amount of smoke that your trucks leave behind!! If you are applying organic stuff to the lawns of your clients so they don't pollute the soil, how come you guys don't care about polluting the air?
Response from Organo-Lawn of Boulder
We got a good laugh out of your comment about our "ancient trucks"—thanks for that!

We totally get how, as someone who's not a customer, it might seem odd that we hang on to our older trucks. But there's a method to our madness:

These trucks aren’t loaded with modern computers, so we can actually work on them ourselves without needing a dealership.

We’ve chosen a make and model known for having a million-mile motor—seriously, they’re built to last.

Most importantly, these are work trucks. They take a beating, and newer trucks just don’t hold up the same way in the field.

That said, we do take emissions seriously. Every year, each of our trucks has to pass an emissions test before it can be registered—and they all do. If one happens to develop an issue in between inspections, we rely on our team and sometimes the public to help spot it so we can get it to our mechanic ASAP.

If you happened to catch the truck number, we’d really appreciate it. We test drove the whole fleet recently and didn’t notice any issues, but we’re always happy to double-check.
We have used Organo-Lawn for 4 years (2021). They restored the health of our lawn without the use of harsh chemicals which I really appreciate since we have pets. They have consistently stood behind their services and have never missed an appointment. It’s helpful that they offer lawn care treatments, sprinkler services, and aeration all under one roof.
Response from Organo-Lawn of Boulder
Thank you Suzanne for being a loyal customer and the wonderful feedback. Thanks again!
Great customer service, really appreciate the extra effort to get our lawn on the right track!
************WARNING**************** I have used organo-lawn for 3 years and I am still getting weeds!!!! They charge me $3000 a year and as you can see from my pictures my lawn looks no better off than if I didn’t use them at all. In the past I have brought up that I am still getting dandelions and other weeds that grow and am given a variety of excuses as to why. This year after bringing up that I was still getting weeds they told me I had to have another service which costs $500 to kill the weeds. I had just been billed $750 for pre emergent service which you can see from the pictures the weeds still emerged! When I first refused to pay for the service they said they would do the next service for free or if I refused to pay they would send me to Collections. I paid the outstanding balance but refused the free service they offered so they would not be able to respond to this review as they have in the past that I was just a disgruntled customer that refused to pay or that they offered me a free service. At the end of the day they say their service will incrementally get better every year but that’s a farce it will look the same every year with weeds everywhere. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU WANT TO PAY FOR AN EXPENSIVE SERVICE THAT DOES NOT WORK!!!
Response from Organo-Lawn of Boulder
Thank you for paying your invoice! We wish you all the best with your next lawn care provider. We truly enjoyed working on your lawn, and we have to say—it looked fantastic the last time we visited! We only wish we could share the photos we have on file from the last visit to show just how great it looked.
After a book of email exchanges on what I believe Good Business 101 in our world today, I was left with a response in the vein of .... "I think it's best we part ways." In other words, Organo-Lawn refused to see my side or take my advice in honoring a quote for service. I'm all for quotes needing change if necessary but to leave a gaping hole for willy nilly increases without notification is sketchy. The matter should have been discussed with me FIRST. Simply put, they need to amend their written rules of procedure with regard to procedure, payment and penalties for totals billed. It's almost like dealing with government --- in my humble opinion. Response from Organo-Lawn of Boulder
We truly did our best to work with you and address your concerns. After considerable effort, we felt it was in both of our best interests to part ways. We wish you all the best moving forward and hope your next service provider is a great match for your needs!

