Ruffled Feathers Bird Control

Forget previous post. I don't have any experience with this company.

Ian came out promptly for both the estimate and the work itself. Extremely knowledgeable on options to detour birds that have been trying to nest under eves, shelves, and little spaces all around the house. We contact folks from contractors, roofers, pest control companies, no one came close to Ruffled Feathers Bird Control on options and very reasonable pricing. The clean up after the work was done was amazing as well. I highly recommend these folks if you are have bird issues. Appreciate all the hard work Ian!!!

We had pigeons living underneath our solar panels. The panels generate almost half of our electricity needs. It was an investment that needed to be protected and well maintained. We reached out to Ruffled Feathers and Ian came out and got the job done right. The pigeons were still trying to get back underneath but the netting Ian installed held up and have discouraged the birds from coming back. It has been now been well over two months and the pigeons are gone for good. Ian addressed and answered all our concerns and questions, kept us in the loop and is a respectful individual. Extremely pleased with the services provided.

Dang pigeons! Rats with wings! I have several inexplicable cubby holes on the roof around the house that the birds nest in every year. Found Ruffled Feathers online and Ian came right out and gave me a quote. He worked all day and the barriers he put up look great and will surely ruffle a few feathers. He was very conscientious and cleaned up everything really well. Reasonable prices and it was money well spent.

Love Ian and his work. He put grates on both sides in the soffits of my high water bungalow. The birds are all out of my attic, it only took him one day. Very knowledgeable about birds and their habits. Honest about the work and way more affordable than I originally expected. Love being able to support local small businesses.

Signed a contract with this company to provide pigeon control on my roof, and he has since disappeared. Called them and could only leave a message. Never heard back from them.

The solar people will neglect to mention the nuisance pigeons and other birds can create when there's a convenient nesting area under those panels. We've had Ian out twice to place bird control wire around our two sets of solar panels. Both times he was prompt and courteous, and he did a wonderful job. This sounds pretty basic, but we have a two-story and our pitched roof is Way Up There. We had a hard time doing it ourselves and our original chicken wire fix was sadly temporary, leading to nesting birds leaving droppings, eggs, and we were treated to the sounds of loud pigeon sex every morning. Ian not only braved the steep roof, he power washed the crap from under the panels, installed permanent screen barriers all around the open panels, and then cleaned up the old junk and pigeon droppings from the back patio. He left it looking nicer than when he came AND my house is now silent in the mornings. No more pigeons getting it on overhead. The cost was considerably less than what we'd been quoted from the solar people and the screening Ian used is barely noticeable from the street. Bonus is the pigeons have already begun flocking elsewhere. Best way to contact him is via e-mail, his lovely wife does the scheduling but if they say he'll be there on Tuesday, he'll be there on Tuesday. He usually doesn't answer his phone because he's based in Sac and he's usually driving all over the area; we're a good 45-minute drive from there. He also gives a discount for cash or check payment, which was nice and he's just a hell of a nice guy to know. We're thrilled with his service and highly recommend him.

Ian came over to do an estimate he was great. He showed us pictures of the issue and was extremely professional in his explanation of the work needing to be done. A pure delite to deal with.

Small local biz, great work and about half the cost of the larger pest companies

Absolutely excellent service! I called at 10 am to ask for an estimate, Ian was at our house by 12 pm. He was very informative, honest, and I felt that he had our best interests in mind. He was more interested in helping us with our bird problem than in selling us some product. He also had a wider variety of solutions than the other contractors that we asked for an estimate. Definitely an example of what a small business should be.

These guys never return calls or respond to their emails. It is frustrating.