Response from Organo-Lawn of Boulder
Hi Laura,
Thanks for sharing the great review. It is always great to hear when a customer's lawn is looking great and we will make sure to pass on the great review to Ralph. Hopefully he got to try one of those cookies?
Organo-Lawn rescheduled two consecutive appointments in two weeks. We decided not to use their services due to customer service issues. We were looking to become a new customer but could tell they are either too busy or not interested in our business. Business was at their convenience and not the customer's convenience. Edit: Response to owner; our property is just northeast of Boulder. So if you are in the Boulder area, don't expect any kind of reliable service.
Response from Organo-Lawn of Boulder
As mentioned, we're sorry that we don’t currently service your area. Unfortunately, we're not able to cover every location at this time, but we truly appreciate your interest in our services.
I'm a new home owner and Organo Lawn accepted my last minute request to get a sprinkler blowout. Foolishly, I waited until the last minute, but they were very flexible. MITCHELL BOSTON was an awesome technician -- he did a great job!
Response from Organo-Lawn of Boulder
Hi EG,

Thanks for the kind review. We are glad to hear that we had space and could get you in last minute. We will also let Mitch know that he did a great job for you.

Thanks Again!
We had Organo-Lawn help us winterize our sprinklers. This turned out to go much smoother than with other companies so I felt compelled to leave a review. Thanks!
Response from Organo-Lawn of Boulder
Thanks for the great review. We are glad things went smooth for you and thank you for taking the time to share!
I have used Organo Lawn for several years and my lawn just keeps looking better. From aeration to organic treatments, to sprinklers, I am happy with all of their services. Today Alex M came and shut down my sprinkler system, answered all of my questions efficiently and happily and recommended my next care steps for fall and next spring. Thank you, Alex!
Response from Organo-Lawn of Boulder
Thanks Julie, we really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. This made our day!
Poor service and product. No accountability for the service they provide. Never fail to invoice for the service, when we say we don't need a specific service, they send us an invoice for not subscribing to all their services even if we don't need it. We contacted them 3 time to get a refund, unwilling to work with a customer who paid full fee. Terrible product and service. Don't get caught up in their services.
Response from Organo-Lawn of Boulder
Thank you for your comment. We're not entirely clear on the concern based on the information provided. During our last visit, your lawn was rated 9 out of 10 for color (Excellent), 8 out of 10 for density (Very Good), and 1 for weed presence (Excellent). If you could please contact our office to help clarify the issue, we’d be happy to address it or provide any needed explanation.
Not an bot, they don’t like bad reviews for their bad service and broken promises. Over-priced, broken/failed appointments for no reasons, booked initial appointment in advance, waste of time and money ( my ground moisture content). Not good.
Response from Organo-Lawn of Boulder
We are not sure if this is the wrong business, what this even really says or why it says not a bot. We don't have a customer by this name, we don't make appointments (we schedule for a day but nobody needs to be home), and have not idea what my ground moisture content, means.
Quoted me a price for weed killer application on my small back yard, then after I paid it they doubled the price and sent me an email with another bill and a late fee threat. And the application didn’t even kill my weeds. Don’t use this company. There is no way my small back yard is 8000 square feet unless the technician mistakenly measured and treated my front yard instead of the back. And then to blame it on me and imply I lied about the size of my yard. The lack of professionalism speaks for itself. I would be happy to let anyone come measure the area that was supposed to be treated.
Response from Organo-Lawn of Boulder
We're sorry to hear that you feel the quote was inaccurate. After reviewing the notes on your account, here’s what we found:

When you initially contacted us, you estimated your lawn to be approximately 1,500 square feet. However, upon arrival, we measured the actual size at 8,000 square feet. The original quote was based on the information you provided, and we explained at the time that the final price would be adjusted to reflect the actual square footage after the treatment.

We also advised that October is quite late in the season for post-emergent weed control, which can result in slower visible results due to the natural decline of weed growth. Nonetheless, you chose to proceed with the treatment to prepare for sod installation.

The final invoice was adjusted from $76.25 to $128.50—a difference of $52.25—not double the original estimate. Regarding the late fee notice, it included no harsh or threatening language; it simply outlined the balance due and stated that the late fee would be waived if payment was made within two days.

We truly value customer feedback and use it to improve our service. In this case, a more precise square footage estimate during the initial call might have helped avoid any confusion.

Thank you for your time and understanding.
Don’t be fooled. They are not in the business of fixing your lawn issues. They want you to sign up for continued treatments. I paid for their most expensive treatments, their sprinkler audit, their deep core lawn aeration. They said it could take 2 yrs for my lawn to recover. I watered according to their recommendations, aerated in spring and fall, and my lawn looks even worse after 2 years. A lot of wasted money. Their guy even did the sprinkler audit while it was pouring rain!!! They did not use collection cups. When I said, “How can you determine water coverage while it’s raining?” He told me this was my scheduled day and it couldn’t be rescheduled. Go with someone else. Lots of lawn care choices out there If you read the response from Organo-Lawn below, you will see they were able to diagnose my problem from the picture and there was an easy fix. They said I should water deeply for 3 days and then return to my normal watering schedule. Why wouldn’t they share this information when we exchanged emails???? If there’s “ a simple fix” why didn’t they tell me?? They made no offer to help. Just said I needed to schedule another $75 lawn evaluation.
Response from Organo-Lawn of Boulder
We believe this review may be based on a misunderstanding, as we have not serviced your lawn in nearly two years.

You contacted us on May 17, 2022, expressing concerns about your lawn’s condition and requesting that a manager inspect it. At that time, we informed you that your lawn care services with us were discontinued in early 2020—almost two full years prior. Since you were no longer an active customer, we explained that any evaluation would require a consultation fee.

Our records from the last time we serviced your lawn show it was in excellent condition:

Color: 8/10 (Very Good)

Density: 9/10 (Excellent)

Weed Rate: 1/10 (Excellent)

Given the time that has passed, it’s understandable that your lawn may have declined without ongoing maintenance. Alternatively, it’s possible this review was meant for another company—if so, we recommend reaching out to them directly for assistance.

That said, based on the photos you shared, it appears your lawn is currently affected by Ascochyta leaf blight, a condition often caused by inconsistent or improper watering. Fortunately, this is usually easy to correct. We recommend conducting a sprinkler audit and watering deeply for three consecutive days, followed by a return to the 1-2-3-2-1 lawn watering method.
Total disaster - never met a less customer oriented company - the "manager" is rude and full of herself. Front lawn was great, back needed attention - they killed both lawns. Never checked in on it, just asked me to send pictures - terrible service and performance...
Response from Organo-Lawn of Boulder
We’ve carefully reviewed the full email correspondence between you and our office, and we did not find any instances where our office manager was rude or acted “full of herself.” Below is a summary of the exchange to provide clarity:

You: “What are the findings? My lawn looks dead!”
Organo-Lawn: “The technician found the lawn has Ascochyta, which is a minor stress fungus. You can water the lawn for 3 consecutive days to help it bounce back. It typically takes about 7–10 days. The lawn also needs time to adjust to the new watering schedule. Because the roots were shallow, it takes time for them to grow deeper and become more resilient to heat stress.”

You: “Ok, FYI most of the front lawn looks dead...”
Organo-Lawn: “Would you be able to send us some photos of the struggling areas and the lawn as a whole? I’d like to forward those to the manager.”

You: “We’re very disappointed and getting impatient. The lawn looks worse than before we hired you…”
Organo-Lawn: “I definitely understand your frustration. I’ll send the photos to the manager and owner to help assess what’s going on.”

You: “The lawn is a disaster and worse since I hired you—totally unacceptable. I’m looking for another lawn care company. I won’t pay you any more for this terrible service. Tell your manager and owner that—their response will determine the tone of my Google review.”
Organo-Lawn: “I’m very sorry you’re so frustrated with the condition of the lawn. We’d be happy to have a manager meet with you in person to take a closer look and go over everything together. Would you be available for a site visit?”

You: “Why?”
Organo-Lawn: “We want to ensure we’re on the same page and answer all your questions. It might be necessary to review the sprinkler system as well, so it would be helpful if you could be present. If not, we’ll do our best with the available information.”

You: “Are you kidding? We did that twice—this is a waste of time and money.”
You (follow-up email before we could respond): “You know what, forget it. You’re fired. DO NOT CONTACT ME AGAIN. Tired of your customer-unfriendly responses and terrible service.”
